Chapter 155 - Chapter 156: Leo vs. The Doctor

In the vast space, the roaring sound was deafening.

"Bang—!!!"

A wall shattered with a boom, rubble flew everywhere, and dust filled the air.

A blood-red figure flew backward from the shattered wall, slamming heavily into another wall behind it!

"Boom—!!!"

The second wall collapsed in response!

Debris slammed into that figure, only to be deflected away!

The Doctor lay in the ruins, covered in dust, but there wasn't even a single scratch on those dark red scales.

From the dust, Leo slowly walked out.

His white clothes were already torn, and blood was seeping out from multiple places on his body.

But those wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye—a few seconds later, his skin was restored to its original state.

He shook the blood off his hand and stared at the Doctor in the ruins.

They had been fighting for several minutes, and the Doctor had taken two consecutive Super Destruction Fists from him, yet she was only sent flying, vomiting blood and falling to the ground.

The Doctor's physical defense was no worse than his; those dark red scales were incredibly hard. When he punched her, he could only leave a dent, and a kick only made the Doctor vomit blood.

And while the Doctor's attacks couldn't pierce his defense, those tentacles were truly annoying.

Three for main attacks, two for defense, and another two ready to support at any time.

Whenever he tried to approach the styx stone on the Doctor's chest, those two defensive tentacles would immediately protect the gem, while the other tentacles whipped in from various tricky angles.

Once, he almost made a Breakthrough past the obstruction, but three tentacles simultaneously wrapped around his arms, and another tentacle lashed hard across his face.

The force wasn't great, but it was annoying.

And the Doctor's recovery ability was not a bit slower than his.

He had gone to great lengths to leave a few wounds on her body, only for them to heal as good as new a few seconds later.

Leo narrowed his eyes.

'The styx stone is continuously supplying her with energy.'

'I can't keep using Super Destruction Fist. I've already used it several times since breaking in from the entrance, and my Nen consumption is significant. If this continues, I will definitely be the first to collapse.'

He could feel that the Doctor's aura hadn't weakened due to the battle; instead, it was getting stronger and stronger.

She was adapting to this new body.

In the ruins, the Doctor slowly stood up.

She brushed the rubble off her body, raised her head, and stared at Leo.

Those blood-red eyes were filled with rage.

"Damn you..."

Her voice was hoarse and low, carrying uncontrollable anger.

"To think you could rival me, now that I have become a perfect lifeform!"

The tentacles behind her danced frantically, lashing heavily against the ground!

"Snap! Snap! Snap!!!"

With every lash, the ground exploded into a deep gully!

Rubble flew everywhere, and dust filled the air!

"Ah—!!!"

She let out a long howl toward the sky!

For the past two minutes, she had been chased and beaten by Leo.

Although she hadn't suffered any serious injuries, she, the dignified Doctor, an existence about to open a new world, was actually being suppressed by a human?

This was humiliation! Naked humiliation!

Leo shook his hand, a disdainful smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

"A perfect lifeform?"

His voice was full of mockery.

"You're just a frog at the bottom of a well."

He stepped forward.

"You have no idea how vast the world outside is."

As soon as he finished speaking—

"Switch."

The black patterns on his body slightly squirmed, and light flowed through them.

Agility, increased by 50%!

Leo exerted force suddenly with his feet!

"Bang—!!!"

The ground shattered!

His figure turned into a golden stream of light, shooting straight toward the Doctor!

The speed was so fast it left an afterimage!

Her brain hadn't even had time to react, but her body had already instinctively moved—the five tentacles behind her moved instantly!

Three tentacles whipped in from the front, sealing off all routes of advance!

Two tentacles protected the styx stone on her chest, while the remaining two were ready to strike!

Leo charged into the cluster of tentacles!

The first tentacle whipped in from the left; he tilted his head slightly—the tentacle grazed past his earlobe, the wind pressure stinging his skin!

The second tentacle swept in from the right; he lowered his body, crouching to dodge!

The tentacle grazed over the top of his head and slammed into the ground behind him, exploding into a large pit with a "boom"!

The third tentacle smashed down from above; he sidestepped, the tentacle grazing his shoulder and slamming into the ground with a loud noise, causing the ground to crack and rubble to fly!

He had already charged in front of the Doctor!

Right fist from bottom to top, an uppercut!

"Bang—!!!"

The fist landed solidly on the Doctor's jaw!

The Doctor's head snapped back, and blood splattered from the corner of her mouth!

Leo didn't stop!

