Chapter 277 - Chapter 277: Wandering Earth Also Wants to Cultivate

Chapter 277: Wandering Earth Also Wants to Cultivate

Crazy Diamond: Twenty thousand Points just for instant acquisition — that's absurd. I spent almost everything I had, I'm down to my 1,000 emergency reserve.

Roar of the Evil Dragon: Same situation. Feeling some regret right now.

Edward Newgate: Gurararara — if you think about it carefully, it's not really a problem. Roshi-san learned to cultivate Ki without using a single Point, didn't he?

Edward Newgate: Does that mean we Chat Group members can't learn anything without Points? Old Whitebeard doesn't believe that. The group file mentions that the most important requirement for accumulating Ki is having the physical constitution to support it. If the constitution is there, everything else follows.

Edward Newgate: Is there anyone in this Chat Group whose physical constitution is insufficient?

Eternally Seventeen: Agreeing with Whitebeard on this one — and I've already started. Going into seclusion! See everyone in a month!

Eternally Seventeen: Actually — I don't think it'll take a month. Half a month!

RawrSoFierce: You going into seclusion for half a month? You'll be back in the chat by noon.

Eternally Seventeen: Ahem, ahem… a youkai never folds, and noon is admittedly a bit extreme. A day is achievable.

Kaguya-sama: Group file received. School is on spring break for two weeks — I can spend the time working on Ki.

Master Roshi: Ahem! To clarify — anyone who can move an object weighing ten tons has essentially no physical barrier to accumulating Ki. How quickly they progress after that is a matter of talent.

Little Sakura of the Tohsaka: Ten tons… Yukari-nee, should I switch to physical training?

Eternally Seventeen: Not necessary — your magic system can develop physical constitution alongside it. Abandoning your current foundation would waste everything you've built.

No member of the Chat Group was uninterested in Dragon Ball's Ki. Even Wandering Earth — a non-living entity — was reading the group file with something that registered as curiosity.

The question Wandering Earth kept circling: could a non-living entity cultivate Ki?

The file had said it explicitly: Ki exists everywhere — in mountains, rivers, flowers, trees, all living things. If it was truly everywhere, was there a version of "everywhere" that included a planet that happened to be sentient?

The deliberation was real. There was no downside to trying. Its daily schedule was: Arena for some fights against star-busting-class opponents, then drifting through space. The free time was enormous. A low-stakes experiment with no cost beyond some time seemed worth attempting.

Okay. Decided. Starting today. Work toward channeling the planet's own force into a Kamehameha. …Actually — if I can cultivate Ki with a planet's worth of mass behind it, what would the Kamehameha look like?

The optimism was pure and untroubled by any anticipation of failure.

Wandering Little Planet: Decided! I'm going to try cultivating too. Maybe it'll work? If it does, that would be amazing.

Kaguya-sama: Wait, seriously? Are you being serious right now?

Kaguya-sama: I remember Admin-sama saying Roshi-san can destroy the Moon with a single full-power strike. And Wandering Earth could shatter the Moon just by hitting it. If something like that learns to use Ki…

Kaguya-sama: One Kamehameha and a planet just explodes?

Crazy Diamond: Shaking. The lower-ranked members are shedding tears of envy.

Kaguya-sama: The lower-ranked members are shedding tears of envy.

Master Roshi: Wait — wait a moment. "Shatter the Moon by hitting it"? What does that mean?!

Crazy Diamond: Oh right — Roshi-san just joined today. @Wandering Little Planet — this particular member has the largest physical scale in the group. Its true form is a planet. Roughly Earth-sized. Or it literally is an Earth.

Master Roshi: Pfft — a pl— a planet?! That's somewhat alarming!

Master Roshi: A planet is in this group? And if a planet successfully cultivates Ki — wouldn't that make it an extinction-level threat to entire galaxies?

RawrSoFierce: In theory, Wandering Earth probably can't do it. The group file does say Ki exists even in non-living objects — but whether that means a sentient planet can cultivate it is genuinely unknown. It can only try. There's no downside.

Wandering Little Planet: Admin-sama actually supports me! I will absolutely not let Admin-sama down!

Wandering Little Planet: I am Admin-sama's most devoted fan, I'm devoted, so devoted! prprprprprpr...

The corner of Ryū's mouth twitched. He'd noticed, and it was slightly strange — Wandering Earth had a particular gravitational pull toward him during group activities. It always seemed to drift toward his vicinity. The feeling was not unlike having a very affectionate pet.

An exceptionally large pet.

Somewhat spherical.

He turned his attention to his Points balance. 19,000. If he wanted instant Ki acquisition, he only needed 1,000 more. But accumulating 1,000 more meant time — even at 100 Points per sign-in and the premium member daily bonus, that was minimum nine days.

The plan: spend the next several days getting properly acquainted with his newly upgraded strength, and attempt to cultivate Ki manually during that period. If he could manage it himself, 20,000 Points saved. If not, he'd reconsider after the balance recovered.

"Right — I haven't signed in today yet. Can't waste a day."

He tapped the daily sign-in. The balance updated: 80 Points added, bringing the total to 19,080.

Then he stepped into the Arena.

This session wasn't about burning Points — it was about calibration. He had the 80 from sign-in, which translated to four Arena revivals if he needed them.

Four lives was plenty for getting comfortable with new strength.
