Hours seemed to pass in minutes. Sienna wanted to go outside and join the fight. It seemed so cowardly to hide inside when she had mental strength. But ultimately, the safety of the children mattered more than any desire to show how powerful she was.
Outside, the last thief was subdued, chained and dragged before Elias. The dead thieves were piled next to the ones who had survived with their lives. The compound lay battered, some plants in the garden were destroyed, but most things were intact. The bees were still buzzing angrily. Most of the thieves that died had ended up in that condition because of bee venom.
The door was opened, and Elias stepped into the room. There were drops of blood on his white pajamas. He was barefoot, but otherwise, pristine as always. Not one hair was out of place. His expression was grim.
"Is it over?" Sienna asked him.
He nodded, "Six groups of thieves in total."
