Kai silently stares outside the classroom, looking out the window where the third-year class is on the field for PE class. Looking back around, the classroom during this free period is noisy as usual. He listens to the chirping from others.
Some talk about the latest game, some are talking about homework, a few are also venting about this and that regarding their relationships with their partners.
Nothing special. Honestly, Kai is pretty bored with his activities. Starting with a normal day, normal routine, and finally going home normally.

Kai sighs and scribbles on the very back page of his notebook, making doodles about his plan before the true male lead of the game story, "Ren," comes to this school.

Kai glances and sees Chloe calling them, and instantly, the group of girls' faces light up as if they weren't just talking badly about Chloe.

However, in the game, it wasn't explained that her social circle was like this.
Opening his eyes, Kai then continues on to the cafeteria. The cafeteria atmosphere looks as crowded as usual. Taking a tray, he queues among the line of students waiting for their turn.
A few minutes into queuing, Reva smiles seeing Kai. Taking her tray, Reva picks today's lunch menu: hashbrown, scrambled eggs with veggies, and slices of watermelon.
"Here you go, handsome~" Reva says with a sweet smile in Kai's eyes. "Hmm~ what's with that long face~? You've got something on your mind?"
Kai looks into Reva's eyes and shakes his head. "Uh-nuh, just hungry."
"He~ hungry, huh... want me to give you an extra hashbrown?"
"Sure." Kai pushes his tray forward again, which makes Reva laugh and give him one more hashbrown.
"-For real~ You're applying to that modeling agency again!"
Kai and Reva's attention shifts upon hearing a fairly loud voice from the table where Chloe's group is sitting.
Teenage girls' friendships really are as thin as tissue paper, huh...
Kai looks back at Reva, "Thank you. big sister Reva."
"Sure thing, dear~" Reva puts her hand on her cheek as she bends a little. "You eating alone?"
"Yep, I don't really have friends."
"Hmm... you know, usually the top-ranked student in a year is popular."
Kai chuckles hearing that. He responds that it's a strange claim. The two of them chat briefly before Kai goes off to find a seat to have lunch.
But he doesn't find a single one. Turning around, looking here and there, Kai finds that the only empty seat is Lily's spot.
Uwaa... last boss heroines...
"Umm... May I sit down here?" Kai says in a very polite tone as if he is the butler talking to his master.
Lily looks to the side, tilts her head to see who spoke to her. She smiles and shifts a little to make room for Kai to sit. Sitting down, Kai eats his meal. This situation is really awkward for him. Eating with Lily wasn't in his plans this time.
Kai chews his food with his eyes fixed on Chloe, who's joking around with her 'friends'. Kai wonders, can she really not see that they're friends with Chloe only because she's pretty?
But then again, if you remember, bees can't see the color of red.
