Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Cameron Diaz's Call

Landon himself quickly got into work mode.

His energy was still abundant, his eyes sharp, but occasionally when his gaze met Tracy's or Eliza's, a deep glimmer, understood only by them, would flash.

Most of today's filming time still focused on Landon, and the highlight was Landon's solo dance scene.

For the concept of "Yeah!", Landon's solo dance scene would be the soul of the entire MTV, expressing the song's inner energy through body language.

The background was still that neon-lit bar, as if its warmth had not yet faded.

The director didn't clear the set; instead, he let the extras playing customers remain around, creating an atmosphere of "gaze amidst revelry."

The murmur of the crowd, the clinking of glasses, and the music's prelude intertwined.

A spotlight, with a "snap," hit an empty space in the center of the dance floor, instantly isolating it from the surrounding hustle and bustle.

Landon stood alone in the center of the light circle.

He was wearing a slim-fit white hoodie, a striped shirt, and a white casual jacket casually open. He wore spacious denim trousers.

Around his neck was a long, thick, roughly designed silver necklace, and on his head, he wore a dark golf cap tilted to the side.

For this solo dance, the lighting technician adjusted the setup.

Several laser lights would project rapidly changing geometric beams in the dim bar space, creating a psychedelic atmosphere that intertwined futuristic elements with street hip-hop.

"Alright, clear the set! Unrelated personnel, move behind the monitors!" the director shouted, clapping his hands.

"Landon, remember our designed blocking and those core action nodes. But most importantly, it's about feeling, letting yourself dance with the music's rhythm. Understand?"

Landon nodded. This was already the fourth take. The director wanted him to dance the entire song, and he would eventually edit it to create the complete MTV.

He slightly closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and temporarily blocked out all the noise on the set.

As the voices from various departments successively sounded.

"Recording ready!"

"Camera A, Camera B, Steadicam ready!"

"Laser lights, cut in on the beat!"

"Yeah! Solo Dance Take, First!"

Finally, "Action!" the director's voice came through the megaphone.

Deafening music instantly filled the entire space.

The first beam of cool white laser light projected down, shifting and hitting Landon.

He moved.

Landon began by pivoting on his right heel, sliding his entire body half a step to the left, while his left knee naturally bent slightly, and his hips followed with a sexy curve.

This simple movement set the tone for the rest of the dance—relaxed, confident, and full of inner rhythm.

The hem of his white jacket floated backward with the movement, then gently fell back as his center of gravity returned.

The music entered a dense drum beat loop.

Landon's dance layers suddenly became rich.

He stood in place, but his upper body and arms began complex rhythms.

His right hand quickly drew short, powerful lines in front of him with the rhythm, sometimes as if pushing away an invisible obstacle, sometimes as if tapping an invisible metronome;

His left hand, in contrast, hung loosely at his side or rested lightly on his waist, creating a dynamic contrast.

His shoulders rose and fell, shaking with the rhythm, revealing the faint outlines of muscles beneath his white T-shirt.

The large silver chain on his neck wildly bounced, reflecting the sweeping laser lights, turning into a string of jumping points of light.

His gaze beneath the brim of his cap sometimes followed his moving hand, sometimes sharply pierced the camera, a slight curve on his lips, completely immersed in the music, displaying an expression of absolute control.

The iconic electronic sound effect before the chorus rang out.

Landon's movements began to expand.

He moved with a unique, gliding gait, weaving through the light net formed by the laser beams.

His trajectory of movement was casual; every stop and turn landed precisely on the music's accents, clean and crisp, without any sloppiness.

During a rapid lateral shift, Landon suddenly pivoted 180 degrees on his left foot, his white jacket fanning out like wings. As he rotated to face the main camera, his movement abruptly stopped, his right index and middle fingers together, he coolly waved them outwards from his cap's brim, simultaneously tilting his chin slightly and giving a captivating look.

This move perfectly showcased street-style coolness, and several suppressed "Woahs" could be heard from the set.

The song entered its most intense climax.

Red, blue, and green laser beams cut through the darkness.

Landon's dance also entered its full explosive phase.

He weaved through the laser array, gliding, turning, pausing, as if dancing with the light.

Sweat had already soaked his white cotton T-shirt, the fabric clinging to his chest and abs, outlining a youthful and vibrant physique with every breath and movement, creating a strong visual impact under the psychedelic laser light.

He was completely immersed in the state the music bestowed upon him, as if every cell resonated with the beat.

Finally, after a series of dazzling rapid movements, the music abruptly stopped on a heavy beat.

Landon's movement also instantly froze—his arms powerfully spread to his sides, his head held high, his chest slightly rising and falling from intense breathing, his gaze like electricity shooting towards the camera.

"Cut!" the director's voice rang out at the opportune moment.

The set fell into a brief silence. Approximately two minutes later, "Passed!" the director's voice sounded again.

Immediately after, a burst of enthusiastic applause and whistles erupted, started by someone unknown.

Even the experienced Lil Jon couldn't help but whistle, saying to Tracy beside him:

"Damn it! This kid is a born star! He knows how to present himself in front of the camera!"

Tracy stood with her arms crossed, a satisfied smile on her face, her eyes proudly watching the young man in the spotlight slowly relaxing and wiping away sweat.

Most of Landon's scenes were completed, with only the last one remaining: the ambiguous scene between Landon and Eliza in the nightclub's narrow corridor.

The two came to the narrow corridor as per the director's request. Landon stood with his back against the light gray wall, shoulders relaxed, his gaze first falling on Eliza's chest, his left hand naturally hanging by his side, his right hand resting on the actress's waist, maintaining a state of being attracted throughout.

Eliza stood less than 10 centimeters in front of Landon, her right foot slightly forward, chest out, while her voluptuous hips were pushed back. She tilted her head upwards and simultaneously raised her hand.

After the two had taken their positions.

"Action!" sounded.

Eliza's right hand took off Landon's hat and threw it backward.

Landon, who had one hand on her waist, now had both hands on her waist.

Eliza's left hand rested on top of Landon's head, her body leaning forward, her chest lightly touching Landon's, her head tilted back as she met Landon's gaze, a teasing smile on her lips.

"Cut!" After waiting for half a minute, "Passed!" the director's voice sounded again!

Applause once again erupted on set. Although filming would continue tomorrow, all of Landon's scenes were now complete.

Landon bid farewell to everyone on the crew and was about to return to the hotel with them when a call came in, displaying: Cameron Diaz.
