Zi Han stared at the man standing before her for several long seconds, her heartbeat strangely uneven inside her chest. The resemblance was too strong. Not only the face, but the presence itself. That suffocating quietness around him. The calmness that felt heavier than anger. Even the way he stood carried the same oppressive restraint she remembered so vividly.
But then reality settled over her again.

That world had only been a dream.
A vivid, emotionally damaging dream perhaps, but still only a dream.
How could two worlds possibly exist?
How could someone from a fictional world suddenly appear here in reality?
It didn't make sense.
Zi Han lowered her gaze briefly before letting out a small self-deprecating chuckle at herself. She had truly let those memories affect her too deeply. Her therapist was right. She had begun unconsciously searching for fragments of that world in real life.
Slowly, she stepped forward and extended her hand politely.
