Early the next morning, while Ash and the group were eating breakfast, Misty noticed Aya wasn't there, so she asked in confusion, "Where is Miss Aya?"
Hearing Misty ask this, Koga revealed a meaningful smile and looked at Ash. "It's nothing, she's just feeling a bit unwell. I've already sent Janine to get some medicine for her."
"Is that so? That's good then."
"Yes, it is indeed very good."
Looking at Koga's smile, which seemed entirely too creepy, Ash patted Psyduck and said, "Psyduck... How about you use Disable to freeze him for me, and I'll make you a Supreme Lobster?"

Then, the ground trembled as a group of Ponyta and Scyther rapidly dashed over. Leading the pack were two girls in ethnic attire, riding on two Ponyta.
"Lara! Tomo!"
The girl Ash called Lara smiled when she saw him. Then, she leaped directly off her Ponyta toward him. Ash caught her very steadily.
"Lara..."
Looking at Lara and Ash hugging each other, Tomo, who had ridden over on a Ponyta, smiled.
"As expected..."
Misty and Suzie looked curiously at Lara, the girl who could captivate Ash to such an extent. Brock, standing to the side, turned his head, holding back his tears.
"Traveling with Ash is great in every way... except that it's easy to take emotional damage..."
After hugging Lara for a while, Ash looked at Tomo and said, "Sorry Tomo, I got a bit too excited here."
