"Hurry! Towards Nico's study!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The chaos outside was still evident, as were the booming sounds echoing through the mansion. The pounding on the door was loud enough for me to know they were close to making their way inside.
"His study? Why?" Vanessa screamed back, tears still streaking down her face as she looked at me with confusion.
Martin had the same look, but he seemed to understand more than she did. He had listened to my call with Nico and heard me asking for the password.
"Hurry!" was all he shouted at Vanessa, who still looked unconvinced.
"We should be heading towards the back door," she began. "If we move fast enough, we might be able to make our way out of the mansion and into another part of the estate."
"It's big enough for us to hide in," she added, looking at me with a question in her eyes.
One I had no intention of answering.
Instead, I headed upstairs and straight into Nico's room.
