"Everyone, today we welcome a new friend, Mr. Sebastian and his companion, Misty. Beside them are Mr. Sebastian's butler, Mr. Meowth, Pikachu, Chansey, and Kirlia."
Following the gentleman's words, the members of the Pokémon Lover's Club present all looked over. Upon seeing Ash's Meowth, Pikachu, and the others, their eyes lit up, and they quickly gathered around.
"Oh! Meowth's fur is so glossy and bright!"
"Chansey is wonderful too; it seems she's been taken care of very well since she was young."
"Pikachu is even cuter!"
"And Kirlia looks just like a little princess!"
"Pika!"
"Lucky!"
"Miss, would you like me to pour you a glass of water?"
Watching the reactions of these people, Ash was already certain. They were indeed genuine members of the Pokémon Lover's Club. Then what exactly was causing the previous troubles?
With this in mind, Ash walked over to Hypno and asked, "Excuse me, have you sensed anything strange recently?"
"Hypno? Hypno?"
"Drowzee! Drowzee!"
"Hypno! Hypno!"
Initially, Hypno shook its head, but with Drowzee's reminder from the side, Hypno seemed to remember something. Seeing this, Ash asked Meowth, "Meowth, what did Hypno and the others say?"
"Yes, my master. They said that a while ago, a bunch of bowl-cut weirdos were wandering around here, and it seems that every time they use their psychic powers, there's a strange feeling, meow."
"Oh, bowl-cuts? So you're saying these bowl-cuts are the culprits making my beloved Pokémon uncomfortable?"
"That is highly likely."
Seeing this, the gentleman couldn't help but ask, "Is something the matter, Mr. Sebastian?"
"Yes. To be honest, my Pokémon have been acting a bit strange lately, and Kirlia also mentioned feeling something odd. So, I figured that if it were other Psychic-type Pokémon, they would surely know something about the situation. I didn't expect to actually hit the jackpot."
"I see. Then, Drowzee, Hypno, do you remember where things started feeling off?"
"Hypno!"
"Drowzee!"
Hypno and Drowzee simultaneously pointed towards the underground.
"Under our club?!"
Ash thought for a moment before saying, "It looks like someone is using the Pokémon Fan Club as a front. I think we'd better notify Officer Jenny and her team."
"Exactly! You are absolutely right. We cannot tolerate our club being used like this! You have to understand that everyone here is wealthy; they won't just let it slide after being used as scapegoats."
Meanwhile, Ash walked over to Misty, who was holding Pikachu and discussing Water-type Pokémon with the wealthy ladies.
"I found the cause. Someone is causing trouble underground. I'm going to let Officer Jenny know. How about we go look at some Water-type Pokémon right after this?"
"You said it yourself... don't break your promise." Misty had completely gotten into character, vividly playing the role of an angry female companion. Even Ash had to marvel at the fact that girls are natural-born actors.
Soon, the already-prepared Officer Jenny and her squad rushed over after receiving the report. Interestingly, personnel from the Continental Hotel were also mixed in among them.
"We received a report saying that the culprit behind the disappearance cases is down here."
"Yes. According to what Drowzee and Hypno said, it should be underground."
After confirming there was an issue beneath them, Ash nodded and then threw his Poké Ball.
"Come on out, Charmeleon!"
"Char!"
Charmeleon let out a roar as it appeared, and Ash pointed at the ground, commanding, "Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!"
"Char!"
Charmeleon spewed scorching flames from its mouth, blasting a large hole in the ground. Revealed before everyone's eyes was a subterranean machining factory filled with various types of equipment.
"I see. It's highly likely they were manufacturing some kind of device down here. And this device accidentally resonated with the Psychic-type Pokémon Hypno's Hypnosis, which is what caused all this massive trouble. Isn't that right, madam?"
Saying this, Ash looked towards a purple-haired noblewoman. The woman looked at him somewhat strangely and asked, "Me? What would I know?"
"Oh, please. Haven't you noticed how completely out of place you've been this entire time? And haven't you noticed that everyone is subtly avoiding you?"
"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
"Next time you try to infiltrate us, please do your research properly, okay? In this entire venue, you are the only one with an open bottle of wine. True members of the Pokémon Fan Club would..."
Everyone present, including Misty, loudly finished Ash's sentence together in unison:
"...absolutely never allow themselves to neglect their Pokémon just to drink!"
