Liam arrived with his laptop already open—she'd noticed he did that when he had things he wanted to cover before she could redirect the agenda. He set it on the conference table, pulled out the chair across from hers, and got straight to it.
"The regulatory filing for the TechCorp defense needs to be submitted by the end of next week," he said. "Patricia's team is ready on our end. Where are you with Vanessa?"
"She finished the review yesterday. We're aligned." Aurora pulled up her own screen. "The joint submission is cleaner than separate filings—it signals unified opposition. Ray's legal team will push back on the standing argument but Patricia already anticipated that."
"She did." Something almost like a smile. "Patricia anticipates everything. It's occasionally terrifying."
