Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Hisoka at His Peak

I published a new book.

Title : Jujutsu Kaisen: Death and Resurrection

summary...

[Jujutsu Kaisen + Death & Resurrection + Touhou Continent + Pseudo-Simulation + Invincible]

If you had to choose between spending a peaceful life with your "white moonlight" — the person you loved most — or obtaining unrivaled power and stepping into the world of Death & Resurrection, which would you choose?

Akuta Ken never imagined that one day he would actually transmigrate into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen and become a participant in Death & Resurrection.

At first, standing before the Death & Resurrection barrier, he refused without hesitation.

After all, joking online was one thing…

But in real life, who would willingly risk their life fighting monsters like Sukuna?

However, everything changed the moment Akuta Ken discovered that death was not the end.

The mysterious power that brought him into this world granted him a system.

As long as Sukuna remained undefeated, every death would rewind time back to the very beginning, while rewarding him according to his performance during each attempt.

With endless retries and nothing left to fear, Akuta Ken began to grow stronger at an unimaginable rate.

Sukuna?

He would surpass him.

There was no longer any time to grieve Gojo Satoru's death.

Because next—

It would be Akuta Ken's turn to shake the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

And all of it…

Started from a single comment that granted him the power of a Superior Sorcerer.

Heavens Arena, 200th Floor.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling window of his private room, Hisoka hung up the phone, the lingering warmth from rubbing the receiver still on his fingertips.

Outside the window, layers of clouds surged beneath his feet.

His reflection was cast upon the glass, but the curve of his lips was even more vivid than the scenery outside.

"On Leo's side... something very interesting is bound to happen~ ♦"

His voice was as soft as a whisper, yet the tail end of it trembled violently.

He so badly wanted to get involved.

He so badly wanted to see with his own eyes what kind of storm that man would stir up.

But in the next second, another thought poured down like cold water.

In a few days... was the battle with Gon.

That boy radiating a raw, green light; those eyes burning with stubbornness and purity; that rapidly growing little apple—

Hisoka's breathing suddenly became heavy.

Two desires, like two venomous snakes, entangled, bit, and rolled within his body.

On one side was an unknown adventure full of variables; that man Leo could always bring unexpected surprises, every contact like opening a door to an unknown world.

On the other side was a predetermined, long-awaited fruit; Gon was a seed he had planted himself, and he had waited far, far too long for this sapling to grow to a level he could enjoy.

"Should I continue the match with Gon..."

His voice began to shake.

"Or... go find Leo..."

The voice stopped abruptly.

Hisoka's body shook violently, as if struck by an invisible current. The whites of his eyes rolled up, his pupils spun wildly in their sockets, and a faint groan escaped his lips.

"I'm so conflicted—♦!!!"

His body twisted into a bizarre arc, casting a distorted shadow against the floor-to-ceiling window.

What would be on Leo's side? Bloodshed? Conspiracies? Or perhaps a powerhouse worthy of his all?

And what about Gon's side? How long had he looked forward to this match? Hadn't he watched that boy climb up step by step just for this moment?

If he missed out on Leo's side, would it be the greatest regret of his life?

If he missed out on Gon's side, would that fruit be picked by someone else?

"Aaaaaah—♦"

His body arched into a bridge, his forehead pressed against the cold glass, his hot breath condensing into a white mist on the window.

The whites of Hisoka's eyes rolled even more, but the curve of his mouth grew wider and wider, eventually turning into a near-manic laugh.

"Mmm—♦"

He slowly straightened up and adjusted his collar. The manic expression on his face had mostly retracted, leaving only two flickering flames burning silently in the depths of his eyes.

"...It's so hard to choose."

He spoke softly, his voice returning to that lazy, slightly raspy tone.

But in the next second, the corners of his mouth curled up again.

"However—since it's so hard to choose, let's leave it to fate ♦"

He pulled a coin engraved with a spider pattern from his pocket; it was the spider coin Machi had given him when he joined the Phantom Troupe.

Unfortunately, the spiders were all dead, so this coin was now useless.

The coin spun a few times on his fingertips and was then tossed high, flipping in the air and reflecting the light from outside.

Hisoka's pupils were fixed intently on the coin, his breathing becoming rapid once again.

The coin fell.

It landed in his palm.

He covered it with his other hand and slowly revealed it—

Then, he smiled.

