After the match ended, everyone gathered in Kastro's private room.
The room was currently packed with people.
Sophia clapped her hands excitedly as soon as she entered, while Shizuku stood quietly to the side with a faint smile on her lips.
Goreinu leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, his face full of admiration.
Kalluto stood by the window, withdrawing his gaze from outside to look at Kastro.
Kastro sat on the sofa; his wounds had been given basic treatment, with bandages wrapped from his shoulder to his waist.
There were still a few abrasions on his face, but his spirits were high, and his eyes shone with light.
Leo walked up to him and reached out to pat his shoulder.
"Well done. Your efforts were worth it. Keep working hard."
Kastro looked up at Leo.
In those eyes, there was gratitude and a sense of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted.
He nodded solemnly without speaking, but that nod carried more weight than any words.
This victory was his deepest obsession.
From the day he lost to Hisoka, he had thought about it day and night, wanting to win it back with his own hands.
He had done it.
Sophia leaned in happily, her eyes sparkling.
"Good job, Kastro! You were amazing!"
Shizuku also walked over, adjusted her glasses, and nodded slightly.
"Very good."
Kalluto leaned by the window with arms crossed, his tone flat but sincere.
"A beautiful win."
Goreinu clapped his hands, his face full of excitement.
"This calls for a celebration! Let's find a good place tonight and have a great meal!"
The others nodded one after another.
Sophia was the first to agree, Shizuku followed suit, and after a moment of hesitation, Kalluto also nodded.
Leo smiled.
"No problem."
He paused and looked at Goreinu.
"You guys find a place, and I'll head over later. I'm going to see someone first."
Goreinu was stunned for a moment, then immediately understood.
"Hisoka?"
Leo nodded without saying more.
Kalluto stepped forward.
"I'll go with you."
Leo shook his head.
"Go with Sophia and the others."
He looked at Kalluto.
"You need to learn how to get along with people."
Kalluto opened his mouth as if to say something, but ultimately just nodded.
He turned and walked to Sophia's side, standing still; he didn't speak, but he didn't leave either.
Sophia smiled at him; he remained expressionless, but the tips of his ears turned slightly red.
Leo turned and walked out of the room.
Heavens Arena, 200th Floor, Medical Room A-67.
The hallway was very quiet, with only the occasional sound of a passing nurse's footsteps.
Leo pushed open the door and walked in.
The room wasn't large, containing a hospital bed and a bedside table with an untouched glass of water and a bouquet of flowers on it.
Hisoka lay on the bed, wrapped in bandages from his chest to his waist; purple bruising was faintly visible beneath the white gauze.
Six of his ribs were broken, his face was taped up, and his left cheek was still swollen.
His eyes were open, staring at the ceiling, motionless.
His pupils were dilated, and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.
Leo walked to the bedside, but he didn't react at all.
Looking at him like this, Leo couldn't help but laugh out loud.
The laughter wasn't loud, but it was exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
Hisoka turned his head mechanically to look at Leo.
His movements were very slow, like a rusted machine, and his expression was a complete blank.
Leo asked with a smile,
"The proud Lord Hisoka—is this a mental breakdown?"
Hisoka did not answer.
The air fell into a dead silence, with only the occasional sound of the wind outside.
Leo wasn't in a hurry; he sat on the chair by the bed, crossed his legs, and continued to tease him.
"How does it feel to lose to an opponent you once looked down upon, Hisoka?"
Hisoka remained unmoved.
His gaze moved away from Leo's face and fell back onto the ceiling.
Leo shook his head, his tone tinged with a hint of reflection.
"You've already fallen too far behind. Only caring about finding toys—how long has it been since you've trained your Nen?"
Silence, a long silence.
Leo thought he wouldn't speak again and was preparing to get up and leave.
Then, Hisoka's body began to twitch.
First his fingers, then his arms, and finally his entire body.
A low chuckle emerged from his throat, growing louder and louder—squeezed from deep within, hoarse and feverish.
"Hehehe I didn't expect you to worry about me too, Leo"
He tilted his head and looked at Leo, the light reigniting in those golden pupils.
"I'm so touched, mmm—♦~"
Seeing him like this, Leo knew he had recovered.
A pervert is still a pervert; he wouldn't become a normal person just because of one defeat.
"I came here to mock you."
Leo stood up and put his hands back in his pockets.
"Since you're fine, I'm leaving. Recover well."
He turned and headed for the door.
Just as he gripped the doorknob, Hisoka's voice came from behind him.
The voice wasn't loud, and it was completely different from his usual flamboyant tone—it was very light and flat.
"Thanks, Leo."
Leo's footsteps faltered.
He hadn't expected a guy like Hisoka to actually thank someone.
No one would believe it if told; it was a rarity.
He shook his head, pulled the door open, and stepped out.
The hallway was quiet, his footsteps echoing softly in the empty space.
Leo didn't look back, but the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
Leo didn't go to Kastro's; instead, he returned to his own Floor Master suite first.
Just as he pushed open the door, his phone rang.
It was a call from Kalluto.
"That egg has been delivered. We need to go pick it up."
Leo nodded.
"Okay."
The two met at the entrance of Heavens Arena and left the city area together, heading toward the outskirts.
The wind in the outskirts was stronger than in the city, making their clothes rustle loudly.
The sky had already darkened, with only a final streak of dark red remaining on the horizon.
The two stood in an open clearing and waited for over ten minutes.
The sound of flapping wings came from the sky.
That cyan-yellow Three-winged Wyvern slowly descended, the wind pressure from its wings flattening the grass on the ground.
A figure jumped down from the wyvern's back.
Illumi.
He was dressed in dark clothing, his face expressionless, holding a massive egg in his hands.
The egg was half the size of a person, entirely deep cyan in color, with fine patterns faintly visible on its surface shimmering in the twilight.
Kalluto nodded slightly.
"Big brother Illumi."
Illumi didn't look at Kalluto; he simply walked up to Leo and handed over the egg.
His movements were crisp and efficient, as if completing a mandatory task and not wanting to stay for a single extra second.
Leo took the egg.
It was very heavy in his hands, heavier than it looked.
The temperature of the eggshell was lower than body temperature, feeling cool to the touch like holding a block of ice.
Illumi didn't say a word, turning around to leave.
He jumped onto the wyvern's back, and the creature spread its wings, kicking up a gust of wind as it took off and departed.
Leo watched the wyvern's receding figure and teased,
"Thanks for the hard work, goodbye!"
Illumi's body stiffened slightly.
He didn't look back, but the pause was obvious.
Then the wyvern accelerated and quickly vanished into the twilight.
