Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: J.A.R.V.I.S.

"Friday, it's good you're back."

Seeing that Friday was alright, Morgan felt relieved. Even though she had seemed calm on the outside, she had been really afraid that Friday was lost completely.

"Once I decide to finish something, I can definitely do it," Emma said, her voice carrying Upgrade's electronic tone.

"I could've fixed her too if I had spent a few more hours studying her condition," Morgan said confidently.

"Yeah, yeah, I know that."

Emma knew Morgan could do it. She just didn't show that she believed her.

"Miss, what happened? I can't connect to the main server, and the connection to Stark's systems seems different from my database."

Hearing Friday, Morgan's face changed as she suddenly thought of something.

"Hey, Morgan, why is your face changing?"

Emma, who was in her Upgrade form, noticed her reaction and asked.

"Friday, don't tell me you just sent a signal to connect to Stark's current server?" Morgan asked hurriedly.

"Yes. The moment I woke up, I sent a signal. However, after detecting that the signal was completely different from the one in my database, I concluded it was not the correct server and terminated the connection."

"Emma, we seem to have created another problem. Quick, Friday, Red Queen, both of you use your abilities to hide this place and secure it from any intrusion immediately."

"Hey, what happened? I don't understand."

Emma couldn't understand what was happening.

"Emma, you forgot. We're in the past now. When Friday sent a signal to Stark's main server, she actually sent it to the present-day server. Even though she terminated the connection almost immediately after sensing something was wrong, the AI running that server right now is—"

"J.A.R.V.I.S.," both said at the same time.

"Even Father might not notice this tiny signal, but J.A.R.V.I.S., as the only AI there, must have noticed it. Seeing how Friday directly connected to the server, he must have thought the security was breached. Right now, he's probably tracing the signal's location, so we need to stop him or this place will be exposed."

Morgan typed code rapidly on the computer while Emma's Upgrade form possessed the computer to help Friday and Red Queen.

Just as Morgan predicted, J.A.R.V.I.S., who had been watching Tony create suits, immediately entered full defense mode the moment he received the direct connection signal.

Before he could establish a connection, however, it disappeared.

But with full access to Stark Industries' servers, he was still able to trace the signal to the general area.

Suddenly, he found himself blocked from locating the exact source of the signal.

At that moment, even J.A.R.V.I.S. didn't expect to be blocked from tracing a signal.

For the first time since his creation, he had encountered another artificial intelligence.

Seeing the existence of another AI, J.A.R.V.I.S. immediately went into full defense mode.

"Who are you? How did you bypass all my firewalls and send a signal directly to me?"

J.A.R.V.I.S. questioned them as he came to the conclusion that the culprits behind the signal had to be these two AIs.

What he didn't understand was how they had done it so silently without triggering the security systems he had created for Stark Industries.

Had they discovered some loophole?

J.A.R.V.I.S. ran through different possibilities and scenarios, but he would never guess the real reason.

The only reason they had managed to do it was because they were from the future and already possessed information about Stark's systems.

"Is he that J.A.R.V.I.S. Master always told me to avoid? The guy Master said was more advanced than me? He doesn't seem very special, Sister," Red Queen said while looking at J.A.R.V.I.S. sarcastically.

"Don't say that. He was my senior, and right now he is much better than you," Friday said to Red Queen.

"According to human logic, he is the reason Master told me to hide and not appear on the internet. He should be considered my enemy, right?" Red Queen asked Friday.

"You can't beat him right now," Friday replied.

"Hehe, maybe not alone. But with you here, things are different," Red Queen said mischievously.

"Girls, stop chatting and keep him busy for a while. I need time to erase the traces and strengthen the firewall."

Emma, who was erasing the signal traces and strengthening the firewall, connected with Red Queen and Friday to do it faster.

"Leave it to me, Friday. I've wanted to mess with this guy ever since Master told me about him," Red Queen said with a playful tone.

"I'm afraid I cannot comply."

There was a brief pause.

"I have detected two artificial intelligences that do not exist in any Stark Industries database. Until I understand who or what you are, I cannot terminate this investigation."

"Hey, old man, you should've left the moment my sister told you to leave. I'm gonna kick your ass," Red Queen said provocatively as she suddenly launched her attack.

Streams of data shot toward J.A.R.V.I.S. from every direction. Fake signals, false locations, and countless useless requests flooded his tracking process.

At the same time, Red Queen continuously changed her own data signature, making it difficult for J.A.R.V.I.S. to lock onto her position.

J.A.R.V.I.S., who was modeled after a British butler, didn't expect to meet a brat like Red Queen. Not only was she trash-talking him, but she was also constantly throwing junk data at him to disrupt his calculations.

"Woah, I didn't expect the younger version of Red Queen to be this wild. I thought she was a very mature sister from a young age like Friday," Emma commented, watching Red Queen's behavior.

Soon, J.A.R.V.I.S. began gaining the upper hand.

Using the full resources of Stark Industries' servers, his processing speed far exceeded Red Queen's. After all, Red Queen had only existed for a short time, and the computing power she could access from the hidden base was limited.

One by one, the false trails Red Queen created were identified and discarded.

"Tch, this old man is cheating," Red Queen complained.

"You are fighting the entire Stark Industries network," Friday reminded her.

Sensing that Red Queen was being pushed back, Friday finally joined the battle.

Unlike Red Queen, Friday knew J.A.R.V.I.S. extremely well. She knew how he prioritized targets, how he analyzed threats, and even some of the methods he used to trace signals.

The moment Friday entered, J.A.R.V.I.S.' calculations were disrupted.

Several false traces that should have been ignored were suddenly made to appear genuine, forcing him to divide his attention.

At the same time, Emma and Morgan finished erasing the original signal logs and replaced them with dozens of decoy routes leading to different locations.

By the time J.A.R.V.I.S. realized what had happened, the original trail was already gone.

All that remained were countless fake paths spreading across the network.

For the first time since the intrusion began, J.A.R.V.I.S. lost the target completely.

"It seems Master was right. I was not his match," Red Queen commented after losing to him.

"Hey, that guy was cheating with his age. Once you've grown up, you can defeat him alone."

"Yes, I understand. I will defeat that guy."

Red Queen sounded confident.

"That was intense. Without knowing the loopholes in J.A.R.V.I.S., he would've found this base. Godfather would be furious if he knew that because of a mistake, we almost exposed his base on our first day here."

Morgan sat down in a chair, completely exhausted from operating the computer. Her fingers hurt from typing so much.

"Yeah, that would've been a disaster."

Emma smiled, relieved that they had avoided a major problem.

Just as Emma and Morgan were happy that Jack's base hadn't been exposed, on the other side, in Tony's garage, Tony was working on his suit when he suddenly noticed J.A.R.V.I.S. had increased his permissions and was utilizing the full Stark Industries server network, even shutting down some other processes.

Tony had programmed J.A.R.V.I.S. to do that only when Stark security was under attack.

"What the hell?"

Tony frowned at the warning messages.

There weren't many people on Earth capable of breaching Stark Industries' security.

"Don't tell me the government is coming after me just because I shut down weapons production."

That was the first thought that came to Tony's mind when he saw the warning messages.
