Several days passed, Long Yuzhou and Yan Jiuheng totally immersed their concentration on the business but with different motives. After LiuZhong left, Yan Jiuheng didn't appoint another assistant for him. This made him responsible for everything, increasing his workload which he greatly accepted without any regret. It somehow helped him stop worrying about Liu Zhong's safety but not entirely. Every time he returns home at night, he could feel the lack of warmth his home usually had before. He hated this feeling of being alone in the cold so he stopped returning back home and started working overtime.
Long Yuzhou, who was told not to meet again, was having a mood swing and sour temper. He was like a ticking bomb, ready to blast in the slightest trigger. This made the employees in his Corporation fear getting near him and were on tiptoes, working carefully not to trigger their boss's foul temper. So many rumors started inside Long Corporation regarding the current temper of their boss. Few said it might be heartbreak or lover's quarrel while few disagreed on it saying it's just the pressure of the recent joint merger with their opposition Conglomerate. Many speculations were made but no one knew what really happened that made their composed boss lose his temper.
Zhu Lian was unbothered by the recent bad temper of Long Yuzhou and views this as her opportunity to become a part of his life. She tries her best to stick to him as she's now in-charge of the new merger. Long Yuzhou didn't find anything unusual with Zhu Lian's behaviour as he's entirely concentrated on the new merger with Heng Enterprise.
It's a clear sunny day outside but not in Long Corporation. A strom was brewing inside as Long Yuzhou entered, leaving his employees on tenterhooks. The only sound in the hallway was the steady clacking of his leather soles against the cold tiled floor. Zhu Lian was the only one to rush to his side, greeting him with a smile. Her black V-neck wrap dress exudes an authoritative aura while emphasizing her allure as she follows Long Yuzhou to his cabin.
Once inside the cabin, Long Yuzhou sat in his place, looking at his system which showed some data. Zhu Lian stood before him, waiting for him to finish with the usual work before she started. After consolidating the data, he looked up towards Zhu Lian, asking in a guttural tone.
"Ms. Lian, why are you still here? Don't you need to follow up on the new merger?"
Zhu Lian didn't hesitate as she said in a sultry tone,
"Mr. Long, you have been in a black mood for a while that you forgot you need to attend the party organised to celebrate the new merger tomorrow evening."
She moved closer to the table, putting the invitation there suggesting,
"The party starts at 6 pm and needs a partner to attend it. As the project's lead, can I accompany you if you hadn't chosen anyone to accompany you?"
Long Yuzhou kept looking at the invitation with some thoughts totally ignoring the perfect cleavage that Zhu Lian was trying to show off. After a bit of thoughts, he took the invitation saying
"Ms. Lian, I know you got your own invitation for the party so don't bother with who I might bring with me. I can take care of it on my own so just focus on your part of the job. I don't advise anyone to be nosy about my business. I hope you know it well."
With that Long Yuzhou walked away with the invitation tucked away in his coat, leaving Zhu Lian alone in his cabin. Zhu Lian's smile disappeared as soon as the door shut with a loud bang. Her lips turned into a thin line as her hands gripped the desk as her knuckles turned white, cracking loudly. She laughed maniacally as she uttered in a low voice.
"Why?! Why can't you look in my way? Am I that insignificant to you? Let's see who you will bring along tonight. Let me see if you could get someone more beautiful than me by your side."
She walked out of his cabin with a perfect smile once again and continued with her work as if nothing happened.
Long Yuzhou, who walked out of his room earlier, reached the dark basement. He looked at his phone which displayed a caller ID that said, 'Bunny'. He hesitated for a while before pressing on the call button, waiting nervously for the call to connect. The phone rang for few seconds before it connected revealing a sweet honey dew voice saying,
"Oh!~ Mr. Long finally remembered me? I was heartbroken that you forgot about me."
A shy smile appeared on Long Yuzhou's face, making him glow in the dark basement. He voice softened as he said
"Does my bunny miss me or is actually sulking with me?"
A laughter was heard on the other end which sounded like a handful of pearls clattering on the glass surface. Long Yuzhou couldn't help but laugh a little as he continued knowing that laughter is the answer for his question.
"Is my bunny available tomorrow? I'm planning on bringing you to a party tomorrow evening."
There was a pause on the other end before a teasing tone reverberated.
"Is Mr. Long asking me out tomorrow for a date? If yes, then I'm available."
Long Yuzhou shook his head at the teasing as he explained.
"It's a business meeting and I need a partner to attend it. But if you want, we can go on a date after it."
Long Yuzhou suggested making the person on the other end excited as a cheerful tone sounded saying,
"Sure!~ Let's go on a date tomorrow! I really miss being wrapped in your embrace, feeling your warmth seeping through my skin."
