A few minutes passed, and the two finally rose to their feet.
Rudy had his usual impassive expression while Sera was frowning at the remark he had made.
Kalien stepped closer and said, "What should we do now?"
He and Rudy turned their gaze to Sera.
She pointed toward the front and replied, "We have to go deeper in the city."
"Let's go then," Rudy added as he stepped forward.
"Shouldn't Lady Sera walk at the front? She knows the way because of her prophetic dreams, no?" Kalien suggested while peeking at Sera from the corner of his left eye.
Rudy kept walking and answered rather flatly, "I can see in the dark."
"What?" Kalien muttered, and Sera glanced at Rudy's back.
His obsidian armor gleamed under the serene moonlight, and his towering figure shed shadow that reached them.
A moment later, both of them finished whatever thoughts they had and followed behind him.
