Chapter 3 - My Line

Dante had scalped demons all day, and luckily, he made enough to pay for his tuition fees. Dante got an A+ for the project, being first in his class, with Ashra fourth, having a B+. The next day, Dante got in class, fresh and active, even though he slept around four in the morning. He got into class and sat down, facing the window like he always does. Sheera has tried to tell him to communicate with everybody, but she stopped trying. Everyone glared at Dante like he was some politician telling everyone he would fight for his people. Dante tried to ignore everyone, but he couldn't even sneeze, and everyone glared more like he killed someone. Dante looked at Ashra and stopped for a few seconds, then handed her lunch and instantly left. He thought to himself, 'I could've handed it in the bathroom, because I'm one of the only people who can change gender. I'm so stupid, damn it!' The class luckily didn't see, because if they did, it was over. The next lesson the class had was elemental magic, the easiest magic lesson in his opinion. Surprisingly, Ashra went to sit next to him. "Thanks for the lunch.", Ashra whispered with a smile. "Don't bring it up; I'm an idiot for not seeing the other way to give it to you.", Dante said, flustered, while Ashra was trying not to laugh. "You're funny, Dante.", Ashra said. Dante looked at her with an unknown expression and looked away, trying not to blush. A few minutes went by; Dante was trying not to sleep. His head was bouncing up and down, and just so you know it, he fell asleep. Ashra almost made Dante fall off his chair, and he instantly woke up, causing a commotion. The teacher glared at him. "Dante, perhaps you can make a perfect rose from Earth magic.", he said. Dante walked up to the front and made not one but a dozen roses, making a bouquet for the teacher, who thought Dante couldn't activate elemental magic. Ashra was fascinated by this, because she didn't know Dante was able to master elemental magic. Everyone looked at him, envious that he could master something at fifteen. After school, they were walking to the farmhouse like always, but Ashra was going back home after a few hours. "Hey, I didn't know you were able to master this amount of magic.", Ashra said. "Yeah, I had a friend back in the day who gave me a lot of magic books.", Dante said. Ashra was stunned by this. "What happened to him?" Ashra asked. "She left because she found out I was the devil's artificial child, and I was left alone. She was the motivation for me even joining this school in the first place.", Dante said awkwardly. "I don't understand why people think you're like him. You're nothing like him at all; you're you, and I respect that.", Ashra said with a warm, friendly smile. Dante looked down and smiled. "Thank you, Ashra.", Dante said. Suddenly, a white van stopped by, and three masked people ran towards them. Unfortunately, they intoxicated him to make him fall asleep and kidnapped Ashra. The problem is that Dante is immune to the drug magic. That's bad, because they unleashed the Dante they don't want to see. Dante had captured the number plate, and since his eyes are like trackers, he could track them down. He teleported to the top of the van and waited til they went to their hideout. Dante walked in, and he saw Ashra walking in with them, scared. Dante had camouflaged and saw her sitting down, tied up. Her eyes were covered up, too, so at least he could change his identity, but he saw she was asleep, meaning that wasn't necessary. He removed his camouflage, walked up to the one, grabbed him by the shirt, and threw him outside of the building. Dante took the vodka bottle the one criminal he threw had and drank the whole bottle. "Everyone, let's fucking dance."

At that moment, every criminal rushed toward him, and the fight ended badly for them. He didn't use magic; instead, he defeated sixty people with just his raw strength. Bored with magic, he decided to fight physically for the first time. As a kung-fu master, he had adapted to fighting humans. Although they all stabbed him, they quickly realized that their knives broke upon contact with his body. Dante sustained serious injuries to his arm and waist but learned to walk them off. He removed the top part of his uniform to reveal the ten years he had dedicated to training. He assumed a fighting stance and faced another sixty attackers. In the end, Dante dominated them all, suffering only minor injuries— a nosebleed and wounds to his waist, right cheek, two ribs, and gums. He healed quickly but wore bandages on his waist and cheek to show his growth as a fighter. After putting on his uniform, he carried Ashra, and they sat on a bench. Ashra, now awake with the blindfold and ropes removed, asked, "Dante, are you alright?" "Yeah, just a bruise," he replied, trying to stay calm. "Let me take you home," he offered, and Ashra nodded, guilt visible. "I'm sorry I put you through this," Ashra said. "There's one way to repay you," Dante replied. Confused, Ashra listened. "Never feel bad about me fighting for you; I chose to help," Dante said with a smile. They stopped at the castle, where Ashra's mother approached. "Ashra, where were you?" she asked, worried. "Some slave traders tried to kidnap me, but my friend helped," Ashra explained. "Thank you. Wait, are you related to Violet?" her mother inquired. "Yes, I'm her twin brother, Asfril," Dante added, trying to hide his identity. "Thank you so much, Asfril. Do you need money?" the Queen asked. "No, thank you. I just wanted to ensure she got home safely," Dante—posing as Asfril—replied. He then left, excited about going to an underground boxing match for a prize that could pay for the chicken coop.
