Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Counterfeit Goods?

Beneath the boundless sea level, there is an unfathomable seabed. The deeper one dives, the greater the water pressure felt. It is almost completely dark down there, so quiet that no sound can be heard—only the surge of the currents and the occasional Marine life can be sensed.

This was the second time Raiden Ei had to flee underwater. Thinking about it, it was quite pathetic. In just a few days, she had been forced to begin her life on the run. It was all those trashy Celestial Dragons' fault.

She was truly furious. Just for killing one Celestial Dragon, she had inexplicably attracted an Admiral, and the key point was that she couldn't defeat him right now. In the future, she would kill every Celestial Dragon she saw. Let's see what the World Government could do besides relentlessly pursuing her.

The most urgent matter now was to first shake off the pursuit of the World Government and the Marines. She couldn't let them catch up again. If it were just some shrimp soldiers and crab generals, it would be fine, but if those troublesome figures appeared, she really wouldn't be able to escape.

Raiden Ei's figure moved rapidly along the seabed. By stomping on the water with her feet, she could cover a considerable distance in an instant. This was somewhat her application of Geppo in the sea!

Her expression underwater remained placid, showing no signs of anger. However, the slight puffing of her cheeks revealed that she was definitely stewing in her frustration. As she passed by a small fish, she noticed it.

Raiden Ei's purple eyes looked at the fish as it swam past her. Suddenly, she blew a bubble towards it. The fish was startled and instantly darted away.

Seeing such an amusing scene lifted her spirits slightly, and the corners of her mouth curved upwards. She stopped thinking about other matters and continued swimming forward.

Her long purple braid hung down her back, swaying in the seawater along with her short cape as she moved. Her white shirt, soaked through, appeared faintly visible, and her long white legs occasionally stomped on the water to propel her forward. Her figure was like that of a mermaid.

As Raiden Ei was swiftly traversing the sea, she suddenly saw a massive sea beast rapidly lunging towards her, ready to bite. Its open maw alone was large enough to swallow her whole.

Raiden Ei stopped her forward momentum, floating entirely in the water. She looked at the shark-shaped sea beast with its sharp, pointed teeth and silently took out the demon blade from her system backpack.

As the sea beast moved, it stirred up strong currents that startled and chased away all the nearby Marine life. In a short distance, it quickly arrived and lunged at Raiden Ei.

"Swish!" A slash suddenly appeared just as the sea beast reached her, instantly cutting the beast that was lunging at Raiden Ei in half. Lifeless, it began sinking into the deep sea.

Blood mixed with seawater instantly stained the surroundings. Raiden Ei didn't want to be splattered with blood. She stomped on the water and shot towards the sea surface. In just a few breaths, she was close to the surface.

"Splash!" Her entire figure burst out of the sea, stepping on the air and standing steadily above. Her clothes and hair clung tightly to her skin, outlining her curvaceous figure, and seawater was still dripping off her.

Raiden Ei scanned the surroundings in the air. She found no one on the boundless sea surface. She let out a breath of relief, sheathed the demon blade, and used her hand to tidy the hair that had stuck to her cheek: "No one here. I can finally rest for a bit."

She took out the raft she had made previously from her system backpack and tossed it directly onto the sea surface. With a "bang," a large wave splashed up, and she landed steadily on the raft from the air.

Raiden Ei stretched her limbs. Having her clothes stuck to her body was uncomfortable, but she could only endure it for now. There were no conditions to change clothes right now! Simply having a place to land and rest was already quite fortunate.

She casually tidied her clothes. Feeling slightly better, she took out food from her system backpack. After thinking for a moment, she took out two wooden buckets filled with water from the backpack and placed them on the raft to use as stools before sitting down to enjoy her meal.

She didn't actually have much good food—just fruit and the desserts she had packed earlier.

Raiden Ei ate fruit to replenish her energy while mentally opening the system panel.

energy conversion system

Initial Panel:

Energy: 2058

Raiden Ei

Age: 0

Constitution: 6 + (50000)

Armament Haki: 5 + (20000)

Observation Haki: 5 + (20000)

Conqueror's Haki: 2 + (50000)

Backpack: Kusanagi no Inabikari (10927), demon blade zanmian (3450), Devil Fruit x 3 (14000), Hengkitari Corpse (2546), log pose, Marine (213), Clothes, Fruit, Books, Wooden Buckets, Miscellaneous Items

"Ugh... Let me see. Armament Haki and Observation Haki have both reached level 5? No wonder I've gotten much stronger."

"The Ancient Species Devil Fruit is actually worth 6000 energy points. Is this calculated based on rarity? One is worth two regular Devil Fruits."

"That CP's corpse is worth over 2000 energy. That's almost the equivalent of one Devil Fruit. Does that mean the stronger the person, the more energy they yield? Should I start hunting the strong like Blackbeard in the future?"

Raiden Ei shuddered thinking about that scenario. "Forget it. It's not like there aren't other ways to obtain energy."

She took out the log pose from her backpack. She hadn't checked this one yet. As soon as she got her hands on it, the CP agents showed up. If her strength hadn't been sufficient, she might have died horribly!

She had taken a huge risk for this item. If it turned out to be a fake or broken, she would have suffered a huge loss.

"Huh? Why is this pointer moving randomly? I remember reading in the anime that the pointer should be fixed in one direction. Could this really be a fake log pose?"

Raiden Ei was a bit speechless, listlessly eating the fruit. The log pose she had gone to such great lengths to acquire might be fake. How could she possibly find another log pose now?

"Do I have to force my way into the Grand Line? It's not impossible, but going back to Loguetown now is out of the question. The Marines must have heavily ambushed it there; going would mean certain death."

A resolute look appeared in Raiden Ei's purple eyes.

"It's not certain that the log pose is fake yet. Maybe it's because we are too far from the Grand Line and there's no signal? Or maybe the log pose only works once we enter the Grand Line?"

Raiden Ei put the log pose back into her system backpack. She hadn't seen any other log poses, so holding onto it was useless for now. She would test it once she reached the Grand Line.

She shifted her consciousness back to the system panel and directly converted Hengkitari's corpse into energy. At this moment, she couldn't afford to pass up such a large amount of energy. Disposing of him in the sea might pollute the environment; it was better for him to contribute to her instead.
