Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Ambiguity During Filming

The crew spent most of the morning getting acclimated, so not many scenes were filmed.

Soon it was time for the lunch break; lunch consisted of sandwiches and coffee.

Eliza sat down next to Landon very naturally.

Tracy was a little annoyed behind them, but she didn't show it. In public, Tracy didn't want people to know about her intimate relationship with Landon.

"Landon, I heard you wrote the lyrics and music for this song. Wow, that's so cool!" Eliza said with the delicate charm typical of a young girl. "How did you get the inspiration?"

Landon grumbled to himself, 'I don't know either!' However, he realized he might face such questions again and needed a plausible story, so he answered directly:

"I was at a party once, and I saw laser lights shining above the dance floor. Suddenly, I felt like one of the beams was shining right on me, and my inspiration just burst forth. I stood quietly on the noisy dance floor until the complete melody echoed in my mind."

Landon paused and looked at Eliza, who had her hands resting on the table and was gazing at him infatuatedly with her charming eyes, then continued,

"I was afraid I'd forget it, so I looked everywhere for paper and a pen. At a party, it's not that easy to find a pen, so later I used a girl's lipstick to write it down... Mmph!"

As Landon was speaking and gesturing, before he could finish, his lips were sealed by a pair of red ones.

Landon's hands were still outstretched; he never expected Eliza to kiss him right in front of everyone like this.

His head was still a bit dazed, but his mouth opened in response, and a nimble tongue slid inside.

The fresh scent of a young girl wafted over. Landon didn't even consider Tracy's reaction behind him until the teasing laughter of Lil Jon and the others nearby brought them both back to their senses.

As their lips parted, a crystal-clear thread broke.

However, Eliza didn't feel embarrassed at all.

In this kind of dimly lit environment, such things were all too common. If it weren't break time, no one would have even glanced their way.

Landon looked at Tracy feeling a bit guilty, and sure enough, he received a "death stare" from her.

Zoe rolled her eyes. Her boss, who was constantly radiating hormones everywhere, was too much of a handful. Was he not worried about Tracy getting jealous?

After the morning's warm-up period, the afternoon's filming went much more smoothly. Perhaps it was the ambiguity during the lunch break, but the scenes between Landon and Eliza Dushku went exceptionally well.

"Action!" The director's voice came through the loudspeaker.

The music opened with synthesizer melodies and drum beats.

The camera first swept across the bustling bar crowd, finally settling on Eliza Dushku, who was leaning alone against the bar, holding a glass and swaying slightly to the rhythm.

Eliza was wearing a sparkling camisole dress, her healthy skin glowing under the rotating lights, her eyes searching the dance floor.

Landon had just finished a rap and was walking over from the edge of the stage.

He seemed to sense something; his gaze cut through the swaying figures and locked onto Eliza in the center of the dance floor.

Landon's eyes held undisguised interest, and a faint smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, as if to say, "Finally found you."

Eliza met his gaze, lifted her chin slightly, and returned a playful look.

This scene was relatively relaxed, and the two quickly captured the air-gazing eye contact the director wanted for when the male and female protagonists first meet.

Next was the interaction between the two on the dance floor.

Landon pushed through the crowd, walking toward Eliza, who was swaying gently to the music.

Landon didn't press up against her directly; he maintained a distance and began to dance with Eliza to the rhythm.

Their dance seemed to be a kind of improvised, interactive physical dialogue.

Landon's movements were full of rhythm, following Eliza's pulse.

At the same time, Landon moved flexibly around Eliza, occasionally leaning close to her ear as if whispering, then pulling back half a step, using his eyes and gestures to draw her attention.

Eliza's dance style was more free and unrestrained. As she spun, her skirt flew, and occasionally she would deliberately let her shoulder or arm lightly graze Landon's body before immediately pulling away, perfectly capturing that ambiguous atmosphere of "teasing and responding."

However, this scene was NG'd several times, mainly because Landon's dance steps weren't natural enough, and there were inevitable physical reactions during this dance segment, for which he was teased by Eliza while she held him.

Once Landon calmed down, they finally perfectly met the director's requirements.

After filming a group dance and Landon's solo singing, the scene switched to a corner of the bar.

Landon and Eliza leaned against the bar side-by-side, holding drinks in their hands.

There were several close-up shots with strong sexual implications.

The first scene was the passing of the glass and an indirect kiss.

"Action!" The director's voice rang out again through the loudspeaker.

Landon looked at Eliza and brought his glass to her lips. Eliza took a small sip from Landon's hand, her eyes fixed on him the whole time. Landon took the glass back, turned it, and nonchalantly took a sip from the exact same spot.

It was a very simple action, but it was full of ambiguity and intimacy.

The second scene was physical contact and guidance.

Landon's hand rested gently on Eliza's waist, full of possessiveness.

When the rhythm changed, he followed the beat, applying gentle pressure to her waist to guide Eliza through a smooth turn, then immediately let go; everything was smooth and fluid.

Eliza followed his lead, her physical reaction very natural, as if she were already familiar with this tacit understanding.

The two had rehearsed this dance many times until the director was satisfied, and they completed the filming in one go.

The third scene was their passionate dance during the climax of the song.

As the song entered its climax, the drum beats and rhythm became increasingly intense.

Landon and Eliza's interaction escalated accordingly.

They returned to the center of the dance floor, becoming the focus of everyone's attention as the extras playing the audience gathered around.

The two danced passionately face-to-face, with larger movements and more physical contact, but still kept it within the bounds of "edging."

Eliza stood behind Landon, wrapping her arms around his neck, even lifting one leg and placing it on Landon's waist.

Landon's hand brushed over Eliza's arm and back, and finally, following the heavy beat of the music, pressed against the outside of her thigh before immediately lifting away—a clean, crisp movement full of rhythm and control.

The two swayed and nodded together to the shouts of "Yeah!", "Yeah!".

A dangerous expression beamed on Eliza's face, as if she were intoxicated by the music and the temptation.

The camera lens captured their intertwined gazes and their synchronized rhythm.

The director kept shouting "Cut" to adjust the angles, lighting, and movement details.

Every time they stopped, Landon and Eliza would immediately separate and keep their distance, but their ambiguous gazes seemed to remain connected.