He twisted his waist to generate force, followed through with a horizontal sweep of his right leg, lashing hard against the Doctor's waist!

"Bang—!!!"

The Doctor was knocked sideways several meters!

But this time, she didn't fly away.

She took these two hits head-on! The moment Leo retracted his leg, her fist was already there!

"Bang—!!!"

A punch slammed into Leo's chest!

Leo stepped back twice, his chest slightly indented, then instantly restored!

The Doctor stepped back four times, the wound on her jaw also healing instantly!

The two confronted each other from five meters apart.

Leo stared at the Doctor, frowning slightly.

He had used eighty percent of his strength in that last punch.

Under normal circumstances, it would be enough to send her flying.

But she only stepped back a few paces.

Moreover, he noticed—the Doctor's aura had grown stronger by another notch.

In the distance, Ashir slumped behind the ruins, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.

He watched those two figures constantly colliding, separating, and colliding again, watched those shattered walls, watched those wounds healing in the blink of an eye, and was completely stunned.

'Monsters...'

He muttered in his heart.

'Both of these people are monsters...'

'Monsters among monsters...'

What normal person could fight like this?

What normal person could fight for their life while healing their wounds at the same time?

His worldview had been completely shattered.

Another loud noise ahead! Boom!!!

The two figures collided again! The shockwave spread wildly in all directions, shaking rubble everywhere!

Ashir was hit on the shoulder by a piece of rubble, grimacing in pain.

He gritted his teeth, looked at the handcuffs on his wrists, and then at the two figures fighting frantically in the distance.

'I can't stay here anymore!'

He stood up with all his might and stumbled toward the second floor.

If he stayed any longer, he would be killed by the aftershocks!

On the battlefield, Leo and the Doctor separated again.

Both of them were covered in blood—some was the other's, some was their own.

The Doctor was panting heavily, but the rage in those eyes had gradually been replaced by calmness.

She had discovered something.

This body was constantly evolving during the battle.

At first, she could only passively take a beating.

Every one of Leo's punches made her feel pain, and every attack could injure her.

But now—she could already keep up with his movements.

Although she still couldn't beat him, she could at least take his attacks head-on.

Moreover, her strength was also growing.

At first, her attacks on Leo could only leave a white mark.

Now—she looked down at her own fists.

Her fists were stained with blood; it was Leo's blood.

That punch just now, she had hit his abdomen.

Although the wound healed in the blink of an eye, it had indeed drawn blood.

The Doctor raised her head, looked at Leo, and the corners of her mouth slowly curled up.

"So that's how it is..."

Her voice carried excitement.

"The more you hit me, the stronger I become!"

Leo didn't speak.

He just stared at the styx stone on her chest.

The light from that gem was brighter than before.

It was continuously supplying energy to the Doctor.

And as the battle continued, the speed of the energy supply was getting faster and faster.

Leo could feel that the Doctor's aura was getting stronger every second.

Only a few minutes had passed, and now, she could withstand his attacks without falling.

Leo took a deep breath.

'It's time to go all out.'

He moved again! This time, he was even faster!

His figure turned into an afterimage, appearing instantly in front of the Doctor!

Right fist launched!

The Doctor didn't take it head-on this time.

She dodged to the side, while three tentacles lashed at Leo from different directions!

Leo didn't dodge or evade, taking the attacks of the three tentacles head-on, and slammed a punch into the Doctor's shoulder!

"Bang!"

The Doctor's shoulder indented, and she stepped back!

Leo was also rocked by the tentacles, and three bloody marks appeared on his shoulder!

But they healed in the blink of an eye! The indentation on the Doctor's shoulder also instantly recovered!

She grinned hideously and punched toward Leo's face!

Leo raised his hand to block, while simultaneously kneeing toward her abdomen!

"Bang! Bang!"

Both landed their hits! Leo stepped back once, the Doctor stepped back twice.

But the next second, both of their wounds healed simultaneously!

The Doctor's laughter rang out.

"Hahaha! That's it!"

She took the initiative to pounce on Leo, her tentacles dancing wildly! Her fists were like a rainstorm!

Leo didn't retreat but advanced, meeting her head-on!

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The two were locked in battle again! Fist to flesh! Tentacles dancing wildly! Blood splattering! Walls collapsing! The ground cracking!

The entire space was trembling!

Ashir ran desperately toward the second floor, his ears filled with that terrifying roaring sound.

He didn't dare to look back, didn't dare to stop, only knowing that as long as he could run to the second floor, it would be fine...

Behind him, the battle continued, and it was becoming more and more intense.
