The rolling inferno surged forward like a living tide.
Sabac's hellfire devoured everything in its path. The temperature was so extreme that even untouched ground melted into glowing magma as the flames swept across the courtyard.
Victor raised one hand calmly.
Cosmic energy burst from his palm like a raging torrent.
Sabac's face twisted with ferocity as the two devastating attacks collided. Flame and violet energy slammed together, annihilating each other in a violent eruption.
For a brief moment, Sabac's infernal fire held its ground.
Then the purple torrent pierced straight through it like a spear.
But the crimson flames still surged forward, engulfing Victor completely.
Boom!
Sabac was struck squarely in the chest.
He stumbled backward more than ten meters before finally regaining his balance. A dull ache spread across his chest as a patch of his dark-red skin turned discolored—similar to a human bruise.
He looked up coldly.
The sight shocked him.
His flames were capable of melting steel alloys into liquid metal.
Yet Victor stood there unharmed.
The fire gradually faded, revealing a massive hole blasted through the reinforced concrete wall behind him. Molten lava dripped slowly from the edges.
Victor didn't have a single burn mark.
"It's like swallowing gravel," he muttered calmly. "A little difficult to digest."
Since his template integration had passed sixty percent, Victor's body could absorb heat, electricity, and thermal energy almost as easily as breathing.
He had even begun absorbing certain magical and mystical energies.
But the process wasn't perfect.
A moment earlier, he had released extra energy to shield his body while attempting to absorb a trace of Sabac's flames.
It hadn't worked very smoothly.
"The flames of Beelzebub aren't ordinary fire," Victor thought.
While he seemed mildly dissatisfied with his current absorption ability, Sabac's reaction was completely different.
The demon's eyes widened in disbelief.
His expression turned ugly.
What was happening today?
His supposedly indestructible body had been cut open by a sword.
And now the flames that could vaporize steel had been swallowed like nothing.
Sabac hesitated briefly, his gaze flickering between Victor and Diana like a cautious serpent studying two predators.
"Is this man another demigod?" he wondered.
But Diana didn't hesitate at all.
Her fighting spirit was blazing.
She slammed her foot against the ground and launched forward like a cannonball.
The Divine Shield crashed toward Sabac.
He raised an arm instinctively to block.
The ground beneath his feet cracked under the force, and he was forced to step back.
Diana moved again immediately.
Her graceful figure darted through the air like a butterfly, yet every movement carried lethal intent.
She spun and swung the Sword of Vulcan.
Sabac's pupils shrank.
He barely managed to dodge.
The blade traced a dangerous arc past his throat.
Before he could regain his footing, Diana twisted her body and delivered a powerful kick to his chest.
Boom!
The explosive impact sent Sabac flying backward.
His massive body smashed through the roof of a nearby building.
Diana stared at the wreckage thoughtfully.
"Is he really a demon?"
She looked toward Victor with confusion.
"A demon from ancient myths should be much stronger, shouldn't it?"
Sabac possessed incredible strength and an enormous body.
Yet his movements were clumsy and slow.
He fought like someone with no real combat experience.
Victor almost warned her not to underestimate the enemy.
Then he remembered something.
Sabac possessed terrifying power.
But his fighting skill… was terrible.
It was like installing outdated software inside incredibly powerful hardware.
Eventually Sabac burst back into the courtyard, his face dark with humiliation.
He landed heavily on the cracked ground and glared at the two of them.
Just as he prepared to attack again—
A deep voice echoed across the battlefield.
"My dear sister."
A figure descended gracefully from the sky.
"I didn't expect our first meeting to happen under such circumstances."
A middle-aged man wearing a long windbreaker floated slowly downward.
His hands rested casually behind his back.
His posture radiated overwhelming arrogance, like a monarch who expected the entire world to kneel before him.
Ares.
From the moment he appeared, his presence filled the air with oppressive authority.
"Your Majesty, the God of War."
Sabac lowered his head immediately.
Before gaining his powers, he had signed a contract with Ares in exchange for the ancestral crown.
Even with the power of the six demon kings, Sabac had no confidence he could break free from the control of this ancient god.
Ares barely glanced at Victor.
To him, a mortal with strange abilities wasn't particularly important.
He turned slightly toward Sabac.
"I want to see how many attacks he can withstand."
Sabac understood the meaning immediately.
He smashed the ground with his foot and shot forward again, throwing a violent punch toward Victor.
The force compressed the air itself as it rushed forward.
Victor remained calm.
He answered with a punch of his own.
Their fists collided.
Sabac had stopped using flames.
Victor's ability to manipulate energy made flame attacks ineffective, so Sabac switched to brute force.
His punches carried enough power to sink a warship.
Yet none of them broke through Victor's defense.
"What kind of abilities does this guy have?" Sabac thought grimly.
"He has no weaknesses."
Perhaps Victor possessed something similar to Black Adam's powers—the combined abilities of multiple gods.
Sabac kept attacking.
He wanted to test whether Victor's weakness might lie in pure physical strength.
But the result was the same.
Victor matched him effortlessly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every collision of fists and kicks detonated the air like an exploding pressure chamber.
Victor's fighting style was precise and efficient.
Every strike targeted a vital point.
Sabac struggled to keep up.
His body absorbed blow after blow as he was driven steadily backward across the courtyard.
It looked like a seasoned martial artist beating an untrained fighter.
"What a waste," Victor said calmly.
"The power of six demon kings… wasted on someone like you."
He could clearly feel Sabac's raw strength.
In fact, Sabac's physical power might even exceed his own.
But his attacks were chaotic and unrefined.
He fought like a brute swinging wildly.
"Just like Shazam," Victor continued casually.
"One of the letters is basically meaningless."
In Shazam's powers, the letter S represented the wisdom of Solomon.
But that wisdom rarely seemed to influence anything.
Sabac had a similar claim.
The letter B represented the cunning intelligence of Belial.
Victor raised an eyebrow.
"If Belial's wisdom means solving problems by throwing random punches, that's pretty disappointing."
Sabac suddenly froze.
Victor's strike slammed into his throat.
He stumbled backward several steps, leaving deep craters in the ground.
"You know where my power comes from?" Sabac demanded in shock.
His hand clutched his neck.
"Are you the new champion chosen by those wizards after Black Adam?"
The thought seemed to click into place.
Victor possessed strange energy manipulation abilities and physical strength rivaling his own.
Maybe the mysterious wizards who once empowered Black Adam had chosen a new warrior.
"Those wizards hiding somewhere must have selected you," Sabac continued angrily.
"They gave you power different from Black Adam's."
His attacks became more aggressive.
"Which god gave you your strength?"
"Is it the strength of Hercules?"
"The invulnerable body of Achilles?"
Sabac threw punches wildly as he tried to provoke Victor into revealing the source of his power.
If Victor truly possessed Achilles' body, that might explain his overwhelming defense.
