On the Grand Line, when one only knows one direction, it is basically impossible to accurately find a sailing ship by following a single course.
The sea is vast, the heavens and earth are one color; if one relies only on the naked eye to discern direction, even a slight deviation in the path traveled will result in being separated from the target by thousands of miles.
In this Grand Line, which is permeated with magnetism, the tools used to discern direction based on magnetic force are useless.
And the log pose only points toward the next island according to the Grand Line's route; it will not arbitrarily point to nearby islands; only special compasses can achieve that.
Raiden Ei naturally didn't need such trouble; having eaten the Goro Goro no Mi, she herself was now the source of lightning, making it relatively easy to find the correct route.
Although there was still a long way to go before completely mastering the Goro Goro no Mi, she could still sense the direction of the route and the location of nearby islands based on the magnetic field changes of the Grand Line.
This was something she figured out after coming down from the Sky Island, spending one night distinguishing it; otherwise, at her current speed, she would have long reached the Calm Belt and found a suitable island to train on.
Returning to the present, Raiden Ei pursued the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group at a speed far exceeding that of sea travel. She wasn't worried that the old man had lied; there was no need for that, and besides, he wouldn't dare.
Purple lightning violently tore through the air ahead, gliding across the azure sky like a streak of light, stirring up gusts of air.
At Raiden Ei's extremely fast speed, she caught up to the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group in less than two hours. Her Observation Haki swept across the sailing pirate ship.
In an instant, she understood the situation aboard the pirate ship, and without hesitation, she descended directly onto it.
The sky was clear, and the sunlight shone unobstructed upon the sailing pirate ship. The huge sails were billowed out by the wind, identical to the terrifying skull on them and the flag planted on the mast.
"Hey, Joss, today is a rare good day, why are you so listless?" A man standing by the ship's railing nudged another lean, drowsy man next to him with his elbow.
Joss let out a big yawn before helplessly saying to the person beside him, "Ah, don't mention it. Although things have been smooth these past two days, it's still exhausting."
Brock withdrew his gaze from the sea and turned to Joss, but he felt no sympathy for him; instead, he advised, "Haha, you should be laughing with joy over such good fortune!"
"Something like this doesn't happen every time. You haven't been on board for two months yet; you haven't experienced the terror of an entire crew being reduced to just a few people. Cherish this wonderful journey at sea!"
Joss shuddered, and even his drowsiness vanished. He quickly said, "I don't want to experience something like that; I haven't lived enough yet!"
Brock laughed, "Heh heh, that's not up to you. Sometimes, when a knife is at your throat, you have to risk your life. After all, for us, accidents are always omnipresent."
Joss didn't know how he would react if what Brock mentioned actually happened, so he changed the subject, saying, "We'll worry about that when the time comes! We captured so many people yesterday; where are we going to sell them?"
Brock didn't force others to heed his sermon; lives were their own, and the sea was full of ignorant and fearless people. "It should be Sparrow Saint Island. The price is a bit higher there, so the Berries we get can allow us to live comfortably for a few days."
Joss nodded. Selling civilians captured as Slaves was something he hadn't experienced yet and wasn't familiar with. They usually just plundered ships they encountered; he didn't feel anything wrong with this matter.
He said without much hope, "With this many crew members divided up, how many Berries will we get? Don't let it be like when we looted that passing Pirate Crew before, where we only got a tiny amount of Berries."
Brock looked like he had experience, proudly saying, "Slaves aren't calculated that way. Relax about catching so many people this time! The Berries we get will definitely be more than what we got before."
"That's good..." Joss was about to say something more, but he inadvertently spotted a streak of purple light flying toward them in the distant sky. He quickly warned Brock, "Brock, look quickly! What is that?"
Brock looked curiously in the direction Joss pointed. He was also stunned when he saw it, "What is this? A shooting star?"
As time passed, in less than a moment, the purple streak of light was getting closer and closer to them. It changed from a small dot to a light visible to the naked eye. Only then did Brock react.
It was heading straight for them. Looking at its speed, it would crash into them soon. He didn't know what it was yet, but he had to notify the Captain immediately.
Brock's expression changed from the bewilderment when he saw the shooting star to solemnity. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, he immediately turned and ran toward the cabin, reminding Joss as he ran:
"Joss, something is wrong. Go notify the brothers; I'm going to tell the Captain."
