An overwhelming force yanked Vaelor forward.
'Shit!'
The chaotic battle had almost made him forget that Zephyrion had acquired other house rune arts. He gritted his teeth, eyes sharpening on Zephyrion.
'Focus. Focus.'
Torso slightly twisted. Arm drawn back, stance lowered. A straight punch aimed at his midsection.
A sharp hum echoed. Metal rapidly formed around Vaelor's stomach, reinforcing it instantly. Then Zephyrion suddenly spun. A sweeping kick whipped toward his head.
"What!?"
Bam!
It crashed into the side of his head, snapping it violently sideways. Concentric circles rippled from the point of impact. Spittle mixed with blood and shattered teeth flew from his mouth as he shot sideways across the arena.
Vaelor's head spun wildly. His vision blurred as he struggled to regain composure.
'Shit, shit, shit. Get a grip!'
