Acting suddenly stammering and flustered, Mark tried to adjust his posture while clenching his fingers, which had suddenly gone cold.
"I-I mean, the news about Seren's marriage used to be all over the business circles in the big city, ma'am," Mark stammered, trying to come up with the most logical explanation. "Since her husband's profile—as a member of the upper class—often appeared in business magazines, I, who used to be just an ordinary person in that city, knew a little about the end of their story—they're said to have separated."
