Moonlight shines through the trees. Multiple trunks are sliced clean in half vertically... Split with sharp precision. Aris stands in the center, breathing heavy. Sweat trailing down his face, eyes sharp. (internal): "So.. red-cherry really has a technique now..?? its probably weak." *BVVT!* his infinity line erupts from his blade hilt outward, piercing through seven trees in a straight path. Wood exploding apart, leaves scattering. He exhales.. "idiot."
(scene: tetsukan.)
Inside Testukan, Ban sits at the table reading a book. Makimi sweeps quietly, Yobi wiping down the counter with swift energy. Then- Kai appears walking down the stairs. "Alright, im heading out now!" Makimi smiles "Be safe with your training! don't go overworking yourself!" Yobi pumps his fist "get pumped young one!!" Kai smirks, putting a thumb up "You got it!" *ding!* the door closes behind him.. And then the silence lingers. Makimi exhales. Ban: "A problem..?" Makimi rubs her head "First that boy was out with kisame gajo.. Then captain's out all night last night.. Those boys." She smirks faintly. Yobi slams the counter in excitement. "Don't you see it!? The ripping seed of rivalry!! Our captain will not be bested by Kai. But Kai's goal is to go to sector 1.. which requires just that." Ban smirks "That idiot could never be stronger than Captain Aris though." Yobi nods, agreeing. Makimi shrugs "I dunno.. You never know what could happen."
(scene: sector 4 roads.)
Meanwhile, Kai jogs through the Testukan territory, turning corners, cutting through alleyways, jumping gates, moving through sector 4 with confidence now. Eventually, he crosses into Dragon territory.. Graffiti covers the walls, A white flag hangs from brick, A red dragon painted across it. Kai smirks at it "Testukan should get a flag." He keeps walking, arriving at a rusty old warehouse. Two boys wait inside.. One with messy black hair, distant black eyes Enter: "Meguna". beside him- flattened black hair, strange glowing purple eyes, a dragon mark on his neck. Enter: "Kosuke." both wear Dragon uniform, crests on their backs. Kai (narration): "It was my first time meeting Dragon members.. They're tough.. i can feel it." Meguna narrows his eyes "You must be the boy sensei told us to look out for." Kai nods "Yeah. I'm here for the captain." Meguna turns to kosuke "I'm gonna take 'em down. You stay here." kosuke nods without a word. Kai stiffens "T-take me down!?" Meguna gestures "Lets go, kid." He opens a latch in the warehouse floor.. Kai's eyes widen.. but he follows.
They descend dim-lit stairs.. Sweat sliding down Kai's face. They reach the bottom, walking through clean, white and narrow halls. Kai looks around "What.. is this place..?" Meguna shrugs "If i'm being honest.. i don't know myself. Its our base now, but i never knew about the origins of this place." Kai deadpans "And you never thought to ask about it..?" Meguna glances back.. the two sharing an awkward look. Meguna stops "Here's the door." He walks off. Kai smirks "Thank you!" *knock, knock* A voice calls from inside "Come on in!" Kai pushes open the door.
Inside, the room is large. Couches align the walls, a long table sits at the center, papers scattered everywhere. Gajo lounges on a white couch, leaning back with his feet kicked up casually. Rangako sits beside him. Kai lights up "WOAH ITS THE GIRL FROM THE TOURNAMENT!" Gajo smirks "Yeah! This is one of my students, Rangako." Rangako looks away, expression unreadable. Gajo smirks warmly "Come on Rangako! You two are now student siblings! Which means you should get along." Rangako recoils "GET ALONG WITH SOME WEAK BOY!? YEAH RIGHT! i had to work so hard for you to train me! But him!? You give him anything he wants!" Gajo puffs out his lips "i dunno whatcha mean." Kai scratches his cheek "heh.. is this a bad time..?" Rangako rolls her eyes, Gajo just waves it off. "Not at all, bud." He stands up, wrapping his arm around Kai's shoulder. "Well, how you liking the place!?" Kai: "Its real cool... And super hidden! Nobody can find this base!" Gajo nods "Exactly!" He sits back down. Kai's eyes drift downward.. at the papers scattered on the table. one catches his attention- reading: "CAPTAIN OF MANJI: HAGA." A picture attached under an article. Kai's eyes widen "that's him then.. huh?" Gajo nods "yep. the leader of manji." The two lock eyes. sharing the same thought inside "the enemy."
