Chapter 10 - I discover my abilities

Albert rose, brushing the dust off his jacket, while Lloyd's eyes remained fixed on the wreckage they had created, amidst the fog of chaos they had both unleashed.

Everyone else fled, leaving the two of them behind. Lloyd turned and began landing direct punches on Albert's body, but Albert dodged and blocked with utter skill. Then, Albert flipped over behind Lloyd, and with a single blow to his neck, Lloyd froze, his pupils constricting.

Lloyd fell, and Albert appeared behind him, staring at him like a lifeless corpse lying on the ground. Lloyd opened his eyes in a room that seemed unfamiliar to him: "What's going on? Where am I?" Albert entered the room, hung his coat on one of the chairs, and sat down, rubbing his hands together. "Good morning, fighter," he said. Lloyd retorted angrily, "What is this place? Where the hell am I?" Albert replied calmly, his voice numbing Lloyd's agitation, "Calm down, fighter. I won't bother you anymore." He stood up and went to the window overlooking the city. "You've impressed me with your great strength, but there's one mistake that could lead to your demise and easy defeat at the hands of your enemies." Lloyd retorted impulsively, his anger flaring, "What's it to you what my strength is? And what mistake are you talking about?" Albert turned to Lloyd with a slight smile. "Hmm, good question. The mistake is your difficulty in controlling it. It means you're attacking without developing a strategy that will allow you to break through the defenses of the enemies you might face in the future." Lloyd replied With surprise, as if he'd been joking, Lloyd asked, "How come I don't understand?"

"When you possess immense power, it can be difficult to control precisely, and that's what fighters these days face." "What you're saying is, are there people as strong as me?" Albert nodded, saying, "And there are those stronger than you, but you're different from them. You fight without any sense of pain; you fight fiercely to win at any cost, and you don't look back with every step forward. That's what makes your initial style unique. You need some training to master your abilities and discover other fighting styles, so I've decided to give you my combat experience on this journey." Lloyd replied, astonished, "And what's in it for you?" Albert smiled, "I'll have to take you on my next mission."

First Day of Training

Lloyd was practicing keeping his strength under control. With each attempt at combat, he failed, creating chaos. Weeks passed, and Lloyd began to improve little by little under Albert's guidance.

Lloyd looked at himself with pride, realizing he had become stronger than before. Albert applauded him: "Great work, Lloyd! You're taking your first steps towards becoming a noble fighter. I'm proud of you... but there are still obstacles ahead." Lloyd replied, clenching his fist enthusiastically: "I'm up for it!"

The next day, Albert decided to train Lloyd in one of the most fundamental and difficult fighting skills: "Today's training relies on strong intuition. I know you already possess the skill, but I can develop it further. In this training, the enemy has different levels, and you can face the most skilled or even more. You could say you can anticipate attacks even if I close your eyes. But be careful, some enemies can outmaneuver you and take you down. I will blindfold you, and we will test the strength of your intuition." The training began. Two experienced fighters stepped forward while Albert watched from above the training ground. The first one launched himself into the air, landing on Lloyd, his fist poised for a meteorite attack. Lloyd anticipated this, raising his head, his eyes blindfolded, preparing to block the assault. The fighter's fist collided with Lloyd's wrist, which was covering his face. Lloyd had passed the first test. Albert declared victory to Lloyd: "Excellent! You have incredible intuition. I didn't expect you to finish that so easily." Lloyd removed his blindfold and looked up at Albert with a smile: "I expected it to be difficult." Albert countered: "No, no, that was just a warm-up... Lloyd, the real test begins now..."
