The final fight was… disappointing.
Marcus stood in the center of the monastery with his arms crossed.
The Lich floated weakly above the altar, its staff trembling.
Blue fire flickered weakly inside its eye sockets.
It tried to raise its staff again.
Nothing happened.
Marcus tilted his head.
"That's it?"
Lyrielle watched cautiously.
"It appears… drained."
Marcus scratched the back of his head.
"You summoned like three hundred skeletons, buddy."
"What did you expect?"
The lich made one final attempt.
A faint summoning circle appeared on the ground.
Two skeleton arms pushed up through the stone…
Then collapsed into dust.
Marcus sighed.
"Alright."
He raised his hand.
"Meteor."
The air above the monastery cracked.
A glowing rock tore through the dungeon ceiling like a falling star.
The lich barely had time to raise its head.
BOOM.
The meteor slammed into the altar.
Stone exploded outward.
The lich shattered instantly.
Silence filled the monastery.
Dust slowly settled across the ruined floor.
Marcus brushed debris from his coat.
"...Well."
"That was anticlimactic."
Lyrielle chuckled softly.
"My lord, you already defeated it when you exhausted its mana."
Marcus shrugged.
"Fair."
Then something unusual happened.
The boss loot appeared.
But instead of the usual explosion of items…
Only one object dropped.
Marcus blinked.
"...Wait."
He walked forward and picked it up.
It was a glowing crystal about the size of his palm.
Dark purple energy swirled inside it.
The system window appeared.
Dungeon Core
Rank: A
Description:
A rare artifact that allows the owner to construct and control a dungeon within their territory.
Functions:
• Create monster spawning zones
• Generate dungeon rewards
• Establish defense systems
• Produce dungeon energy
Marcus froze.
"...What?"
Lyrielle leaned closer.
"What is it?"
Marcus slowly turned the crystal in his hand.
"This…"
He looked up.
"This lets us build our own dungeon."
Lyrielle's eyes widened.
"In your territory?"
Marcus nodded slowly.
"Yeah."
Then he started laughing.
"Oh that is completely broken."
A dungeon meant infinite monsters.
Infinite drops.
Infinite experience.
And players would eventually challenge it.
Which meant resources.
Defense.
And power.
Marcus carefully stored the Dungeon Core in his inventory.
Then the dungeon system appeared again.
Dungeon Cleared
Reward Chest Generated
A large chest materialized beside the destroyed altar.
Marcus opened it immediately.
Inside were piles of materials.
Stone.
Iron.
Wood.
Hundreds of units.
Perfect for construction.
Marcus nodded.
"Nice."
But there was something else inside.
A single glowing blueprint.
He picked it up.
Building Blueprint – Undead Blacksmith
Rank: B
Description:
Allows the creation of a blacksmith capable of forging equipment using undead craftsmanship.
Special Effect:
Equipment produced may gain undead attributes.
Marcus raised an eyebrow.
"...That's metal."
Lyrielle examined the design.
"The architecture resembles the dungeon itself."
Marcus nodded.
"Yeah."
Dark stone.
Bone supports.
Green fire for the forge.
Very undead aesthetic.
Marcus stored the blueprint.
Then the dungeon changed again.
A portal appeared in the center of the monastery.
A swirling gray gate.
Two options appeared in the system interface.
Dungeon Portal
Options:
• Exit Dungeon
• Reset Dungeon
Marcus stared at the options.
Then slowly smiled.
Lyrielle immediately recognized the expression.
"My lord…"
Marcus pointed at the portal.
"We're not leaving."
Lyrielle blinked.
"You intend to—"
Marcus nodded.
"Reset it."
The wolves looked excited.
The arachne tilted their heads curiously.
Marcus cracked his knuckles.
"We farm this place until everyone hits level twenty."
Lyrielle looked at him for a moment.
Then she smiled.
"As you wish."
Marcus tapped Reset Dungeon.
The monastery dissolved into darkness.
The Farming Runs
The dungeon restarted.
Floor one.
Cemetery.
Forty skeletons.
This time…
It wasn't even close.
Marcus's army was far stronger now.
The wolves tore through the undead like a storm.
Lyrielle's Multi Shot eliminated entire groups instantly.
The arachne hunted the backline like assassins.
The skeleton priests kept everyone fully healed.
The first floor was cleared in less than twenty minutes.
Floor two took slightly longer.
But the knights fell quickly under the wolves' improved skills.
Then the boss floor.
The lich.
More farming.
More summons.
More loot.
More cards.
Then another meteor.
Boss dead.
Reset.
They did it again.
And again.
And again.
By the fourth dungeon run, the system notifications became constant.
Level Up
Wolf Warrior – Level 20
Level Up
Arachne Hunter – Level 20
Level Up
Lyrielle – Level 20
Finally Marcus himself leveled again.
Marcus Hale
Level: 20
Max Level Reached
Marcus leaned against a pillar inside the monastery.
He looked at his inventory.
Then burst out laughing.
It had become completely absurd.
Total Loot Obtained
Troop Cards: 1,487
Skill Cards: 312
Weapons: Hundreds
Armor: Hundreds
Building Materials: Massive quantities
Lyrielle walked beside him.
"My lord."
Marcus looked up.
"I know."
"This is insane."
She nodded.
"You could build an army."
Marcus grinned.
"I plan to."
He looked toward the dungeon portal again.
The reset option still glowed.
But Marcus shook his head.
"That's enough."
"For now."
He tapped Exit Dungeon.
The portal swallowed them.
And moments later—
Marcus and his army stepped back into the forest outside the bone archway.
The mist swirled quietly.
And waiting nearby…
Was Liliana.
The Goblin Lord.
