Chapter 227 - The Little Tiger

On a patch of lush green grass, an unconscious man lay sprawled on the ground.

Three women stood beside him.

One was an adult, while the other two were young girls. All three stared curiously at the man on the ground.

Smack, smack~

The little girl stepped twice on the man's face with her bare feet and asked the woman beside her curiously, "Sis, this guy doesn't have any injuries. Why is he unconscious?"

The woman in red narrowed her eyes. She raised her bare foot, preparing to step down, when the man's brow twitched. He seemed to be waking up.

"Sis! He looks like he's waking up!"

The voice gradually became clearer from the haze.

Ren Kurogane frowned and mumbled, "Who… who is it? I'm sleeping… Keep it down~"

The next moment, a cool jade-like foot pressed against his face. It stepped down hard as the woman spoke through her stomach, "Wake up! If you don't, you're dead!"

"Huh?"

Ren Kurogane's head was full of questions. He opened his eyes groggily and saw three figures in red, blue, and green.

The blue figure also seemed to have a hint of red mixed into it.

He looked around again.

There was a tree above him, and grass beneath him.

"Fuck! What kind of place is this?"

Ren Kurogane's mind was in turmoil, his gaze unfocused.

Then he looked at the three women.

His mind went completely blank for two and a half seconds.

During those two and a half seconds, countless thoughts flashed through his head.

This outfit, that hair color, those fox ears…

There was no mistake.

These three were the three Tushan sisters!

Ren Kurogane quickly surveyed his surroundings and immediately shouted, "Hey! What kind of film set is this? Where's the camera? Where's the director? You brought me to this place without my permission! That's kidnapping!"

Yaya, standing behind him, watched curiously. She had never heard any of the things Ren Kurogane was talking about.

Then a tiny bare foot stepped onto Ren Kurogane's face, followed by a childish voice.

"Hey, little tiger! What did all those things you just said mean?"

"Huh?"

Ren Kurogane suddenly felt an enormous force hit him. His body, which had just sat up, toppled backward.

Bang!

He hit the ground and immediately passed out again.

Yaya's expression stiffened. She hurriedly explained to her older sister in red, "Sis! I didn't use any strength just now! This guy's pretending to be hurt!"

The woman in red was none other than the current Tushan leader, Tushan Honghong.

Looking at the unconscious Ren Kurogane on the ground, she said, "Take him back. We'll treat him first."

"Okay!"

Yaya happily picked Ren Kurogane up and dragged him back toward Tushan.

Halfway there, the idiot managed to knock Ren Kurogane awake.

He was still completely dazed.

I really crossed over?

Even now, Ren Kurogane couldn't quite believe it.

Crossing into another world was one thing, but why did it have to be Fox Spirit Matchmaker?

This world…

Humans didn't have long lifespans!

"Wait. No! That idiot called me a little tiger. Could I be a demon?!"

As soon as that thought occurred to him, Ren Kurogane couldn't wait to confirm his guess.

He raised his head toward the idiot carrying him and asked, "Miss Fox Fairy, may I ask if there's a mirror around here?"

"You're awake!"

Hearing his voice, Yaya excitedly put Ren Kurogane down and stared at him with bright eyes.

"Quick, tell me what all those things you said earlier mean!"

"Forget that for now! Miss Fox Fairy, could you bring me a mirror?"

Ren Kurogane forcefully cut Yaya off.

He knew the personalities of these three fox demons fairly well. The Yaya of this period was an idiot, and, of course, she wasn't exactly smart in the future either.

Still, the current Yaya was much easier to fool than her future self.

After being interrupted so abruptly, Yaya's brain short-circuited for a moment. She thought about it before saying, "There isn't a mirror here. There's one in a room."

"That's great! Please take me to the room, Miss Fox Fairy!"

Ren Kurogane was delighted. He grabbed Yaya's little hand and urged her along.

Seeing how anxious he seemed, Yaya blankly nodded and was about to take Ren Kurogane to a room with a mirror.

Just as the two were about to leave, a slender hand lifted Ren Kurogane off the ground.

He turned around and saw Honghong smiling at him.

"Little tiger, why do you want a mirror?"

She called me little tiger again?

Ren Kurogane muttered inwardly.

He had basically confirmed that he really had become a tiger demon.

But until he saw it with his own eyes, he couldn't put his mind at ease.

While Ren Kurogane was thinking about this, Honghong continued, "Yaya, condense an ice mirror and let this little tiger see what he looks like."

Yaya, the idiot, slapped her hands together.

"Right! I can use ice magic to make a mirror!"

As she spoke, she cast her spell.

A two-meter-tall block of ice appeared in front of them.

Its surface was smooth, reflecting the figures of everyone standing before it.

Ren Kurogane hurriedly looked over.

He saw a pair of round white animal ears on his head. His body and face were still human, but behind him was a cylindrical tail patterned in black and white.

"I… really became a demon?"

Ren Kurogane stared blankly and blurted out the words.

Hearing this, Honghong and Rongrong immediately frowned.

That statement, combined with Ren Kurogane's earlier insistence on looking into a mirror, contained far too much information.

Suddenly, Ren Kurogane looked at Honghong with delight.

"So you're the legendary Tushan leader! Tushan Honghong?"

"Hmm?"

Honghong stared at Ren Kurogane with her eyes, seemingly examining him.

But Ren Kurogane would bet that with Honghong's brainpower, she definitely wouldn't figure out that he was acting.

That's right.

During those two and a half seconds when his brain had short-circuited, Ren Kurogane had already thought of several possibilities.

First, someone might be playing a prank on him.

That's why he had immediately shouted about the director and camera. If there really were a director or crew, they should have appeared by now.

Of course, even if they were deliberately hiding to mess with him, Ren Kurogane had a backup plan.

But Yaya's kick, along with the fact that these people had carried him around, had already made him realize that he had probably really crossed over.

Now that he had seen the ice radiating cold air, Ren Kurogane was truly convinced.

Next, he had to find a way to stay in Tushan.

Tushan might be obsessed with money, but at least his life wouldn't be in danger here.

And if he could cling to Yaya's thick leg, he'd have a comfortable life where he wouldn't have to worry about food or drink!

So what he needed to do now was invent an identity interesting enough to make the three sisters curious.

And he had already thought of one.

Seeing Honghong's puzzled expression, Ren Kurogane immediately explained, "Miss Fox Fairy! To tell you the truth, I'm actually someone from the future!"

"The future?"

Rongrong looked curious.

The idiot Yaya also bounced excitedly as she shouted, "The future? What future? Did you travel through time?"

"More likely, you've taken over someone else's body," Honghong said.

The leader of Tushan might not have been particularly clever, but she wasn't stupid either.

Travel through time?

Someone like this little tiger?

Did he really take Tushan Honghong for an idiot?

"Tell me! Why did you come to Tushan? Who sent you?"