After casually tossing the coin out the window, Hisoka turned and walked toward the back of the room.

Ten minutes later, while Leo was on his way to the airport, the phone in his pocket rang again.

He pulled it out and saw it was an unknown number.

Leo pressed the answer key.

"Hello, Mr. Leo."

The voice from the other end was slightly androgynous, making it impossible to discern a clear gender.

The tone was calm and detached, carrying a trace of faint curiosity.

"I am Kalluto. I heard you have a commission?"

Leo didn't stop walking, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly.

"That's right. I need your ability to find two people for me."

There was a second of silence on the other end.

"Then may I ask... how did you learn of my ability?"

There was a hint of inquiry in Kalluto's voice.

"I have never exposed my ability. How did you know?"

Leo smiled.

"Everyone has their secrets. As for how I know—"

He paused.

"Don't look too deeply into it."

The other end went silent again, this time for longer.

After several seconds, Kalluto's voice rang out again, a bit colder than before.

"I accept this commission."

Leo waited quietly for what came next.

"However, regarding the payment—"

There was a slight hint of annoyance in Kalluto's voice.

"Four billion per person. That's eight billion jenny in total. Pay half upfront, and the other half after they are found."

Eight billion—this figure was enough to deter the vast majority of people.

Leo didn't hesitate for even a second.

"No problem."

He answered crisply.

"Send me your account details, and I'll transfer it right now."

The other end fell silent again; Kalluto clearly hadn't expected this reaction.

He had intentionally raised the price—four billion per person—thinking he could scare Leo off.

If the other party hesitated, it would mean their financial resources were limited and their strength was likely average.

But Leo... agreed directly.

He agreed so readily and decisively, as if eight billion were just eighty bucks.

A sense of frustration welled up in Kalluto's heart.

'This guy... is quite rich.'

"By the way, do I need to pick you up at your front door?"

There was a hint of teasing in Leo's voice.

Kalluto hesitated for a second and said,

"No need..."

Just as he said those words, he suddenly changed his mind.

"...Wait."

Leo raised an eyebrow.

"Come over here."

Kalluto's voice returned to its flat tone.

"I'll wait for you at my house. You should know the address—my home is very famous."

With that, he hung up the phone.

Leo looked at the "Call Ended" text on his phone screen, somewhat surprised.

'What's this about?'

He shook his head and didn't think much of it.

Since he was going to the Zoldyck Family, he might as well make the trip.

He was indeed quite interested in that Zoldyck Family.

Leo put away his phone, changed direction, and walked toward the Association's airport.

Three days later.

Bartochia Republic, Dentora Region.

The Airship Leo was on landed at the small town closest to Kukuroo Mountain.

It was a typical tourist town, with souvenir shops and restaurants everywhere along the streets, their signs painted with various exaggerated assassin images—some holding knives, some holding guns, and others in fighting stances.

"Zoldyck Family themed tourism" was considered a major local specialty.

Leo walked out of the airport and soon saw a sightseeing bus by the roadside.

He bought a ticket and leisurely boarded the bus.

The bus started, slowly driving out of the town and toward the distant mountain range.

There were about a dozen tourists in the cabin, including young backpackers, middle-aged couples with children, and a pair of couples taking selfies.

The tour guide was a young woman in her twenties, wearing a proper professional suit, holding a microphone, with a professional smile on her face.

"Dear passengers, please look to the left."

The female guide's voice was crisp and pleasant, carrying through the entire cabin via the microphone.

"That is the infamous Kukuroo Mountain, where the Zoldyck Family resides."

The tourists all turned their heads to look out the window.

In the distance, a majestic mountain towered amidst the clouds.

The mountain was dark gray, its lower part covered by dense primeval forest, while the summit was hidden in the mist, appearing and disappearing.

"It is said that their lair is surrounded by a sea of trees, built on an extinct volcano 3,722 meters above sea level."

The female guide continued her introduction.

"No one has seen its true face. The Zoldyck Family has ten members in total: the great-grandfather, grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, and five children—all of whom are assassins."

A chorus of gasps rang out in the cabin.

Leo leaned back in his seat, gazing at the mountain peak that was drawing closer, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly.

'These tour guides are really something.'

He thought to himself.

'Knowing exactly how many people are in the Zoldyck Family is a bit ridiculous.'

The bus continued forward along the winding mountain road.
