Raven was not supposed to be in the convoy. She had left the mansion early to scout a new route for a future operation two blocks over. She rode in the second SUV instead of the lead car. That small change put her in the exact right spot at the exact right time.
The convoy moved slow through neutral territory. Tall buildings stood on both sides of the street. The afternoon sun sat high and bright overhead. Vincent's lead car stayed about ten feet ahead. Raven sat in the back seat of her vehicle and kept her eyes on the rooftops the whole time.
