Chapter 233 - Chapter 235: A Battle Against Indra

Fortunately, Indra would never truly lose his temper with his little sister, Karura.

She was the youngest child in the family and the only daughter. When they were young, everyone had doted on her endlessly, and even Indra had been exceptionally protective of her.

As the years passed, however, she had moved to the moon with Ōtsutsuki Hamura, and the closeness they once shared gradually faded.

Though they were no longer as intimate as before, they were still family.

Yet when it came to Ashura, no one could change Indra's mind.

Not even Karura.

"Big Brother, why are you acting like this?"

Karura puffed out her cheeks and planted her hands on her hips.

"I'm your little sister. Do I need a reason just to stay here and keep you company?"

Indra immediately rolled his eyes.

Arguing with Karura was a waste of time.

He knew her personality all too well.

In front of outsiders, she was a graceful and dignified noblewoman.

Around family, however, she could be unbelievably mischievous.

Once she started acting shamelessly, even Indra had no idea how to deal with her.

After all, he couldn't exactly beat up his own sister.

"Do whatever you want."

Indra waved dismissively.

"It's not like I can't afford to feed one extra person."

Then his expression suddenly turned serious.

"However, let me make one thing clear. Don't bother me unless it's something important."

As if remembering something, he narrowed his eyes.

"The Old Man's brother took all of you to settle in that place, didn't he?"

"From what I know, none of you were supposed to leave without permission."

"Now that you've suddenly come here…"

His voice paused briefly.

"Did something happen to the Old Man's brother?"

The place he referred to was naturally the moon.

However, because Isamu was present, he intentionally spoke vaguely.

What Indra didn't know was that Isamu had long since figured everything out.

"My father…"

Karura lowered her head.

A trace of sorrow appeared on her beautiful face.

"He passed away."

"I see."

Indra nodded calmly.

He wasn't particularly surprised.

The Six Paths Sage had already passed away.

Since Ōtsutsuki Hamura was of the same generation, his death was only a matter of time.

For a moment, silence filled the room.

Even Indra's expression softened slightly.

No matter how much resentment he held, hearing news of a family member's death inevitably stirred old memories.

After noticing Isamu still standing there, Indra quickly regained his composure.

"My apologies."

He let out a quiet breath.

"Thinking about the past made me lose my composure."

"It's getting late."

"Everyone should rest for today."

"That's fine, then—"

"Wait!"

Before Isamu could finish speaking, Karura suddenly interrupted him.

Her eyes moved between Isamu and Indra.

A playful smile gradually appeared on her face.

"When I came here, Ashura told me that someone appeared who possesses the same eyes as Big Brother."

"I've been very curious ever since."

She looked at Isamu.

"Big Brother, and that… that…"

"Uchiha Isamu."

Isamu crossed his arms.

"You can call me Isamu or use my full name. Either is fine."

"Uchiha Isamu, huh?"

Karura nodded.

"Alright. I'll remember it."

Then she smiled mischievously.

"It's still early."

"How about this?"

"Big Brother, Isamu."

"Since both of you possess the same eyes, why not have a spar?"

"Let's see whose eyes are stronger."

The moment she finished speaking, Isamu inwardly thought:

As expected.

He had already guessed where she was going with this.

Not only did he not object—

His fighting spirit immediately ignited.

Ever since arriving in this era, he had wanted to test himself against Indra.

An Indra who could stand at the Six Paths level.

An Indra whose Susanoo rivaled Ashura's giant Wood Release avatar.

This opportunity was too good to pass up.

Sensing the fighting intent radiating from Isamu, a slight smile appeared on Indra's face.

Truthfully, he had wanted this battle as well.

Looking directly at Isamu, he said calmly:

"Judging by that look in your eyes, you've wanted to fight me for a long time."

"That's fine."

"I don't mind."

His Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan spun slowly.

"However, once the battle begins, there is no stopping."

"I do not accept draws."

"I do not accept surrender."

"I fight until my opponent can no longer stand."

"Uchiha Isamu."

"Are you prepared for that?"

"Of course."

Isamu nodded without hesitation.

"The pride of a true warrior does not allow retreat."

"Unless I die or can no longer stand, I will never stop fighting."

"As for a draw?"

A confident smile appeared on his face.

"That will never happen."

Karura's eyes sparkled.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Aside from Ashura, there was finally another person willing to challenge Indra head-on.

This was going to be fun.

News of the battle spread through the clan like wildfire.

The entire settlement exploded into excitement.

People abandoned whatever they were doing and rushed toward the battlefield.

"Hurry! Hurry!"

"That newcomer is fighting Lord Indra!"

"Don't miss it!"

"Hah! That fool is asking for death."

"Exactly. Does he think he's the Six Paths Sage?"

"Challenging Lord Indra? He doesn't know his own limits!"

Countless figures raced through the clan grounds.

Not a single one believed Isamu could win.

Many of them had challenged Indra before.

Every single one had been crushed.

Now they were eager to watch someone else suffer the same fate.

Soon, hundreds of spectators gathered around a massive basin outside the settlement.

Men.

Women.

Children.

Even Indra's many sons and daughters had arrived.

The basin stretched nearly one hundred kilometers across.

To ordinary people, it looked more like a vast plain than a basin.

This was the largest battlefield available.

Though everyone present suspected that once these two monsters started fighting, even this enormous area might not survive intact.

Standing at the center of the basin, Indra gazed toward Isamu.

"Tian Qi—"

He stopped himself and smirked.

"No."

"Uchiha Isamu."

"My people seem unusually interested in this battle."

"In recent years, the war against the Ninja Sect has become rather dull."

"There have been victories and defeats, but nothing truly exciting."

His long black hair fluttered wildly in the wind.

The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan emerged within his eyes.

"Today."

"Let's show them what a true battle looks like."

"A battle between genuine powerhouses."

Isamu smiled.

"That sounds like a great idea."

His own Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan appeared.

The five-pointed pinwheel pattern spun slowly.

His long black hair danced in the wind as he met Indra's gaze head-on.

For a brief moment—

The entire basin fell silent.

Then two overwhelming killing intents erupted simultaneously, colliding in midair like invisible storms.

The battle was about to begin.
