Chapter 213 - *Chapter 212: The Third Generation of the Family

*

"Can you guarantee that the Silver Dragon's viper hasn't found him?"

The silver-haired man with a full beard was still uneasy. This wandering noble, Mo Luola Wuneibaer, was the brother of Ben Oonebal, who had died here. After Ben's death, the Oonebal family lost their excellent heir and were further oppressed by the Elephant Party nobles within the Black Wall. Several "Dragonlord family" forces, keen on "stealing dragons," suffered a drastic decline, with some of the most tragic families almost being removed from the Black Wall.

These "Dragonlord family" ultimately decided to go all in.

Mo Luola Wuneibaer was the swan song of the Oonebal family. He brought the most beautiful girl from his family to this barren island and, along with his companions from the Beilelisi family, participated in this not-so-secret, not-so-thorough, and utterly unplanned endeavor.

And so, many years passed.

The Beilelisi family collaborators left, not because they withdrew from the plan, but because their ship encountered a naval battle between the royal family fleet and pirates on their way from Gray Terror Island and was caught in the crossfire. Out of twelve merchant ships, only one managed to retreat back to Gray Terror Island in disarray. If not for the steady supplies from Silver Crown City, their plan might have failed long ago.

Mo Luola has now completely integrated into the Westeros life on Gray Terror Island. Even his former slave, the apparent owner of this tavern, is now almost like family and a friend to him.

"I can't guarantee that," Aeryal, Mo Luola's former slave and now his right-hand man, said, wiping the cup Mo Luola had just finished drinking from, shaking his head. "I can only guarantee that neither acting Lord Hed nor Meral himself knows whose child this is. Although the Silver Dragon's viper is pervasive, the current Arbitrator is not the former Silver Prince. He won't kill innocent people without evidence."

"You dyed that child's hair?"

Mo Luola suddenly understood.

"In fact, he hasn't known his true hair color since the day he was born, Mo Luola." Aeryal poured Mo Luola another strong beer. He needed to conserve the dwindling ale in the tavern. Having stayed on this island for so many years, Aeryal and Mo Luola were already very clear about the island's structure.

The current lord of the Ke Bo family is Lady Meiluola Ke Bo, the eldest daughter of old Lord Ke Bo, who already has twelve children. Her output from Gray Terror Keep cannot support so many children, but she has managed to sustain herself through occasional sea trade from Gray Terror Island—primarily from the ships of ambitious individuals like those from Volantis.

Now, with the resumption of sea trade in the Stepstones, Lady Meiluola's surviving children have also started families and careers. Of course, apart from those who married out, her children could only intermarry with the other two "nobles" on the island—mainly the thoroughly declined House Hightower.

The current head of House Hightower, Ser Gailin Hightower of the Hightower, had a mother and a wife both from the Ke Bo family. Lady Meiluola considered marrying her daughter to Meral, but out of apprehension for his identity and lineage, Lady Meiluola ultimately abandoned the idea.

But House Hightower didn't care; since things were already like this, how much worse could they get?

So Ser Gailin's sister married Meral Yangyan, becoming his lawful wife. They had one legitimate son, a golden-haired boy, who unfortunately died shortly after birth from a severe cold.

There was no reaction from the Varezes family or the Targaryen family; the two families seemed to have forgotten Meral, but the Silver Fleet's blockade of Gray Terror Island told people otherwise.

The two Dragonlord families had not forgotten.

From then on, until the silent Lady Hightower passed away, Meral and his wife never had another child.

"Meral loves this ale produced in the North. Unfortunately, our stock is never plentiful." Aeryal watched Mo Luola finish his strong beer again, and couldn't help but sigh in his heart. Thirty years ago, his former master would never have touched such rough, barely drinkable grain alcohol, which only slaves and foreign barbarians would drink. But now, Mo Luola could treat these rough ales and beers as his once beloved Volantis wine, like green wine, as an everyday drink.

Aeryal also didn't know what this meant.

"Any new news recently?" After gulping down another beer, Mo Luola's inner anxiety finally subsided under the combined effect of alcohol and enough grain dregs to chew on for a long time.

"What kind of news do you want to hear? Dragons? Politics?" Aeryal put down the glass and leaned on the counter, saying, "My news isn't much faster than yours."

"Tell me about news related to Dragon Nest City and King's Landing." Mo Luola sighed. His news sources had been cut off for a long time. The last time he received news from the outside was four months ago. Mo Luola didn't know what had happened to his informant; in short, he hadn't contacted him for a long time.

"The Crown Prince of the Targaryen family has tamed a dragon."

"Which one?" Mo Luola immediately perked up. The last time he received news, it was that Dan Valareus of the Varezes family had tamed Syrax, the "Forest Beast," Valenna Varese had tamed Silverwing, Aemon of the Targaryen family had tamed Seasmoke, and Prince Aegon had tamed Syrax.

"Caraxes, or Vermax?" Mo Luola, uncharacteristically, guessed with some excitement.

"Neither." Aeryal calmly shook his head. "It's Dreamfyre."

"Dreamfyre?" Mo Luola recalled and immediately remembered this old dragon, famous among their group of "dragon seekers." This dragon might not be considered the most powerful among them, but it was one of the most important, not only because it was the oldest living dragon, and although smaller than its descendants, it was still a true behemoth, but also because it was a dragon that could lay eggs.

Dragon eggs were also something these guys dreamed of.

"Then Crown Prince Daeron should be congratulated."

Mo Luola sighed, raising his glass to signal Aeryal for another drink, any drink would do.

As long as it was alcohol.

Aeryal shook his head and poured him a full glass of wine.

"This time it's good wine, leftover from the last ship." Aeryal shook the wine barrel, listening to the gurgling sound of the liquid. "Drink slowly."

There wasn't much of this Volantis wine left either.

"Indeed, I haven't had it in a long time." Mo Luola bitterly drank the glass of wine in one go.

"News from King's Landing says Dreamfyre is the fiercest dragon in the Dragonpit. It is said to have killed no less than five dragons that tried to approach its nest, and for some unknown reason, it even crushes its own dragon eggs."

Mo Luola, feeling a pang of heartache, signaled Aeryal for another drink. He couldn't bear to hear such wasteful words.

Aeryal poured him another strong beer. "Drink less."

"Not much," Mo Luola sighed. "This much alcohol isn't enough for me to get a good night's sleep."

"But Prince Daeron bravely walked towards this dragon. It is said that Dreamfyre was very angry when she saw Prince Daeron, but Prince Daeron used only a shield and a rope to withstand her dragonflame and successfully climbed onto her back. Dreamfyre furiously tried to fly off and shake off the Prince, but was restrained by the Prince with ropes."

"When Prince Daeron dismounted the dragon, he was unharmed and had already tamed this temperamental mother dragon."

"The bard who concocted this story for Crown Prince Daeron is quite good. Didn't the royal family reward them?"

Aeryal shrugged; only the gods would know.

"Anything else?"

"Yes," Aeryal said, this time somewhat seriously. "The Arbitrator's lady is pregnant."
