The reflected version of me staring back from the mirror had to be someone else. I turned towards Cherry with a look of utter disgust then turned back to myself.
"No," I said, firmly.
"You're right you should be in the mint one," Cherry nodded sagely, holding out a mint green monstrosity of lace and frills. She pressed it against my chest and beamed up at me.
I shook my head.
"Eight hundred dollars, upfront."
I nodded and took the dress from her. I ducked back behind the curtain serving as the changing room door. There was a thin mirror inside the changing room as well. My reflection stared back at me, betrayed, as I shirked the lilac dress, stockings, and hair piece.
