Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: What the First Emperor Forgot

Location: Hall of Forgotten Memories — The Sealed Memory Chamber

THE SEVENTH SEAL

The Hall had fallen completely silent.

Only three black chains remained around the forbidden memory.

They floated in the darkness like ancient serpents, each one covered in symbols that seemed to move whenever Qin Huaian looked at them.

The unknown voice had disappeared.

But its final words remained in everyone's mind.

"You will remember what the First Void Emperor forgot."

Fenglan looked at his father.

"Father…"

Qin Huaian didn't answer.

His eyes remained fixed on the sealed memory.

The Emperor's Will moved closer.

Its expression was unusually tense.

"You must stop."

Huaian finally looked at it.

"Why?"

"Because the First Emperor sealed this memory for a reason."

Huaian's gaze returned to the chains.

"Then he was afraid of what he remembered."

The Will fell silent.

That was enough of an answer.

Qin Huaian raised his hand.

The seventh seal shattered.

CRACK!

The entire Hall shook.

A wave of ancient Void energy spread outward.

Fenglan immediately summoned his Void power.

Meiyue activated her perception.

Xiaoxiao moved closer to Huaian.

But nothing attacked them.

Instead—

The world around them began disappearing.

THE FORGOTTEN BEGINNING

The floor vanished.

The walls vanished.

The crystal spheres vanished.

Even the Emperor's Will disappeared.

Only Qin Huaian, Fenglan, Meiyue, and Xiaoxiao remained inside an endless black space.

Then—

A single light appeared.

A tiny white point.

It slowly expanded.

And suddenly—

They saw a world.

Not a cultivation world.

Not an ancient civilization.

Something much older.

A world before the Five Great Families.

Before the known cultivation realms.

Before the current laws of heaven and earth.

There were no cultivators.

No spiritual energy.

No Void.

The world was peaceful.

Fenglan stared in disbelief.

"There was a time before cultivation?"

Meiyue nodded slowly.

"Apparently."

Qin Huaian said nothing.

He was watching the sky.

Something was wrong.

The stars weren't moving.

They were fixed.

As if the entire universe had not yet learned how to exist.

THE BIRTH OF POSSIBILITY

The scene changed.

A single point of light appeared in the center of the universe.

Then another.

Then another.

Countless possibilities began forming.

Worlds that could exist.

Worlds that could never exist.

Lives that would be born.

Lives that would never be born.

Everything existed as possibility before becoming reality.

Meiyue's eyes widened.

"The Void…"

She whispered.

"It existed before existence."

Huaian shook his head.

"No."

Everyone looked at him.

"The Void didn't exist before existence."

He stared at the countless possibilities.

"It existed alongside it."

Meiyue's expression changed.

She immediately understood.

The Void wasn't the opposite of existence.

It was the space that allowed existence to become possible.

THE FIRST MISTAKE

The vision changed again.

The young First Emperor appeared.

He stood before a vast field of possibilities.

At this point, he had not yet become the First Void Emperor.

He was simply a cultivator seeking answers.

A voice spoke from the darkness.

"You wish to understand the Void?"

The young Emperor looked around.

"Who are you?"

The voice answered:

"I am what remains when possibility refuses to become reality."

The young Emperor frowned.

"What does that mean?"

The voice responded:

"You will understand eventually."

Then—

The young Emperor reached toward the Void.

The possibilities around him began collapsing.

One by one.

Worlds disappeared before they could ever be born.

The young Emperor froze.

"What have I done?"

The voice remained silent.

The young Emperor looked at his hands.

For the first time—

He understood the danger.

The Void did not simply erase what existed.

It could erase what could have existed.

THE FORBIDDEN TRUTH

The memory suddenly changed.

The First Emperor was older now.

He had already established the Void cultivation path.

He had created techniques.

He had taught disciples.

He had become the strongest being of his era.

But he was obsessed.

He wanted to understand the origin of the Void.

He returned to the place where he had first encountered it.

There—

He found something.

A massive structure floating outside reality.

It was not a palace.

Not a world.

Not a weapon.

It was a door.

A door with no destination.

The young Emperor approached it.

Written across the surface were ancient words.

"Beyond this door lies every possibility that reality rejected."

The First Emperor's eyes widened.

He reached for the door.

And the moment he touched it—

He saw the future.

Countless futures.

In some—

He became immortal.

In others—

He became a god.

In others—

He destroyed everything.

But one future terrified him.

In that future—

There was no Qin Huaian.

No Fenglan.

No Meiyue.

No Xiaoxiao.

No Qin family.

No world.

Nothing.

The First Emperor stepped back.

For the first time—

He was afraid.

What He Forgot

The vision changed again.

The First Emperor stood alone.

His memories were beginning to disappear.

Not because someone attacked him.

Because he had begun removing his own attachments.

He believed attachment was the weakness preventing him from reaching the final realm.

So he erased them.

His friends.

His disciples.

His emotions.

His memories.

His name.

Everything.

Until only one thing remained.

His desire to transcend.

Then—

The unknown voice returned.

"You have forgotten why you began."

The First Emperor looked around.

"Why did I begin?"

The voice answered:

"You wanted to understand."

A pause.

"But somewhere along the way…"

"…you decided you wanted to control."

The First Emperor froze.

His eyes widened.

Then the memory shattered.

Huaian's Realization

The Hall returned.

Qin Huaian opened his eyes.

Fenglan stood silently beside him.

Meiyue was staring at the shattered memory.

Xiaoxiao looked toward Huaian.

For several seconds—

Nobody spoke.

Then Huaian finally said:

"So that's what he forgot."

Meiyue nodded.

"He forgot why he started walking the Void Path."

Huaian looked toward the remaining two seals.

"He began seeking understanding."

His eyes became colder.

"But power changed his question."

Xiaoxiao quietly asked:

"And what will your question be?"

Huaian looked at her.

There was no hesitation in his answer.

"To understand."

THE EIGHTH SEAL

The eighth chain began glowing.

No one touched it.

It broke by itself.

CRACK!

The entire Hall shook violently.

The final chain remained.

The Emperor's Will appeared again.

But this time—

It wasn't warning Huaian.

It was staring at the last seal in fear.

Because something was written upon it.

Not an ancient Void symbol.

Not a cultivation inscription.

A name.

A name that had never appeared anywhere in the ruins before.

THE NULL EMPEROR.

Fenglan's expression changed.

"Who is that?"

The Emperor's Will didn't answer.

Meiyue stared at it.

Then she whispered:

"Perhaps…"

"The one who existed before the First Void Emperor."

Qin Huaian looked at the final seal.

The unknown voice returned.

This time—

It spoke directly to him.

"If you break the final seal…"

"…the one who remembers everything will awaken."

Qin Huaian's expression remained calm.

He raised his hand.

The final chain began trembling.

And somewhere beyond the Hall—

Something ancient began to breathe.
