He brought the two halves of the symbol together.
"Balancing the two is the key to success."
The symbol slowly dissolved into particles of mana.
"Too much Darkness and the donor may die."
"Too much Light and the transferred energy becomes unstable."
"Only by maintaining perfect balance can a healer achieve true regeneration."
Many students hurriedly wrote down every word.
Meanwhile, Ash simply nodded.
Everything Vastor was saying matched the conclusions that he and Raphael had reached through years of experimentation.
The only difference was that Vastor had arrived at those conclusions through decades of experience.
Ash had reached them through trial, error, and a lot of help from his memories of the book.
For the rest of the hour, Professor Vastor repeatedly demonstrated the simplest Tier Four Light Magic spell.
Again and again, the students practiced under his supervision.
Many struggled at first.
Some failed repeatedly.
Others took several attempts before they could properly balance the Light and Darkness elements required for the spell.
Eventually, however, every student managed to perform it successfully at least once.
The fastest student by far was Ash.
Vastor didn't even bother giving him a nickname.
Instead, he simply referred to him as "Healer Boy."
Ash had grasped the spell almost immediately and was able to perform it with remarkable precision.
Behind him came Young Miss, followed by Arrogant Face, Snob Face, and finally Edgy Face.
Lith had done his best.
He needed to experience the spell through fake magic first before he could reproduce and improve it using true magic.
As a result, he ended up in fifth place.
While that was still an excellent result, it was clear that Ash stood in a league of his own when it came to healing magic.
Vastor appeared increasingly satisfied as the lesson progressed.
Once everyone had successfully cast the spell, the professor nodded.
"Good."
"At least none of you are completely hopeless."
Several students sighed in relief.
Others looked offended.
Vastor ignored them.
With a wave of his hand, a large Warp Steps opened in front of the class.
The swirling portal emitted a soft blue glow.
"Come along."
"It's time to leave the classroom."
The students immediately gathered their belongings.
One after another, they stepped through the portal.
A moment later, they emerged outside White Griffon Academy's hospital.
The building was enormous.
Even from the outside, it was clear that it rivaled many of the kingdom's largest medical facilities.
Students, healers, nurses, and patients moved constantly in and out of the structure.
When the students stepped through the double doors, many of them stopped in shock.
The academy's hospital was unlike anything they had ever seen before.
It would have put even the most advanced hospitals from Ash's previous life to shame.
The floors cleaned themselves automatically through enchanted formations.
The beds could adjust their shape, move on their own, and even massage patients to prevent bedsores.
Numerous monitoring arrays continuously checked the patients' vital signs and alerted healers whenever something was wrong.
The air was fresh and clean.
There was none of the unpleasant smell of medicine and disinfectants that usually lingered in hospitals.
Everything was spotless.
The entire place felt more like a luxurious resort than a building filled with sick and injured people.
"What a marvel of magic!"
The comment came from Arrogant Face.
The fifteen-year-old boy with red hair looked around in amazement.
"But I suppose that's to be expected."
He turned toward Vastor.
"After all, Professor Vastor, you were the one who designed most of this hospital."
Several students immediately looked at the professor with newfound admiration.
Vastor blinked in surprise before suddenly recognizing him.
"Yurial, my boy!"
The old healer laughed.
"So that's where I've seen you before."
He patted the boy's shoulder.
"It's been a long time."
Then his expression softened slightly.
"How is your father, Deirus?"
"Being an Archmage is a heavy burden."
Vastor stroked his mustache.
"I hope you're preparing yourself to help him carry that burden in the future."
Yurial straightened proudly.
"Of course, Professor."
The old healer nodded approvingly.
Meanwhile, Ash quietly observed the hospital's enchantments and magical formations.
While the others were focused on the luxury and comfort, he was more interested in the incredible amount of magical engineering hidden throughout the building.
Many of the arrays were far more advanced than anything he had seen before.
Raphael immediately began recording every detail she could observe.
There was a lot they could learn from this place.
'Pity I can't use my Wisdom Eyes without blowing my cover's Ash thought as the moment he activate his Wisdom eyes his eys will revert to Rainbow colour and in this place with many any one can easily see his eyes which will raise many questions.
Professor Vastor was true to his word.
He brought the students directly to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
Once there, he had them examine patients one by one and diagnose the nature of their conditions.
After each diagnosis, Vastor compared their answers with the official medical charts while taking notes of his own.
Although academy regulations prevented him from assigning grades on the first day, that didn't stop him from criticizing mistakes.
Whenever a student missed an important detail, Vastor immediately pointed it out.
Loudly.
In front of everyone.
Needless to say, several students ended up thoroughly embarrassed.
Due to the nature of the exercise, the class was gradually divided into smaller groups.
After every student examined their first patient, Vastor began sorting them according to their level of skill and experience.
The first group consisted of those who had chosen the Master Healer specialization because of its prestige but lacked practical experience.
Most of them could only use Vinire Rad Tu, the common Tier One diagnostic spell.
That immediately revealed their limitations.
The second group consisted of the more talented students.
Ash, Snob Face, Young Miss, Yurial, Edgy Face, and several others belonged to this category.
Unlike the first group, they possessed personal diagnostic spells, advanced techniques, or practical healing experience.
To Vastor's surprise, Yurial, the son of an Archmage, was matched in accuracy by Snob Face.
Young Miss also performed exceptionally well.
Edgy Face proved especially talented.
