The weekend came faster than I expected.
I stood in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection.
"Why am I this nervous…?" I whispered softly.
It was just an amusement park.
Just a normal outing.
But still—
my heart wouldn't calm down.
Maybe it was because of yesterday.
Or maybe…
because all of them would be there.
Jiwoo.
Sihoon.
And Yian.
I took a deep breath and picked up my bag.
"It's nothing," I told myself.
"Just a normal day."
But somehow…
I knew it wouldn't be.
The amusement park was already crowded when I arrived.
The sound of laughter filled the air.
Bright lights.
Music.
Everything felt alive.
I looked around, trying to find them—
"Jia!"
I turned around—
and froze.
Jiwoo was walking toward me.
And right beside him…
Sihoon.
My heart skipped a beat.
Jiwoo was the first to step forward.
"Jia," he called with a warm smile.
I looked at them—
both of them standing side by side.
My heart started beating faster.
I didn't know why…
but I suddenly felt nervous.
"You came," Jiwoo said softly.
I nodded slightly.
"Yeah…"
Beside him, Sihoon stood quietly.
He didn't say anything.
But I could feel his eyes on me.
That only made my heart beat faster.
Just then—
"Hey!"
We all turned at the same time.
Yian came running toward us, slightly out of breath.
"So you're all here already," he said.
"I'm the only one who's late, huh?"
He looked around with a grin.
"Good. That means I didn't miss anything important."
"So, where should we go first?" Yian asked excitedly.
Jiwoo looked at me.
"You used to like rides, right?" he said with a soft smile.
I nodded slightly.
"Yeah…"
"Then let's start with that," he said, pointing toward a ride nearby.
Before I could say anything—
Jiwoo gently held my wrist.
"Come on," he said.
I froze for a second.
His touch felt familiar…
but at the same time—
different.
From behind us—
Sihoon watched quietly.
His expression didn't change.
But his eyes…
darkened slightly.
He looked at Jiwoo's hand on mine.
And something in his chest felt tight.
He didn't like it.
Not at all.
"…Let's go," he said suddenly, his voice calm but firm.
I turned back slightly—
but he had already started walking ahead.
Yian glanced at Sihoon as they walked.
Then his eyes shifted toward Jia and Jiwoo ahead.
A slow smile appeared on his face.
"So…" he said casually.
Sihoon didn't respond.
"You're just going to pretend you're okay with that?" Yian added.
Sihoon frowned slightly.
"With what?"
Yian let out a small laugh.
"Come on," he said.
"You've been staring at them this whole time."
Sihoon stayed silent.
"And don't tell me you didn't notice," Yian continued, lowering his voice a little.
"He's holding her hand."
Sihoon's expression hardened slightly.
"It's nothing," he replied.
Yian raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
He leaned a little closer.
"Then why do you look like that?"
Sihoon stopped walking for a second.
His eyes moved forward—
straight to Jia.
"…Let's just go," he said quietly
I turned back for a moment.
My eyes searched for him—
and found Sihoon.
But before our eyes could meet,
he looked away…
and walked in the other direction.
My chest felt strangely tight.
Why did he…?
"Jia?"
I turned back.
Jiwoo was looking at me.
"Come on," he said gently,
holding my hand again.
"Let's go."
I hesitated for a second…
then nodded.
We walked toward one of the rides.
I tried to focus on the moment—
on Jiwoo,
on the laughter around me.
But my thoughts kept drifting back.
To him.
When we reached the ride and stood in line,
I glanced to the side—
and froze.
Sihoon…
and Yian were there too.
Standing just a few steps away.
As the line moved forward, we finally reached the ride.
I hesitated for a moment, looking at the seats.
"Uh… I don't think I can do this," Yian suddenly said.
We all looked at him.
"I'm not good with heights," he added quickly.
Then he glanced at Sihoon—
"And he isn't either."
Sihoon frowned slightly.
"Since when?" he muttered.
But Yian ignored him and moved closer to Jiwoo.
"I'll go with you," he said, grabbing Jiwoo's arm casually.
Jiwoo looked a little surprised…
but didn't say anything.
And just like that—
they took the seats together.
I was left standing there.
Alone.
I blinked, a little confused.
Then—
"Come."
I turned.
Sihoon was looking at me.
"We'll go," he said simply.
I hesitated for a second.
My heart started beating faster again.
"I…"
Before I could finish—
he gently took my hand.
"It's fine," he said quietly.
And pulled me with him onto the ride. The ride started slowly.
At first… it felt normal.
But as it began to rise higher—
my chest tightened.
I gripped the seat nervously.
"I don't think I can do this…" I whispered.
Suddenly—
I felt a warm hand around mine.
I froze.
I looked to the side.
Sihoon was holding my hand.
"It's okay," he said quietly.
"I'm here."
My heart started beating even faster.
I stared at him for a moment.
The fear was still there…
but somehow—
it felt less.
Because of him.
I didn't realize it…
but I was still holding his hand tightly.I didn't realize it…
but I was still holding his hand tightly.
Suddenly—
the ride dropped.
"Ah—!"
I gasped, my body jerking forward.
Without thinking—
I leaned into him.
My hand tightened around his even more.
For a moment…
everything felt like it stopped.
I could hear my heartbeat—
loud and fast.
And then…
I realized.
I was too close.
My head was resting lightly against his shoulder.
I froze.
Slowly, I looked.
Our eyes met.
He didn't move away.
His hand was still holding mine.
"You're okay?" he asked softly.
In that moment…
I couldn't answer.
