Chapter 189 - Martial God Body

At this moment, in a corner of Earth.

"Damn it! Connect me to Karl. Tell him his idiot Crocodile God was killed by the Blackfury Squad!" Morgana cursed, her mind a mess of irritation. She thought she had gained a decent thug this time, but the guy ran off the moment he was resurrected—and even worse, he got killed!

Morgana went from extreme joy to extreme disappointment in just a few minutes.

"The Blackfury Squad are ruthless. They executed Sobek in such a short time!" Through this incident, Morgana's view of Earth began to shift. What she once thought was a rabid mob now looked like a group with immense potential. "This Queen will go scout them out in a couple of days."

Meanwhile, the call to "Fart God" Karl went through, and Morgana gave him a piece of her mind without holding back!

Aboard the Yacht.

Ren Kurogane thought to himself: There shouldn't be any major incidents for a while. I can focus on researching God Body data.

Ge Xiaolun had already sent over the data for the Indestructible Body. Now, Ren had everything he needed to construct his own God Body—he just needed to merge his Qi-Gong genes with the Indestructible data to create the Martial God Body.

After greeting the others, Ren began his closed-door cultivation. Time flew, and a month passed. During this time, Morgana dropped by the Giant Gorge for a "visit" and ran into her "daughter," Qiangwei. From then on, Morgana's attitude toward Earth did a complete 180-degree turn!

When Ren finished his seclusion, he saw Qiangwei being endlessly annoyed by Morgana's persistent pestering. The two were even arguing, which left Ren speechless. This is only because Morgana's maternal instinct has kicked in. If any other Second-Generation Super Soldier dared to talk back to a Fourth-Generation God, they'd be pulverized on the spot.

Thinking of these two reminded Ren of the Angel Queen, Kaisha. As the strongest god in the known universe, the fact that she spoke kindly to Ge Xiaolun, a mere future god, proved that she really was a "good person."

After greeting Qiangwei, Ren went to find Leina for energy. Over the month, he had witnessed the power of the Indestructible Body. During the fusion process, after a tiny bit of initial rejection, the Indestructible Body seemed to realize the Qi-Gong was beneficial and actively merged with it. Thus, it only took a month for Ren to complete the construction.

"Sister Na!!"

A loud shout drew Leina's attention away from Qiangwei. "What's up?"

"Hehe~ Need a little energy!"

Leina rolled her eyes. She knew Ren wouldn't come looking for her without a reason. "Open your Dark Plane connection. I'll transfer it."

"Thanks, Sister Na!"

Soon, a vast amount of energy flooded in, nourishing the data in Ren's Dark Plane. A circle of golden light appeared around him, looking incredibly divine.

Boom!

A golden aura exploded from Ren, sending a shockwave through the surroundings.

"You did it!" Leina studied Ren with excitement. A god had just been born right before her eyes? This was a novel experience for her. Qiangwei and Morgana also looked over.

"A new god?" Morgana looked at Ren with interest, scanning his body via the Demon No. 1 computer. Instantly, the name of Ren's God Body appeared on her screen.

"Martial God Body? Interesting."

Qiangwei blinked beside Ren, smiling in surprise. "Ren! You succeeded?!"

Ren nodded slightly. "Succeeded. From now on, I'm a god too!"

Envy flashed in Qiangwei's eyes. She knew Ren's "Grandmaster at Arms" gene wasn't supposed to be a top-tier one—or so she thought. Actually, the gene Leina gave Ren wasn't some common stock; it was a super gene the Leiyang planet had developed by secretly researching Sun Wukong's genetic code. While not originally a God Body, its combat development was modeled after the Great Sage.

Soon, the rest of the Blackfury Squad rushed over, curiously asking Ren what it felt like to become a god. Nearby, the second team members were swimming in the sea, but seeing their instructors vanish, some began to slack off.

A day later.

"Brother Monkey! Please advise me!" Ren held a staff radiating golden light, looking solemnly at Sun Wukong.

"Go ahead. Let Old Sun see your strength," Wukong said casually, his posture relaxed.

Swoosh!

Ren's body blurred, leaving afterimages as he lunged at Wukong. He swung the golden staff with massive force, striking directly at Wukong's head!

Dong—

Upon impact, Ren felt the muscles in his arms tear from the recoil. His palms felt like they were splitting open, leaving him numb. Wukong remained unfazed, a faint golden light shielding him.

