Boros's chest caved in as he was blasted backward, crashing through several towering buildings before he barely regained his balance. He glanced down at the wound, surprise flickering in his single eye.
"So fast..."
Before he could finish, Sol was already behind him. Crimson claws tore through the air with a sharp shriek, aimed straight at Boros's back. Boros twisted aside at the last moment, but a deep gash still split across his body, blue blood spraying out.
His eye narrowed.
Sol's current form had gone far beyond anything he had expected. Long white hair whipped wildly in the violent energy currents, while those crimson claws carved through the air like living blades.
"In that case... let me show you my ultimate form. Someone like you is worth it. I will burn everything!"
Boros laughed as his body began to change. His deep blue skin shifted to white, while dark purple energy patterns spread across him like pulsing veins.
"Meteoritic Burst!"
A violent storm of energy erupted from his body, turning the sky above City A into a distorted shade of purple. The sheer pressure forced Sol backward, his body sliding through the air under the impact.
"Collapsing Star Roar!"
Boros's entire body lit up as his speed surged several times over. He moved like a phantom through the storm, appearing and vanishing in flashes. Each reappearance left another brutal wound on Sol's body.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Three crushing blows landed in succession. Sol was driven back repeatedly, his chest collapsing inward while one arm snapped unnaturally.
Yet his expression barely changed.
His body healed at a visible rate, flesh stitching itself together as if nothing had happened. At the same time, another mutation took place. His back bulged, then split open as six blade-like appendages burst out, lashing toward Boros like living whips.
"This... what kind of power is this... Is Rookie going to be okay?" Metal Bat muttered, his mouth hanging open.
Tatsumaki hovered nearby, her green curls whipping violently as she stared into the sky. "That idiot... don't die."
Bang's hand trembled slightly as he stroked his beard. "I hope this child wins..."
Child Emperor adjusted his glasses, eyes wide. "These energy readings..."
Genos's mechanical eyes flickered rapidly. "Senior Sol and the alien's energy levels are still rising."
On the sidelines, Muzan stood frozen. A single thought echoed in his mind. There was no path left for him to rise.
Kokushibo's six eyes remained locked on the battle. "Lord Ancestor... is overwhelming."
"Brother," Daki whispered, tugging at Gyutaro's sleeve. "Should we help?"
"Don't be stupid," Gyutaro replied. "At that level, stepping in would be suicide."
Gyokko crouched in the shadows, water pouring endlessly from his pot to treat the wounded. "Such terrifying power..."
Akaza stood at a high vantage point, eyes burning with excitement. "This is the peak of martial arts..."
Hantengu's split bodies rushed around, carrying injured heroes to safety.
Above them, Boros's energy storm began to fade. His transformed body radiated an overwhelming pressure.
"This form uses my own energy as propulsion, pushing me beyond biological limits."
He surged forward and drove his knee into Sol.
The impact exploded with force, sending Sol flying all the way to the moon.
"It should be over now..." Boros muttered, hovering in the sky.
On the lunar surface, Sol's body lay embedded deep within a crater wall. Silence surrounded him. Dust floated weightlessly in the vacuum.
His crimson eyes slowly opened.
White hair drifted eerily as he moved. Dropping to all fours, his claws dug into the rock while his muscles twisted and reformed beneath his skin like something alive.
He lifted his head.
Earth shone in the distance, a bright blue sphere against the darkness.
The red glow in his eyes deepened.
Then the moon's surface shattered.
Sol launched himself forward like a cannon, tearing through space straight toward Earth.
Back on the ground, within the ruins of the Hero Association headquarters:
"Rookie isn't dead, right? Can he even survive on the moon?" Metal Bat muttered, gripping his bat tightly.
Tatsumaki kept her gaze fixed on the sky. She refused to believe he would go out like that.
Bang exhaled slowly, regret weighing on him. "If he had been stronger earlier... perhaps this wouldn't have happened."
High above City A, Boros floated near the wreckage of his ship. His chest rose and fell heavily as the purple patterns across his body flickered.
"This form places a massive strain on my body. It shortens my lifespan... I planned to save it, but I wanted to end this quickly."
Then his eye snapped upward.
"How is that possible..."
A white figure tore through the atmosphere, trailing fire and dark red energy. The sonic boom echoed across the sky as Sol descended.
On the ground, Tatsumaki looked up, a brief smile flashing across her face before she forced it away. "Good. That idiot actually made it back."
In the sky, Sol and Boros collided again.
The shockwave blasted the clouds apart.
Boros's expression shifted from shock to focus.
"Because of you, I will give everything I have!"
He surged forward again, transforming into a streak of white light as he clashed with Sol. Each collision sent violent shockwaves across the city, shattering windows for kilometers and forcing the heroes below to shield themselves.
But something felt wrong.
Boros could feel it.
Even though he seemed to be dominating, Sol's defense was steadily improving. Every strike required more force than the last to deal the same damage.
And Boros was reaching his limit.
"This... is this really human power?" Zombieman muttered, his cigarette falling from his lips as he stared upward.
Metal Bat tightened his grip. "How much strength is that guy still hiding...?"
Tatsumaki bit her lip slightly, her eyes fixed on Sol as he endured the barrage. "Idiot... you better win."
Bang exhaled slowly. "Sol has already surpassed me... by far."
Genos's systems strained as he continued recording. "Energy readings have exceeded all thresholds. Senior Sol and the alien's power levels are beyond calculation."
