Pietro paused for a moment, confused by the sudden question about his hair. He scratched his head absentmindedly and replied, "No… I haven't really paid attention to that."
Even though Pietro said it casually, Ethan Blake still felt uneasy. Hair loss wasn't something that appeared overnight. Problems like that usually developed slowly over time.
It seemed he would need to keep a close eye on Pietro's hairline in the future.
Ethan cleared his throat and smoothly shifted the conversation back on track. "What's your girlfriend's name? Do you have a photo? As long as she's somewhere on Earth, I can find her."
When it came to locating people, Ethan was extremely confident. With Captain Jack's Compass in his possession, finding someone was usually trivial.
Pietro quickly answered, "Her name is Crystal. I don't have a picture, and I don't know where she lives or where she's from. She never told me."
Ethan stared at him in disbelief.
"So all you know is her name?" he asked slowly. "Crystal? That could easily be a fake name. Pietro, I think you might have been played."
At that moment, Wanda walked over and sat down beside Ethan. She looked at her brother with obvious contempt.
"Pietro, are you an idiot?" she said bluntly. "You don't know anything about her except her name, and you still think this relationship is real? I'm eighty percent sure you got tricked. If you want a girlfriend, I can introduce you to someone instead. Gwen Stacy from my class is really pretty."
"Gwen Stacy is in your class?" Ethan asked with surprise.
If Gwen Stacy and Wanda were classmates, then that meant Peter Parker must also be studying at the same school.
"Chu He, you know her?" Wanda asked curiously.
"Her father, George Stacy, is the chief of the New York Police Department," Ethan explained. "We run into each other often during work. He talks about his daughter sometimes. By the way, is there a boy named Peter Parker in your class?"
Wanda nodded. "Yes, there's someone named Peter Parker. He's pretty dull. Other than having good grades, he's almost invisible."
"Is there also a fat guy named Ned?" Ethan asked again.
Wanda looked slightly surprised. "How do you know so many of my classmates? You've never even been to a parent-teacher meeting."
Before Ethan could respond, Pietro suddenly interrupted with obvious frustration. "Hey! We were talking about my problem. Why are you two chatting about school?"
"Didn't you say you got dumped?" Wanda replied casually. "What's there to discuss? You only gave Ethan a name. How is he supposed to find someone with just that?"
"I didn't get dumped!" Pietro protested loudly. "The day before Crystal disappeared, we made plans to watch a movie together. The next day she never showed up. Something must have happened to her. I have to find her."
Wanda muttered under her breath, "I'm pretty sure you got used."
"I said that's not what happened!" Pietro shot back.
Seeing the siblings about to start another argument, Ethan quickly stepped in. "Alright, stop. Whether Pietro was used or not, we won't know until we find this girl named Crystal."
Pietro's eyes immediately lit up. "You can really find her?"
"As long as she's on Earth," Ethan replied confidently.
With that, he pulled Captain Jack's Compass out of his pocket and tossed it toward Pietro. "Just follow the direction the pointer shows. It'll lead you to her. Remember to return it when you're done."
Both Wanda and Pietro already knew Ethan possessed various strange abilities and mysterious items, so neither of them was particularly surprised by the compass.
Pietro eagerly opened it.
A few seconds later, his expression turned confused. He looked up at Ethan and asked suspiciously, "Chu He… is your compass broken? Why does the needle keep spinning?"
"What?" Ethan frowned and walked over.
Sure enough, the pointer inside the compass was spinning in circles without stopping.
"You do want to find that girl named Crystal, right?" Ethan asked skeptically.
"Of course I do!" Pietro said quickly.
Ethan took the compass and gave himself a mental suggestion: find Pietro's girlfriend, Crystal.
The pointer continued spinning.
Could the compass actually be broken?
To test it, Ethan tried another target. He focused on the thought of finding Wilson. The moment the idea formed in his mind, the compass needle stopped instantly and pointed toward a fixed direction.
"See? It stopped," Wanda said as she leaned closer to look.
"Chu He, is that direction where Crystal is?" Pietro asked anxiously.
Ethan slowly shook his head, lost in thought. If Crystal were on Earth, there was no reason the compass wouldn't work.
Unless she wasn't on Earth at all.
The possibility made Ethan suddenly recall something from memory.
Crystal…
In Marvel comics, Pietro's wife was named Crystal. She belonged to the royal family of the Inhumans.
And the Inhumans didn't live on Earth.
They lived on the far side of the Moon.
Before Ethan had transmigrated, Marvel Studios had already approved plans for an Inhumans film. That meant the Inhumans likely existed somewhere within this universe as well.
Thinking of this, Ethan held the compass upright again and made another mental suggestion.
The needle immediately pointed downward.
Since it was daytime, the Moon's position relative to them would indeed be beneath the horizon.
Ethan turned to Pietro and asked, "Does this girl named Crystal have a big dog?"
"Yes!" Pietro replied instantly. "His name is Lockjaw. He's really smart. How did you know that?"
"I think I know where Crystal is," Ethan said calmly.
"Where?" Pietro asked urgently.
"The Moon."
The answer left Pietro completely stunned.
"Wow, Pietro," Wanda said excitedly. "Your girlfriend is an alien? Why didn't you tell me earlier? The only aliens I've seen before were the Chitauri."
Pietro looked equally shocked. "Crystal… is an alien?"
Neither Wanda nor Pietro doubted Ethan's words.
"It's not entirely accurate to call them aliens," Ethan explained. "They originally lived on Earth, but due to certain circumstances they migrated to the far side of the Moon. At the same time, they're not exactly human either. They call themselves the Inhumans."
"The Inhumans can gain superpowers through a special awakening process. As for Crystal, I know a little about her. She's part of the Inhuman royal family, and her ability allows her to control the four elements—earth, air, fire, and water."
Ethan paused briefly before continuing. "That dog you mentioned, Lockjaw, is also an Inhuman. His transformation turned him into a giant dog, which is why he seems unusually intelligent. His ability is teleportation."
After explaining everything, Ethan looked directly at Pietro.
"Now that you know all this, do you still want to find her?"
Pietro hesitated for a moment.
But soon, his eyes became firm again.
"If I can," he said seriously, "I'm still going to find her."
