Sienna had to give credit to the king for keeping them entertained through breakfast. It all started when he snatched the position of head of the family, sitting firmly in Elias's chair. His eyes had dared Elias to do something about it. The kings smile had been provocative. It had taken everything in Elias to hold back from hitting the man.
When that failed, the king decided to tell funny stories about Elias from the battlefield, making them laugh. All the while, the royal couple had devoured their meal with the greed of people who were starved in the palace!
When the king finished his last bite, he leaned back, burped thunderously and declared it was time to go.
"Treating my home like a restaurant." Sienna muttered.
The queen dabbed her lips delicately, already rising. "Splendid as always, Sienna. We will be back next week."
Sienna blinked, confused. Back? Where? Were they returning for breakfast again? But before she could ask, the royal entourage swept out.
