The garden is as beautiful as I imagined and bigger than I could imagine. It's fortunate that I got out the way I did, because if I had decided to get through the garden to get out, I would have been easily found out passed out in the maze like garden the next morning, all exhausted.
Speaking of, I don't remember if I even end up finding out how I ended up back at the mansion when I had been at the cafe...
But there is no time to think of that because my mother has arranged for me to meet the supposed fiance, the one and only womanizer of scene, Jonathan Richardson. From what my mother told me, he is a a good-looking man in his 30's. His mother had died at childbirth and since then, had been raised as the treasure of the family and named heir of the family legacy. Unfortunate for the family, he has grown to be pampered and arrogant although he apparently has some type of charm that woo's the ladies into swooning for him.
Clearly, my mother doesn't trust him. She made the arrangements clearly vigilant of his reputation. The meeting was arranged in the garden, with many servants around. My clothes were chosen for me as something not too provocative or tempting, but enough to show that I am a well loved and respected lady. Which basically means she dressed me in what I could only describe as something Queen Elizabeth II would wear (RIP QUEEN). I certainly felt like royalty, especially with the jewelry she adorned me out in.
Sipping my tea and staring out into the garden with my thoughts, I feel the familiar feeling of being watched. My instincts became alert and I was carefully observant. There was something odd about the words my mother had said earlier... She had found someone to watch me from the shadows? They must be hidden in the bushed somewhere or maybe on a tree watching right now. It's unsettling.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of incoming guests. I got to up to greet them as per protocol or whatever. That's when I saw not one guy, but a group of 3. One young girl, dressed as girly as you can imagine in frills and hair vibrant pink with bouncy curls. She clung onto the arm of a guy who almost looked like her father. Blonde, white suit, green eyes and weirdly attractive stubble. Not my type but he looked ok, kind of what an attractive divorced dad would look like. Besides him was another guy, more arrogant in his demeanor in a way. Didn't even seem to look at me but rather at the gardens.
Purple hair is unusual for someone in high society. His eyes looked distant. As if he was thinking of something so very sad. He was definately younger than the blonde, more delicate facial features. Very beautiful and enchanting. But in an instant, perhaps sensing my gaze, he looked back at me and straightened his expression to a poker face.
I could only hope my face also only showed a poker face.
As they approached, the girl hurriedly reached and called out, "Cousin!!! Wow, I am soooo happy to meet you at last. Aunt and Uncle were looking for you for so long."
