As they walked along, they observed that Ponyville was very different from Canterlot; most of the buildings here were wooden structures with thatched roofs, a rustic, authentic country style.
It did look like there was a significant fire hazard, and the magical atmosphere here wasn't very strong, so they had chosen to install water tanks at key locations to prevent such risks.
The three ponies arrived at the only school in Ponyville; the red building looked very cozy, and there were some recreational facilities for The foals in the nearby open space.
The reason they chose to come here was to look for ponies who, like Twilight Sparkle and Applejack, had received their cutie mark because of the Sonic Rainboom.
Although the probability of such a coincidence happening in the same place was quite small, it was not entirely impossible, so at the suggestion of Aurora, they unanimously decided to come here and investigate.
It happened to be recess time, and most of the students in the school were relaxing in groups of two or three in the open space.
"There are quite a few ponies here; why don't we split up? It should be faster that way, and we can share what we've found when we regroup."
Sunset Shimmer suggested, and her two companions agreed with her idea, so the three ponies each headed off in a different direction.
Aurora did not immediately blend into the crowd to gather intelligence; as a transmigrator holding the script, she already knew the answer in advance, so she didn't need to search aimlessly for targets like the other two, instead, she headed straight for the bulletin board of the Ponyville school.
After scanning over a few campus news items for a moment, Aurora found the information she was looking for.
A Ponyville school newspaper was posted on the bulletin board, reporting on last week's stage performance at the school, with a special review of the actors' costumes.
Neat and tidy stitching, harmonious color combinations, and most importantly, the gems studded on them, radiated a dazzling brilliance under the refraction of the lights that night. Because of the excellent costumes, this performance received unanimous praise from the audience.
Using gems to make students' costumes was a very bold design, but the response was quite good. It was also thanks to the pony in charge of making the costumes for being able to find enough gems and modifying them before the performance.
Rarity was the pony who designed such ingenious costumes, and this was the reason Aurora guided Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer to come here.
Aurora couldn't calculate what impact letting the M6 meet early would have on the future, but as it stood, this was not a bad thing; it could be considered letting Twilight Sparkle accumulate an understanding of friendship in advance.
Aurora looked at the two future protagonists who were splitting up to talk to The foals on the open space, and she felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction in her heart, feeling like an audience member sitting in a VIP seat.
Just as she was secretly rejoicing, a small white pony with a purple mane suddenly poked her head out from the edge of her field of vision, startling her so much that the corners of her mouth stiffened, and she hurriedly regained her composure.
"Hello! If you don't mind me asking, you probably don't live in Ponyville, do you?"
The white pony... or rather Rarity, after appearing on her own, began to circle around Aurora, observing her from various angles, which instantly changed her experience from an audience member to a model, making her feel a bit self-conscious for a moment.
However, she had come here specifically to look for Rarity, and now that Rarity had found her on her own initiative, it was a case of finding something without even trying.
