"How could this happen? How could this happen? This can't be real. Senba, wake up! Wake up and tell Mom this isn't real. Wake up! Please, wake up!"
"Tsunade…" Seeing his wife like this, Isamu couldn't bear it. Just as he was about to speak, Tsunade rushed over and grabbed him by the collar.
"It's you! It's all your fault! You let our son die! Give him back! Give me back my son!" Tsunade screamed, completely broken.
"Tsunade, you have to accept reality. Senba is gone…"
"Accept reality? How am I supposed to accept this? This isn't reality—it's a nightmare! Uchiha Isamu, didn't you have people watching Konoha? Tell me, what were you doing? What were you doing while our son was dying?! Aren't you supposed to be the strongest man in the world? If you couldn't even save your own son, what kind of father does that make you?! What good is all that power if you can't protect your own family? Answer me!"
She bombarded Isamu with accusations before finally driving her fist into his face.
The punch sent him staggering back a step.
Afterward, Tsunade herself nearly collapsed. Garuda and Shizune hurried forward to support her.
"Sister, stay strong! Isamu brought the children's bodies back. He must have a way to save them!"
"That's right, Lady Tsunade. Lord Isamu will definitely find a way to save Lord Senba and Lady Mikoto. Please…"
Hearing them, Tsunade looked at Isamu with hollow eyes and gave a bitter laugh.
"Heh… What's the point of being so powerful? You couldn't save your brother, and now you couldn't save your own son and daughter-in-law. You failed as a brother-in-law… and you're an even greater failure as a father. When it matters most, you can't protect the people who matter to you."
She gently shook off Garuda and Shizune's support before kneeling beside Senba and Mikoto, softly caressing their cold faces.
Her hemophobia made her hands tremble uncontrollably.
"Isamu…" Garuda looked at him hesitantly.
Isamu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Looking at Tsunade sitting on the floor in despair, he said calmly,
"You're right. As a brother-in-law, I did fail. I have no excuse for what happened to Nawaki. But I won't accept being called a failure as a father."
Tsunade ignored him completely, her gaze fixed on her son and daughter-in-law.
"Enough, Isamu. My sister is already heartbroken. Stop arguing with her. I know you can bring people back to life—you even brought me back from the dead. Hurry and save them!" Garuda urged anxiously.
"Bring people back to life?" Shizune's eyes widened in shock. Tsunade also remembered Garuda's resurrection and immediately turned to stare at Isamu.
"The past can't be changed… but the future still can." Isamu looked at Tsunade steadily. "Compared to you, I believe I've done my duty as a father. That's one thing you can't take away from me."
As he spoke, his Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan opened.
A massive phantom time wheel, nearly five meters in diameter, materialized in the room.
He infused it with Chakra, causing it to rotate rapidly before bringing his hands together.
"Ultimate Time Drive—Space-Time Reversal—Time Rewind!"
The time wheel accelerated, releasing a brilliant beam of light that enveloped Senba and Mikoto.
The Power of Time flowed through their bodies.
Their wounds closed.
The blood disappeared.
Their souls were pulled back by the time wheel, and once reunited with their bodies, the technique was complete.
"It's done."
The phantom time wheel vanished.
Closing his Rinnegan, Isamu let out a weary sigh and sat down.
Seeing him say it was finished—and seeing the blood disappear—Tsunade's trembling gradually stopped.
She gently called out,
"Senba… Mikoto… Senba… Mikoto…"
But despite calling to them repeatedly, neither responded.
She immediately looked back at Isamu.
Seeing this, Isamu took a deep breath and shouted,
"My technique is complete! If you're going to wake up, then wake up now!"
The moment his voice rang out, Senba and Mikoto opened their eyes and slowly sat up.
"Uh… What's going on? Weren't we dead?" Senba asked blankly.
Smiles instantly spread across Tsunade's and Garuda's faces.
They rushed forward and embraced them.
Tsunade threw her arms around Senba, while Garuda tightly hugged Mikoto.
"Thank goodness… Thank goodness! Senba, you're really alive. I knew you'd come back to us!"
"Mom…" Seeing his mother clinging to him, Senba froze before slowly hugging her back.
"I'm sorry…"
"As long as you're alive, nothing else matters." Tsunade carefully examined him from head to toe. "Now let me see if you're really alright."
Meanwhile, Garuda fussed over Mikoto with endless concern.
Isamu and Shizune stood nearby, quietly watching.
"Mom, I'm fine now. But… I clearly remember dying. How am I still alive?" As Senba spoke, he noticed his father sitting nearby with a stern expression. He immediately lowered his head, not daring to meet his gaze.
"Yes, Mother Garuda," Mikoto added. "Didn't we die in Konoha? How are we here?"
"Oh, that's simple." Garuda smiled warmly. "You did die in Konoha Village. But your father brought your bodies back and pulled both of you back from the Shinigami's grasp."
She pointed toward Isamu.
"I see…" Deeply moved, Mikoto walked over, bowed respectfully, and said,
"Father, thank you. Thank you for saving Senba and me. I…"
"Good child." Isamu's expression softened as he patted her shoulder. "How could a father stand by and do nothing? Seeing you both safe again is enough for me."
"No matter what, Father, you've done so much for us. I truly…"
"That's enough, Mikoto," Garuda interrupted gently as she took her hand. "Protecting his children is a father's responsibility. There's no need to feel indebted."
"Mikoto, you've only just come back. Your soul is still unstable. Shizune, take her somewhere she can rest."
"Of course. Lady Mikoto, please come with me."
Mikoto looked at Senba worriedly.
After seeing him nod reassuringly, she followed Shizune out of the room.
