Chapter 67 - Chapter 63 Jayce and Viktor could only see a general outline

Jayce and Viktor could only see a general outline, but Duke, who possessed magical talent, removed his Edith sunglasses and involuntarily stepped forward two paces.

"It's so beautiful!"

The energy channel generated by the pedestals at both ends appeared helical, containing bidirectional circulating magical energy streams.

The bidirectional circulating magical energy streams caused the Hextech energy at both ends to continuously cycle.

"Duke, how is it?"

Viktor and Jayce anxiously watched Duke, hoping for his answer. Duke slowly turned his head, a satisfied smile on his face: "Gentlemen, rejoice! We succeeded!"

"We have accomplished this great feat! From now on, Runeterra will undergo unprecedented changes because of the Hexgate!"

"Yahoo!" Jayce jumped up on the spot, and Viktor was also ecstatic. They had worked tirelessly for five days straight, finally creating the prototype of the Hexgate.

"Alright, let's not get too excited yet. Let's conduct a practical test!"

Duke walked to a nearby workbench and picked up the airship model. This was the model they used for testing, scaled down proportionally from the airship based on the size of the Hextech pedestal.

"Begin!"

Jayce and Viktor watched nervously as Duke installed the airship model onto the pedestal's lift platform. As Duke stepped back, Jayce pressed the start button.

The lift platform slowly ascended, watched by three pairs of eyes.

As the lift platform reached its designated position, the airship model was guided to the center of three light rings, the smallest of which had an opening just large enough for the airship to pass through.

"Activate!"

Under the traction of the three rings, the airship model was enveloped in the center, and the flow of energy made the airship model hum continuously, like a constantly coiling spring.

When the coiling was complete, the foremost ring instantly expanded, and the airship model vanished from this end of the lift platform.

Looking at the base on the other end, the three rings deformed accordingly, releasing gentle resistance that perfectly intercepted the airship model and, following the pre-set operational procedure, guided it to the landing platform on the other end.

Duke eagerly took the airship, holding it in his hand and examining it repeatedly, while Jayce and Viktor walked over, joining Duke in checking the airship model's integrity.

"The hull is completely intact, with no signs of parts falling off, the sails are undamaged, and the test items placed inside the cabin are not broken or damaged at all!"

Duke handed the airship model to Jayce, then pulled up a chair and sat down, taking a deep breath.

"The Hexgate prototype is born!"

"We finally did it!"

"This is amazing!"

"It's absolutely fantastic!!"

Jayce and Viktor cheered for this moment, but Duke felt bored, crossing his legs and popping a malt candy into his mouth. Another problem solved, what should he do next?

"Duke, why do you not look happy?"

"No, I'm happy too, but compared to the result, I still prefer the process. The process of constantly overcoming challenges excites me!" Duke gazed distantly at the Hextech base. "As for now, I'm thinking about what the next research topic should be!"

"What we need to do next is, of course, invite the council, conduct a live experimental demonstration, raise funds, and then build the Hexgate!"

"Hmm, that's the process!"

"But before actual construction, there's one last experiment to be done, right?" Viktor carefully observed Duke's expression, deliberating before speaking: "Although we succeeded in the laboratory, this is only limited to spatial transmission within the lab. Our goal is to connect various places through the Hexgate."

"Before truly building the Hexgate, we should first conduct a long-distance teleportation experiment!"

"You're right!"

Duke crunched the malt candy, stood up from the chair, and stretched vigorously.

"Field experiments, that sounds great!"

"It would be best to choose a location with an extremely suitable geographical position for the field test. Even an experiment over a few thousand meters wouldn't yield accurate data; we should be bolder!"

"Bolder?"

Duke glanced at Jayce; this kid was really getting ahead of himself, now he actually wanted to conduct a long-distance field test between two locations!

"But where should we choose?"

Jayce and Viktor fell into confusion for a moment. Choosing a location too close would be useless, but too far would consume too much manpower and resources. It would be best to choose a more suitable location.

"Gentlemen!"

An elegant and calm voice came from outside the door. Mel, standing at the doorway, nodded slightly to Duke while softly saying, "May I take up some of your time?"

"Of course, you can!"

Jayce was the first to nod, and Duke had no objections, only thinking about the location for the field test in his mind. He also wanted to go out for a walk.

"Mr. Duke, your family is here to see you!"

Mel and her secretary behind her moved aside, revealing Dak'er with her silver hair cascading down her back.

"Dak'er, what are you doing here?"

Duke raised an eyebrow, looking a little surprised.
