Kai was still sleepy, but seeing Matilda only wearing his black shirt woke him up completely.
His mind wasn't on the box at all because of that.
Instead, he was still reliving the pleasure he felt last night, and that made him aroused again.
If anything, this was Matilda's fault for not covering up early in the morning.
But when the last plaster sealing the box was sliced, and she opened the box—the entire room was suddenly filled with the pleasant air of mana. Only then did Kai snap out of his trance and lean in to take a look.
"What is this?" Matilda's brows furrowed.
"I think it's a shield." Kai looked at the scaled shield attentively—and realized that it was one that he recognized. "I think it was Chester's shield. You know—the one that has wind affinity. The one he used to fight me."
"You're right."
Matilda took out the shield that was lighter than she anticipated and then put it aside.
And then, her eyes bore witness to the other things hiding under the shield.
