Chapter 105 - The Headquarters Is Safer

Xia Feng snapped his fingers lightly. "If you don't want to die, then cooperate with Tamayo's research. Once it's complete… I might consider sparing your life."

Yahaba swallowed hard, glancing at Tamayo and Yushiro standing nearby.

"…Alright. I agree. But you better keep your word."

Xia Feng smiled. "Don't worry. I'm a man of my word."

He brought Yahaba in front of Tamayo and explained that the Demon had agreed to assist in her research.

But Tamayo shook her head.

"If we need research material, it must be a higher-level Demon. This one… won't be of much use."

Xia Feng blinked in realization. "I see. Got it."

A flash of his Nichirin Blade—

Yahaba's head was severed instantly.

His eyes widened in terror. "Didn't you say you'd spare me?!"

"I did," Xia Feng replied casually. "But that was on the condition that you'd be useful as research material. Since you're not… I didn't lie."

He even smiled as he explained it.

Yahaba's face twisted in fury. "You liar!!!"

Moments later—

He vanished into ash.

Xia Feng turned back to Tamayo.

She, however, was staring at the wrecked house around them.

She had believed her hiding place was secure—

Yet Muzan's subordinates had still found her.

And not just any Demons—

Strong ones.

If Xia Feng hadn't been here by coincidence…

She and Yushiro would have surely died.

Xia Feng glanced around. "Looks like this place isn't safe anymore. His Blood Demon Art can't conceal your presence well enough."

Yushiro clenched his teeth, unwilling to admit it—

But he knew Xia Feng was right.

And now—

He had truly witnessed the strength of the man who killed Upper Rank Two.

It was absurdly overwhelming.

When Xia Feng made his move earlier—

He couldn't even see it clearly.

By the time he reacted—

The blade was already sheathed.

Tamayo looked at Yushiro gently. "Even if there are flaws in his Blood Demon Art, this child has done his best."

Xia Feng nodded. "I didn't say he hasn't. But Blood Demon Arts ultimately originate from Muzan. If Muzan wants to break them… it's easy."

He clapped his hands lightly.

"But—I've thought of a good solution to your current problem."

Tamayo looked at him curiously.

"And it'll also give you plenty of research material."

She grew even more puzzled.

Xia Feng grinned. "Come back to headquarters with me. Nezuko is already there—so it shouldn't be a problem for you two either."

Tamayo's eyes widened.

That suggestion was… shocking.

Two Demons—

Entering the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps?

That was equivalent to revealing their most secret location to Demons.

If she were secretly on Muzan's side—

The consequences would be disastrous.

This man…

Was unbelievably bold.

Xia Feng looked at her calmly. "I think it's a pretty smart solution. At headquarters, no Demon will be able to trouble you. And any materials you need—I can have the Corps gather them for you."

Tamayo covered her mouth slightly in surprise.

After a long moment, she finally spoke, "Are you truly serious? Your headquarters is extremely well-hidden. If its location is exposed… the Demon Slayer Corps would be finished."

Her beautiful eyes were calm, yet searching.

Xia Feng's tone remained firm. "Isn't that normal? Go on—pack your things. You have half an hour. It's still before dawn."

Seeing that he wasn't joking—

Tamayo turned and went inside.

About ten minutes later, she returned.

Yushiro stood beside her, carrying a large leather case.

"I've packed what I need. The rest… I'll have to retrieve later."

Tamayo smiled softly.

Xia Feng nodded and led them out.

Then, as if remembering something, he turned to her.

"By the way—there have been reports of missing people in this city. Do you know anything about it?"

Tamayo thought for a moment, then shook her head. "I only heard about it recently. But I suspect another Demon is responsible."

"Same here," Xia Feng said. "But we don't know which one yet."

He sighed inwardly.

Without knowing the Demon's location, searching such a large city would take far too long.

Better to leave it to other Demon Slayer Corps members.

After all—

He had already eliminated the stronger threats.

The rest were likely just minor Demons.

Just as they stepped onto the street—

A scream rang out.

Xia Feng's expression sharpened as he turned toward the sound.

In the crowd—

A Demon had pounced on a woman.

Its teeth tore into her shoulder, ripping flesh away.

Panic erupted instantly.

People fled in all directions—

No one dared approach.

No one tried to help the fallen woman.

No one confronted the frenzied Demon.

In the next moment—

Xia Feng appeared before it.

A single slash—

And the Demon's head fell.

Instant kill.

The woman lay on the ground, barely breathing.

Tamayo rushed forward, immediately administering emergency treatment.

After some effort—

Her life was saved.

Just then—

Two police officers rushed over, their expressions wary.

Their eyes locked onto Xia Feng's blade.

"What just happened here?" one of them demanded sternly.

Xia Feng smiled faintly. "If I told you that was a Demon… would you believe me?"

The officers' expressions darkened.

"You think this is a joke?!"

But before they could continue—

They froze.

Because—

Xia Feng had vanished.

In the next instant—

Both men felt a sharp pain at the back of their necks—

And collapsed unconscious.

Xia Feng reappeared beside Tamayo, shrugging lightly. "Sometimes… you need special methods to avoid unnecessary trouble."

Tamayo smiled gently in understanding.

But at that moment—

Another scream echoed from the distance.