Joss saw Brock's expression and knew the situation was serious. Not daring to delay, he quickly went to notify the pirates on the ship.
While the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group was thrown into turmoil by Raiden Ei's appearance, she had already crossed the distance between them at an extremely fast speed, arriving above the pirate ship.
"Zzzzzz!"
The semicircular purple lightning completely dissipated. Raiden Ei appeared in the air holding Little Elysia, but their figures did not stop in the air; instead, they fell toward the pirate ship via freefall.
The low-ranking pirates who saw this scene on the deck were all dumbfounded. After a while, they reacted, realizing this was not an enemy they could handle, and then retreated in terror, holding their weapons.
"Click!"
"Little Elysia, we're here!" Raiden Ei landed steadily on the deck from the air and said to Little Elysia, who was still in her arms, casually setting her down on the deck as well.
Little Elysia, small as she was, stood beside Raiden Ei, her eyes still curiously looking at the surrounding pirates. She was draped in a black short cloak that could cover her entire body, making her look extremely petite and cute.
"Are these the bad guys who captured everyone from the Orphanage?" Little Elysia wasn't afraid of being stared at by the surrounding pirates; she leaned against Raiden Ei's leg and asked curiously.
Raiden Ei glanced at the pirates gathering toward them, not paying much attention to these underlings, and continued answering Little Elysia's question.
"Yes, they are the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group. Everyone from the Orphanage should be locked in the ship's hold. Little Elysia, after I defeat them, you can see them."
"Really! I can see Mama Morby and everyone from the Orphanage~~" Little Elysia's face broke into a happy smile, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Raiden Ei, momentarily forgetting the ferocious pirates surrounding them.
Raiden Ei bent down and stroked Little Elysia's small head, then said, "Mm! But Little Elysia needs to stay here obediently and not run around, understand! After I take care of all of them, I'll take you to find everyone from the Orphanage."
Only then did Little Elysia notice the pirates who had already surrounded them. Although she was confident in Raiden Ei's strength, with so many of them, she still said worriedly, "Sister Ei~~~"
Raiden Ei could see the overflowing worry in Little Elysia's eyes at a glance and said directly, "They are nothing but small fry, don't worry!"
In the short time Raiden Ei landed on the deck, the entire Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group had arrived on deck. With their large numbers, the members of the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group let go of their fear. With so many brothers present, what was there to fear!
They began to act recklessly, menacingly brandishing their weapons, ready for a big fight, their eyes greedily fixed on Raiden Ei and Little Elysia, all waiting for the Captain's order to capture them in one go.
Leading them was a muscular man covered in muscle. His rugged face showed an exceptionally fierce gaze. Long whiskers covered the lower half of his face. He wore a black Captain's hat and a black trench coat printed with a skull, holding a spiked mace in his hand.
He was the Captain of the Tyrannosaurus Pirate Group, the cannibal Daggre, with a bounty of seventy-three million Berries.
Daggre stared fiercely at Raiden Ei and Little Elysia. Did they not give him any respect at all? He slammed the mace in his hand down heavily.
"Bang!" The immense force caused the mace to smash a large hole directly in the deck.
The huge sound caused everyone on deck to look toward Daggre, including Raiden Ei. He then spoke, "Woman, aren't you being too arrogant! You dare not put me, the cannibal, in your eyes? Believe it or not, I'll kill you!"
Raiden Ei withdrew her gaze to look at Little Elysia and, finding that she wasn't frightened, spoke gently to her, "Little Elysia, don't be afraid; it will be fine in a moment."
Little Elysia also knew this wasn't the time to talk. She nodded and obediently hid behind Raiden Ei, only poking her little head out to look at the surrounding pirates.
Raiden Ei shifted her gaze back to Daggre, who was at the forefront, and spoke in a tone completely different from how she spoke to Little Elysia, "Oh? They are just a bunch of small fry. How much respect do you expect from me? Should I grant you a sword strike!"
The rage in Daggre's chest was instantly ignited. With a "crack," he yanked the mace out of the hole it was stuck in, raised the mace, and prepared to fight Raiden Ei to the death.
"Bastard, you're asking for death!"