"A First-Generation Martial God Body isn't hard enough, and my Qi-Gong isn't strong enough yet. But the true power of this body isn't just physical defense!"

Ren flipped back, creating distance. The golden staff vanished, and his eyes turned a brilliant gold. His aura surged.

"Oh?" Wukong grew interested, his own eyes glowing with the Fiery Eyes and Golden Pupils. In an instant, he saw through Ren's state. "This is much stronger than before."

Ren smirked. "Qi-Gong is now fully merged with my body. Every strike's power is enhanced."

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Ren's figure flickered around Wukong, landing punches and kicks. With every strike, his speed increased as if it had no upper limit. The surrounding earth was pulverized by Ren's footwork, yet the ground directly beneath Wukong remained untouched.

After allowing Ren to attack for several minutes to gauge his limits, Wukong gave a cold huff. A burst of energy sent Ren flying. He rolled several times before stabilizing, the golden light fading as he returned to normal.

"The gap between me and Brother Monkey is still too huge," Ren laughed bitterly.

Wukong comforted him: "Kid, you're already doing great. In Old Sun's view, the Taotie can no longer threaten Earth."

Ren shook his head. "Our threat was never the Taotie. That damned Styx Galaxy is the real enemy."

A day later, at noon, Ren was woken by an alarm.

"What's happening?" he asked his Dark Plane system.

"The Taotie have launched a surprise attack!" Leina's explanation was succinct.

Ren donned his Black Armor and leaped toward Ge Xiaolun. "Xiaolun can fly; go support immediately. We'll be right behind you!" Leina ordered.

As they flew toward the City of Valleys in a fighter jet, the mood was heavy.

"This Taotie attack isn't a simple probe," Leina said. "We executed Sobek and proved our strength to the universe."

Ren added, "The Taotie have likely been abandoned by Karl. To survive now, they have to fight us to the death."

"Seems the Taotie are even more pathetic than us, huh?" Zhao Xin laughed, though it was a hollow sound. Weak civilizations didn't even get to choose how they died.

Ren didn't care about the Taotie's fate. To him, they were just research material. He wanted their starships and high-tech tech to jumpstart his own fleet.

Soon, they reached the city. Ge Xiaolun's greatsword had grown massive as he spun through the Taotie ranks like a whirlwind. Ren looked at the Taotie mothership and said to Qiangwei: "Qiangwei, teleport us to their main ship."

"Easy!" Qiangwei laughed.

A second later, Ren appeared before a group of blue mechs. "So these are the Taotie?" The mechs aimed their laser rifles and fired without hesitation!

Ren dodged the beams, the golden aura of his Martial God Body enhancing his attributes. He lunged forward, punching through a Taotie's mechanical chest with raw force. Then, a golden blade appeared in his other hand, cleaving the mech's head in two.

He carved a path to the main hall and kicked the door open. A laser blast struck him, but it couldn't even penetrate the Qi-Gong layer on his skin.

Shifu (Taotie King) watched with glowing red mechanical eyes, seemingly surprised. "You are the commander of this fleet?" Ren asked. Since this Taotie King hadn't been fully upgraded by Karl yet, he looked different from his later versions, and Ren didn't recognize him.

The King prepared to answer, but Ren lunged again. "I don't care who you are. If you aren't human, you're going down!"

Ren had no patience for "robot talk." In his Martial God state, a golden hammer appeared in his hand, and he slammed it into the King's head!

Dong—

The King's head was partially flattened, and he was blasted off his throne, crashing through several pillars. Ren's Dark Plane system instantly analyzed him: "Damage at 30%."

"Only 30% from one hit? This guy is much harder than the ones outside!"

The Taotie King's mind was in turmoil. He was the strongest of his race, yet he was nearly sent to the afterlife by one hammer strike. It seems our race is about to return to the embrace of my God, he thought. To a Taotie, death wasn't scary, but failing Karl's orders was.

No! Even if I die, I must—

Boom!

Ren didn't wait for him to get up. This was a war of civilizations, and the enemy was an invader. Ren believed in finishing them off completely.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Ren's hammer rained down on the Taotie King until he was pounded into a deep crater, his mechanical body crushed into a two-dimensional state.

"Astral, check his survival probability."

"Detection result: Survival probability is zero."
