Chapter 122 - Chapter 122 Deliberation

Chapter 122 Discussion

"Fellow Daoist, with your talent, becoming a Great Luo Golden Immortal is by no means difficult."

"Remember, use the human race's fortune cautiously, and don't rely on it too much, lest you go astray and affect your future."

"Ultimately, for us cultivators, all power comes from within; external forces are ultimately undesirable."

On the eastern coast, the Water Dragon Lord, thinking of the fates of those dragon race's Great Luo Golden Immortals, earnestly warned Feng Zichen, fearing he might succumb to the temptation of power and suffer such a tragic end.

"Thank you for your warning, Dragon Lord. Zichen knows what's important and won't gamble with his own path!"

Straightening his clothes, Feng Zichen bowed to the Water Dragon Lord.

This secret was truly a clan secret; the Water Dragon Lord's willingness to share it with him clearly showed he didn't consider him an outsider, for which Feng Zichen was deeply grateful.

"It's good that you understand, so I won't say anything more."

Without saying anything more, the Water Dragon Lord waved his hand, and a vast expanse of water appeared, stretching for countless miles, seemingly reaching the depths of the East Sea.

He beckoned to Ao Xue and Xuan Qi, and the two flew onto the water as if they were not under his control. Then, the Water Dragon Lord also took a step and stepped onto the water:

"Fellow Daoist, we have been delayed for so long; we should return now. When you visit the Dragon Clan, I will prepare a banquet in the palace to await your arrival."

As he spoke, the water beneath the Water Dragon Lord's feet suddenly contracted forward, taking them with him, and in the blink of an eye, they disappeared from Feng Zichen's sight, leaving only three illusory shadows.

"Zichen, five thousand years from now, is my coming-of-age ceremony. Remember to come to the East Sea Dragon Palace to find me!" Just as Feng Zichen was about to leave, Ao Xue's voice drifted over from afar.

"Very well, five thousand years from now, I will definitely go to the Dragon Palace of the East Sea!" With that, Feng Zichen turned and left, heading towards the ancestral temple of the human race, regardless of whether Ao Xue could hear him.

Now that his personal matters were settled, it was time to get down to business. As the saying goes, a new broom sweeps clean, and to establish his authority, he was about to start with his first act.

Inside the ancestral temple's council hall, Feng Zichen sat in the main seat, addressing the assembled crowd with a calm tone:

"Elders and city lords, since the chaos caused by the ferocious beasts, I have not interfered in the affairs of the human race. Now, having suddenly ascended to the throne, I inevitably lack some understanding of the current situation of the human race."

"Therefore, I hope that you, elders, and city lords can lend me a hand."

"Give me a list of the current number of immortals in each tribe and major city, so that I can better control the situation of the human race and set a direction for future development."

  "Yes, Chief!" "

We will immediately send a telepathic message to our clansmen to begin handling this matter and strive to deliver the results as soon as possible."

As they spoke, immortal light emanated from their hands, transforming into various forms—beasts, weapons, birds—carrying this command as they flew outwards.

  Nodding, Feng Zichen continued,

"Furthermore, after so many years of reproduction, the population along the East Sea coast has grown significantly. I plan to relocate another group of our people."

"However, there are numerous tribes along the East Sea coast, making it difficult to decide which to relocate."

"Especially after the ferocious beast chaos, our people are terrified of the outside world and unwilling to leave the East Sea coast."

"Forcing them to relocate will inevitably cause resentment and internal turmoil."

"In this regard, do any of you elders have a way to relocate a portion of our people without harming the harmony of the human race?"

Feng Zichen had originally intended to use the ferocious beast chaos to temper his people and reignite their fighting spirit.

But who knew that the ferocious beast chaos would be so devastating? Of the Celestial Immortals who went out to train, less than 20% of his people survived.

Now, those who were once filled with longing for the outside world are now filled with fear, although some have indeed been inspired to strive for advancement.

However, many more tribesmen were filled with fear and planned to remain on the shores of the East Sea, continuing their carefree lives.

Feng Zichen's plan to train his tribesmen had completely failed.

If it were just one or two tribes, it wouldn't be so bad; Feng Zichen could have easily driven them out.

But more than half of the tribesmen were unwilling to leave, and if he were to forcibly expel them, he feared he would lose his position as chieftain.

  "This..."

Concerning the future of the human race, the people discussed the matter seriously, but after much deliberation, they couldn't come up with any useful solutions.

"Chieftain, why not relocate some tribesmen to the major cities? With us watching over them, their fear should be alleviated considerably," Yi Ang suggested after a while, seeing that the discussion had stalled.

Instantly, everyone's attention focused on Yi Ang.

The elders looked puzzled, lost in thought; the city lords appeared displeased, seemingly quite unhappy with Yi Ang's suggestion.

The disgraceful behavior of the ancestral land's humans during the beast rampage was still fresh in their minds; how could they allow a bunch of useless fools to enter the city and corrupt their own customs?

Yi Ang's suggestion naturally provoked their strong dissatisfaction.

The city lords opened their mouths, wanting to say something, but unable to find a good reason to speak, they reluctantly shut their mouths, glaring angrily at Yi Ang.

"This is inappropriate. The city lords are already doing a great job guarding the outside; we really cannot add to their burden." Even Feng Zichen disagreed.

The outside tribesmen were seasoned veterans, each one brave and skilled in battle, currently the only force the human race could muster. Was relocating the ancestral land's humans there intended to hinder them?

"Thank you for your understanding, Clan Chief!" The city lords were overjoyed and quickly shouted in unison.

"Elders, these tribes in the ancestral lands have always been managed by you. So, do you have anything to say about this migration?" Seeing the elders remain silent, Feng Zichen spoke in a deep voice.

As he spoke, a powerful aura rose from Feng Zichen's body, instantly making the air in the council hall incredibly heavy, and everyone involuntarily lowered their heads.

Just then, a strange light flashed in Feng Zichen's eyes, and in an instant that no one could detect, it entered the body of Gu Yue.

A moment of disorientation caused Gu Yue to involuntarily stand up and loudly proclaim,

"As elders of the human race, we should set an example. Since our people are unwilling to leave our ancestral land, the tribes that will migrate this time will be chosen from among our descendants, to serve as role models for our people."

Without giving Gu Yue a chance to change his mind, Feng Zichen quickly settled the matter:

"Excellent! This is a brilliant idea. Elder Gu Yue truly deserves to be a role model for the human race. This matter will be as you say!"

"Furthermore, since this was proposed by the elder, it will be entrusted to the elder to handle!"

"I have complete confidence in the elder's abilities."
