Chapter 15 - part 15

{Shadows, Memories… and Danger}

Morning came slowly.

Sunlight slipped through the curtains, landing directly on Tyla's eyes.

She frowned in discomfort.

"…ugh…"

A sharp headache hit her instantly, pulsing painfully through her head.

She lifted her hand to her forehead, pressing it lightly.

"Ah… what happened…"

Her eyes slowly opened.

She looked around.

Her room.

At her mom's friend's house.

She froze.

"…How did I get here?"

And then—

A flash.

Lights.

Loud music.

Laughter.

Cold air brushing against her skin.

…and ian.

Close.

Too close.

Her eyes widened instantly.

"…Wait… no way."

She pressed her head harder, trying to remember more.

But—

Nothing clear.

Just a feeling.

His closeness.

Her heartbeat.

"Did I…? No… that's impossible…"

The door suddenly opened.

"Tyla!"

Her mother rushed in.

"You're finally awake! Didn't I tell you not to drink too much? Just a little!"

Her tone carried light scolding… but also worry.

Tyla lowered her gaze slightly, speaking softly:

"I'm sorry, Mom… I didn't mean to…"

Then quickly looked up.

"But… how did I get back? I don't remember…"

Her mother sighed and sat beside her.

"ian brought you."

Tyla froze.

"…Ian ?"

"You were very drunk. You started dancing, and then a man tried to get close to you…"

Her expression tightened.

"What?!"

"But ian stepped in. He protected you. Then security came in and he helps you get out of from the place."

She paused.

"When he took you home, we weren't there… I was at the police station with Mrs. Park, as you know

She continued calmly:

"So… he took you to his house. Then meanwhile I go back to the club after the police station but I don't find you so I call you but he answered i and I came to pick you up."

Tyla went silent.

Then—

She threw herself dramatically onto the bed.

"Ugh…"

She let out a deep sigh.

"I don't remember anything…"

"Come on, get up. Let's eat."

Tyla asked suddenly:

"Mrs. Park… is she okay?"

"Yes, she's fine. Just a minor car accident."

"…Okay…"

But her mind…

Wasn't here.

It was stuck in those flashes.

Ian.

So close.

Elsewhere…

Ian hadn't slept.

Not even for a minute.

He sat in his kitchen, holding a cup of coffee.

But his eyes…

Weren't on it.

They were lost.

In his thoughts.

The scene kept replaying.

Her closeness.

Her breath.

Her lips.

That kiss.

His grip tightened slightly on the cup.

"Why… won't it leave my head?"

He closed his eyes for a moment.

"…Am I going insane?"

Silence.

"…Is it possible that I…"

He stopped.

Slowly opened his eyes.

"…like her?"

His jaw tightened immediately.

"No."

His voice turned sharp.

"That's impossible."

He stood up.

"She can't enter my world."

His voice lowered.

"She's innocent…"

"…and my life…"

His expression hardened. is full of danger and ..."

Suddenly—

His phone rang.

He glanced at the screen.

Doo Hwan

He exhaled, then answered:

"…Hello."

"How are you, little brother?"

His expression softened slightly.

"I'm good… what about you?"

"Better now. I'm arriving in Korea today."

Ian paused—

Then a real, faint smile appeared.

"Really? Hyung… I missed you."

"Me too. Wait for me."

"I will."

The call ended.

Ian stared ahead.

"…Finally."

Far away…

In Singapore.

A man stood in front of a massive glass window.

His eyes were dark.

Cold.

yes Gong Nam Min boss . a bodyguard man say

"…Where is he?" gong nam min say

His voice was low… but terrifying.

The man in front of him trembled.

"We don't know yet, sir…"

A glass cup suddenly shattered against the wall.

"Find him!"

His voice was sharp and deadly.

"Or I'll hang your corpse instead."

The guard bowed immediately.

"Yes… sir…"

Then—

Gong smiled.

Slow.

Disturbing.

"…And Tyla."

His tone shifted.

Darker.

"I warned her many times… to stay away from him."

A quiet, twisted chuckle.

"But she didn't."

His eyes darkened even more.

"…I'll destroy her."

A pause.

"…I'll destroy everything… that makes ian happy."

Back in Korea…

Kim doo Hwan had returned.

The older brother.

The only family Ian had left…

After their parents died.

The door opened—

And before ian could even react Doo Hwan hug him

"…Hyung?"

His eyes widened for a split second… then softened instantly.

"doo Hwan …"

Without hesitation, ian rushed forward, pulling his older brother into a tight embrace.

A real one.

Not the cold, distant kind he gave everyone else… But the kind filled with warmth,

"I missed you… my little brother," Doo Hwan said quietly, his voice carrying both strength and affection.

Ian smiled against his shoulder, something rare and genuine lighting up his face.

"I missed you too."

They pulled away, but the comfort didn't fade. It never did between them.

Moments later, they were inside, sitting across from each other—talking, laughing, catching up on everything that had been left unsaid.

Because for ian… Doo Hwan wasn't just a brother.

He was everything.

The only person he trusted enough… to tell everything in his messy dangerous world.

And he did.

"…And like I told you, Doo Hwan," Ian said, running a hand through his hair, his tone quieter now, uncertain, "Is it possible… that I love her?"

Silence filled the room for a second.

Then—

"Of course."

Ian blinked, caught off guard.

"…What?"

"I'm not joking," Doo Hwan said simply, his voice calm, honest—too honest. "You love her. It's obvious."

Ian let out a short scoff, shaking his head.

"Stop messing with me."

"I'm not."

That made him pause.

Doo Hwan leaned forward slightly, his gaze serious now.

"Don't let our dangers life ruin this, ian. Love like this doesn't come twice." "…Love Tyla. Stay by her side. Protect her. Don't push her away."

Ian didn't respond.

He just stared ahead…

Thinking.

Absorbing every word.

"You're strong," don't forget how really you are Doo Hwan added softly. "You can do this."

And for the first time…

Ian actually believed it.

Outside…

Tyla walked down the street beside han Seoul her mother s friend s daughter, laughing lightly, the sunlight brushing against her face.

And then—

She saw him.

Standing right in front of his house .

Headphones on his ears phone in his hand

"ian !"

She waved, walking toward him with a bright smile.

"Hi… I'm sorry about yesterday," she said, letting out a small embarrassed laugh. "I think I got a little… carried away."

Ian watched her carefully.

Studying her face.

She is so cute and beautiful just like an angel .

"…Tyla," he said slowly, stepping closer, "Don't you remember what you did? What do you remember ? "

She blinked.

"Did what?"

"My mom told me I drank too much, danced someone try to touch me and you protect me …" she shrugged innocently, "…and you brought me home."

She tilted her head.

"Was there something else?"

And that's when he realized—

She doesn't remember.

Not the closeness. Not the moment.

Not the kiss.

A slow… mischievous smile spread across his lips.

He let out a quiet chuckle.

"No… nothing else."

"Oh… okay," she said, relieved, then smiled softly. "I'm sorry again… for dancing like that and make a mess ."

She waved lightly and walked away.

Ian stood there, watching her leave…

Then laughed under his breath,
