'What the hell just happened?'
Ruvian's eyes moved quickly as he tried to figure out what had just happened.
He was looking for the missing factor, the unknown variable that changed the situation. After checking everything, he confirmed that none of them were the one who delivered that attack to Ardyn.
His gaze flicked toward Delila, who had remained composed through the entire duel, but now… now her smile was gone, replaced by a feeling far more jarring.
She looked stunned.
But she wasn't looking at Ardyn.
Her gaze had shifted forward, toward the front of the hall, where the heavy doors had been left half-open.
Then came the footsteps, entering the hall.
A woman dressed in the silver-and-black of a senior instructor's attire. Even if she was not wearing her uniform, everyone could still tell that she was someone with great authority.
The pressure she gave off made it clear.
Ruvian recognised her vividly.
