At around noon, Sienna and Ali were settling on bed for their scheduled nap when a loud shout from outside startled them.
"Sienna Miller, come out here now!"
Sienna frowned. She looked at Ali who was shifting, to run out ahead of her. In a commanding tone, she said to the little one, "Stay here and sleep, I will see what this is about."
That was not the kind of voice someone used when they were looking for peace. Obviously, whoever had come, was looking for trouble.
Ali nodded, laid down properly and closed her eyes.
Sienna walked out, meeting her mother in the living room. Mrs. Miller was from settling Suri and Mira down for the same midday nap, having been convinced by Sienna that these naps were good for growing children.
"Don't go out just yet, I will take a look first." She ordered Sienna, her tone as commanding as the one Sienna had used on Ali. "I will come and fetch you if it is a serious issue."
So, Sienna walked back upstairs to join Ali on the bed.
