Chapter 55 - Chapter 51: Jhin, Jhin, You Fall!

Blue Lavender Manor.

The gate opened. Amidst the roaring engine, resembling a Beast's roar, Duke brought Nerdley back into Blue Lavender Manor. Just as Duke got off the vehicle, a butler appeared before him.

"My Lord Duke, my lady sent me to welcome you and this gentleman!"

"Lead the way!"

Duke patted Pride, letting him go play on his own. He followed behind the butler, bringing Nerdley, who looked like a country bumpkin entering the city, into the main hall, through the banquet hall, and after walking through a long corridor, Duke and Nerdley were led by the butler to a door.

"The Madam is inside; please make yourself at home!"

The butler departed unhurriedly with a gentlemanly stride. Duke looked at Nerdley, who was still absorbed in the luxury of the Ferros Family, and patted his shoulder: "Snap out of it, we've arrived!"

"Oh, oh…" Nerdley hastily pulled his gaze away from the gold-framed painting and obediently followed behind Duke.

Duke knocked on the door and heard Camille's cold voice from within: "Come in!"

"I found him!" Duke pushed the door open and led Nerdley inside. Camille stood in front of the fireplace, leaning on a chair, with her back to Duke and Nerdley.

Duke glanced at the Fireplace in front of him, then took out the blueprints from his inventory, pulled out one, and carefully compared it to Camille in front of him.

In the sketch, Camille's face was filled with a warm smile, her eyes narrowed into two crescent moons, and the unique childish innocence and youthful vitality of a young girl leaped onto the paper.

Camille, who had her back to them, turned around, still leaning on the chair. Her silver hair, tied into a bun, was bundle at the back of her head, and her eyes, emanating a faint blue glow, made her incredibly cold. Coupled with the two black veins at the corners of her eyes, it gave her a blade-like, icy demeanor.

Her two flexible leg blades showed no hint of emotion, and the powerful aura she naturally exuded made Duke feel that the drawing in his hand and the person in front of him were completely different things.

"You did very well." Camille glanced at Nerdley and nodded slightly. She patted the back of the chair and went to sit on the sofa by the window, her two leg blades folding together, like a lazy, cross-legged noblewoman.

"As for you…"

Upon seeing Nerdley, Camille was momentarily stunned. The young man in front of her was so similar to the youth in her memories, whether it was his appearance, his temperament, or the lingering innocence in his eyes.

It was a resemblance that made her heart ache.

"You are not Kiham!" Camille instantly determined that Nerdley in front of her was not the person from her memories. Nerdley awkwardly began, "I am Uncle Kiham's nephew. Someone gave me travel expenses and a boat ticket, telling me to come here to find you."

"I thought of the keepsakes my uncle left behind, so I decided to take this opportunity to return them to you!"

"Did he get married?"

Camille took the blueprints from Duke's hand and flipped through them one by one. Duke stood behind Camille, silent. Opportunities to openly eavesdrop on gossip were rare, especially when it involved Camille, so he wanted to join in the fun.

"No, my uncle never married in his life. He finally died alone in his house!"

Nerdley lowered his head, his voice tinged with remembrance, but he quickly looked up again and said to Camille: "If Uncle knew I saw you again, and knew you were as beautiful as ever, he would surely be happy."

"Perhaps!"

Camille flipped to the sketch Kiham had left behind, her movements paused slightly, and then she lost all interest in continuing to look, placing the blueprints on the tea table.

Noticing the drawing placed on top, Nerdley spoke effusively: "This drawing was made by my uncle from memory and he always carried it with him. He said it was you at your most beautiful, and also your first meeting."

"Yes, the first time…"

Camille's eyes scanned the room in a daze, her mind filled with past memories, but she quickly crushed everything herself. She didn't need a past that would make her weak and vulnerable.
