"Hey! What's going on over there!" One traveler asked his companion as he saw some people gathering up on the street not far away from there.
His companion turned to look at where his friend was pointing and scratched his head in confusion "Maybe someone got hurt or caught? I can't tell."
"Shouldn't we do something?"
"Don't worry about it. Everyone already might have noticed it. So they might have already called a doctor or the authorities. Come on, let's go find a inn to stay for the night." The companion said, walking away with his friend. For those two visitors, it seems like some small crime just occurred, so they'll rather stay out of it for their sake.
But for the local, they knew it was much worse.
"Those guys gathering over there, are they fairy tail mages?"
"Hold on! Don't tell me there's going to be a fight between them again?"
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I JUST GOT MY HOUSE FIXED FROM THEIR LAST FIGHT!"
"Honey! Get the kids ready while I pack up. We're moving over to your mom's house, again."
Among the locals, there was one undisputed rule: When fairy tail is about to fight, stay as far away as possible and make sure you have insurance.
Unfortunately, there really was going to be a fight.
"Alright guys! Natsu vs the new girl Katherine! Start placing your bets!" Fairy tail undisputed drinking champion, Cana Alberona, sat crosslegged in front of the guild. Right in front of her were two bowls. Each having a name of one of the fighterts.
Now, normally, almost everyone will place their bets on Natsu, while the remaining few will bet on the newcomer out of pity.
But now?
The two bowls are almost even.
In fact, some even swore the girl bowl had more money, even if those who bet were about just a dozen.
"Wait! Why is the new girl getting more bets?"
"Are they crazy? If it was a regular mage then ok. But it's Natsu we're talking about!"
"I don't blame them. Even I feel pity for the girl. But I'm not stupid enough to bet everything on a losing game."
The other party didn't say anything because they knew even if they did, it won't change anything. They were there when Mirajane and her siblings came and saw how she held her own against Ezra and Laxus on her rookie days. The destructions she created from her simple attacks was more than enough to make her name among the big boys. A demon who they vowed to never pissed off.
So after being confirmed that Kate is the same as Mirajane, they knew that Natsu had already lost the moment he challenged her. They could only pray for his soul to be spared.
As for Natsu supporters, let them learn it the hard way.
Natsu, of course, was ignorant of the situation.
"Hello! I'm Natsu Dragneel. And I use fire dragon slayer magic. What about you?"
"Katherine Bishop. Take over magic."
"Take over magic?" Natsu asked surprised. He knew how difficult using take over magic is let alone mastering, and the Strauss siblings are living proof of how powerful their users are.
Natsu grinned, as he believe this fight might be worth it after all.
"Both sides, prepare!" Makarov, being the referee, called out from a distance.
In response, Kate didn't wasted anytime "Full take over: Acier Silva!" A white light completely covered her. When the light dimmed, the person standing in Kate place was someone else.
A young woman between her late twenties and early thirties. Silver hair tied to a ponytail with clump of it on her forehead. And round lavender eyes framed by long eyelashes. She was wearing a black skintight shirt and white skirt and black long socks that reach to her thighs. And finally, she wears a silver mantle with a white fur trimmed collar and a scalloped hairline, giving the appearance of feathers with a silver badge of an eagle pinned on the top left of her mantle. A silver grimior with a three clover symbol gently flow besides her like an extension of herself.
And during the entire transformation, she was getting the entire memory of Acier. From her early times with the literal hotheaded Mereoleona Vermilion, to her times as a squad captain till her last moment with her children. With everything she did, it's no wonder she was considered a great soldier, sister, wife, and most importantly, mother .
As soon as the transformation was completed, her energy skyrocketed and her aura became that of a powerful queen.
As soon as they saw the new her, the ordinary mages started acting like gentlemen.
"What a beauty!"
"She's a queen!"
"Let me be your knight in shining armor!"
"Natsu! You better go easy on her!"
But for the others, that's the veterans, they were concerned about something else.
"Is it just me, or did her magic powers just surpassed Natsu?" A black haired boy, wearing nothing but boxers and having a blue fairy tail mark on left chest, asked.
"It's not just you Gray. From what I can tell, her magic just reached S-rank level." Cana replied, before glancing at the striped boy "And Gray, your clothes."
"GAH! NOT AGAIN!"
"Is it wrong that I don't feel bad for Natsu? Bisca?" A young man with black hair covering his right eye, wearing a long, brown poncho, alongside a shirt and pants of the same color and revolver holster at least each side, asked the woman beside him.
The woman in question, Bisca, was a mature woman with long, green hair and was wearing a short, strapless, one piece dress and a cowboy hat, responded "Don't worry about him, Alzack. He's strong enough to stay alive. I hope."
Meanwhile on the battleground, Natsu dragon instinct told him that his opponent is terrifying powerful. But knowing Natsu nature, it's not surprising that the more powerful his opponent is, the more excited he is.
And that opponent is powerful, which makes him go totally wild.
'Booom!''
Natsu suddenly launched like a rocket, breaking the sound barrier.
[Fire dragon iron fist!] He closed the distance between them in a blink, flaming fist corked and ready to reading release it full power.
But Kate already anticipated it.
[Steel Creation Magic: Steel Knight Gauntlet ] the grimior opened to a new page and began to to inscribe the spell itself on the blank page. At the same time, her hands were completely covered by a pair of plain gauntlet made of pure steel.
When done, Kate just raised her gauntlet hand to intercept Natsu flaming fist.
'BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!' The explosion was so powerful, it flames alone covered the entire district.
"WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" The mages screamed when they saw the incoming flames. If not for Makarov setting up defense magic in advance, they and the surrounding civilians will have been burn out by now.
"YOU BRAT! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO TONE DOWN WHEN USING YOUR MAGIC?! ARE YOU TRYING TO DESTROY THIS TOWN AS WELL?! HUH?"
His scolding turned to shock as he saw the aftermath. The others also sheared the master surprise upon witnessing the unbelievable display.
There, in the battleground, Kate was still standing there unbothered, despite some parts of her clothes being on flames. On her burning gauntlet, held the once flaming fist of Natsu.
"What the? Are you guys seeing this?"
"She just held Natsu punch like it was nothing. And the guy was serious."
"So strong. Could she be an S-rank mage"
"Argh! I just bet all my savings on Natsu! Now it looks like I'm gonna be broke!"
Natsu expression was no different from them. Though he didn't go all out, he didn't held back either. Because he knew everybody strength as he fought with everyone.
He did expected her to survive the attack.
He, however, didn't expect her to guard it without flinching.
And based on his experience, the only ones capable of that were S-rank mages.
Realizing that, Natsu went back some few leaps to gain distance between them. But Kate just stood there, analyzing the now red hot gauntlet before turning to look at him.
"Natsu. Don't tell me that's the best you got. I'll be really disappointed if you can't even leave a scratch on me." Normally, she just wanted to beat him up senselessly for making fun of her. But something told her to make him launch all on her first, then end the fight with one big counter. That'll take of it physically and mentally.
And just like she predicted, Natsu took the bait. "Don't worry, warm up is over." Flames started erupting from him as power level was going up. "Get ready! Cause the real fight is just about to start! Hope you can keep up?"
Kate, for the first time, forgot about everything else as she felt extremely excited about this fight that you can see it on her face. "Well then, what are we waiting for?" She replicated the same stance she has seen Goku performing and made a 'come on' gesture with her fingers "Let's dance."