Long Yuzhou's face reddened a little hearing it as he coughed a little to adjust his tone as he said
"Stop teasing me bunny or you will suffer tomorrow. Come to our usual place by 5 pm. I'll pick you up before heading to the party."
Once again a teasing tone appeared on the other end saying
"I can't wait to be ruined by Mr. Long tomorrow. Let's meet tomorrow! Bye, sweetheart~ Muah!~~"
The call ended on the other side with a loud kiss. Long Yuzhou looked at his phone with a sweet smile tugging at the corner of his lips, his ears reddened.
Long Yuzhou returned to his cabin after the call and continued his work regarding the new merger but didn't notice the strange look on Zhu Lian who was looking at him from time to time.
The sky was filled with streaks of orange hue when Long Yuzhou came out of his cabin, walking towards the parking lot to return back home. Zhu Lian's gaze followed Long Yuzhou like a predator till he disappeared behind the lift. She didn't leave her place as she slowly packed her things, preparing to return home.
Once in the parking lot, she unlocked her car and threw the bag inside, getting on the driver seat. She ignited the car, pressed on the gas pedal as the engine roared to life, hitting the road in seconds. She drove back home like a bolt of lightning. She reached her apartment earlier in the evening when the sky started getting dark. She didn't bother to light up her home, as she straight away walked to her bathroom at a fast pace. She turned on the hot shower, letting the warm water wash away the frustration she was feeling for a long time today.
Zhu Lian came out of the bathroom after a long, comfortable hot shower. She loosely draped a bathrobe over her damp skin, not bothering to tie the rope together. She walked over to her closet slowly, standing before the full length mirror. She observed her reflection in the mirror which glistens because of the moonlight. She raised her hand, tracing it over her body in the reflection, her face twisted in anger. She growled as she banged her hand over her closet,
"Mr. Long! Aren't I hot enough for you to look at me? Why don't you pay attention to me?! You even treat your enemy with such care, why can't you do it for me?! I was by your side, supporting your every project."
She grabbed the nearby flower vase, threw it on the ground, shattering it into several pieces. She slumped on the bed, heaving in anger as he continued lamenting.
"Mr. Long! Do you know how I felt when I saw you blushing when you returned to your cabin today?! Who dares to evoke such a reaction from you other than me? Is she more attractive and hotter than me?! You give me everything, position, promotion, money, literally everything but not your attention. Even the interns get your attention but not me. Why? Why are you only biased towards me?"
She was silent as she calmed down, breathing heavily while looking down at herself. She was accessing herself as a cold laughter left her. She lifted her hand, covering it over her face while laughing. She said between the laughter.
"Hahaha! Mr. Long,.... Mr. Long haha I don't know you could be just like any other man out there. Is she that great in bed that makes you blush and run behind her like a tamed puppy?"
She let herself fall on the bed freely, eyes glued to the ceiling, silent for a moment. Her voice softened as her hands hovered over her body.
"Mr. Long~ Do you know how I desire to have those big, sculptured hands of yours to ruin me. How I want to lose myself under you in your embrace? When will you truly pay attention to me?"
As she lay on the bed, the damp bathrobe fell open, exposing the heavy swell of her chest as her breathing turned ragged. Her eyes stayed glued to the ceiling as she imaged those honey hued orbs, big slender fingers on her body as her tender fingers traced over the curves of her body evoking a sharp, intense heat in her core.
The ceiling started to blur with the image of those sharp faces of Long Yuzhou as her fingers fondled her cherry with heavy breathing. She was so lost in the intense sensation that she failed to notice the changes happening around her.
The heated atmosphere in her room suddenly turned cold as darkness completely enveloped around her. The shadows started moving sluggishly around her, as if they were observing her intensely. Those shadows slowly started gathering together, forming a human-like structure. As her fingers moved faster, the shadow closed on her. The bed sank when the shadow climbed on it, moving between her wide spread, slim legs.
The shadow's head against her cherry, looking with its non-existent eyes the movement of her fingers fondling her cherry. Zhu Lian was breathing heavily as her face was flushed red and sweaty. Her free hand grabbed the sheet underneath tightly, her toes curling as she released her juice with one last thrust, filling the room with a breathy moan.
"Long Yuzhou~~~~~!"
Her juice splattered on the shadow. The shadow started to transform to reveal its true form. Its red lips opened as a pink flesh darted out, licking the moisture away. It lifted its head a little to look at her shuddering body still glimmering with the afterglow. It's red eyes fixed on the hazy eyes of Zhu Lian as a dewy, flirty tone filled the room saying,
"Ah~~~, you taste so sweet, hottie!"
