"When the country knows the truth, they will call for Henry and Theodora's heads. Help me find that letter," Richard said.

His expression hardened. "Are you already so enticed by the title of queen that you would turn a blind eye to such callousness?"
Livia's eyes stung. "I will not help you kill yourself,"
"Let me worry about my life."
"You clearly cannot be trusted with it."

"No," he said. "You are protecting him."

The tears bright in her eyes now. "Do not pretend this is only about justice. Do not stand here and tell me your heart has no place in this."
